Hey mate I used ASAKO, just the 7000 with the touch screen. I have it in the waterproof case for diving and kayaking. Can't fault it tbh, you can remote control it too which is handy for when you have your hands full. Got it on a boxing day sale myself too. There's a pack with a ton of attachments and stuff that might be useful too like harness and float ect that was cheap too. Might be useful for you.
Another vote for AKASO. For $43 I got a camera that does everything My old GoPro would do. All you have to do is buy a memory card and you are good to go.
Yes, for my purposes. Same waterproof, same ease of navigation, same zoom function, same image stabilization, the box also comes with a very good assortment of attachments. One of the things it does better than my GoPro is transfer images directly to my phone… Very seamless. I have the 7000 model. https://a.co/d/00Xg1DgK
Hey, to answer your question though, I think the Akaso EK7000 Pro is a great budget option. I think it's around $100. If you want to, you can look up my YouTube channel, same name as my username here, my most viewed video was using that camera. It doesn't have many bells and whistles, but has good battery life and footage just looks great underwater. Hope that helps!
I use two Akaso EK7000 Pro cameras, one front, one rear. 18 months of 3-4 days a week use and still going strong. Had around 15 of 20 ish near misses actioned by Police on Operation Snap, although recently they seem to have dried up. I did hear a rumor that the number of clips submitted was overwhelming Police resources. The only problem with the Akaso is that it loses the date/time if you take the battery out for more than a nanosecond, which is a PITA for battery swaps. But you can charge them with the battery in the camera.
Akaso EK 7000 Pro. Cheap, reliable, footage is great 99% of the time (it struggles with number plates a bit at night especially if it's raining). I run one up front and one at the rear. 2 years on and they still cover my 1hr commute easily on a charge. The only downside is they have an issue where the camera loses date and time when you swap battery. However, if you charge via the camera usb port it's a non issue.
The Akaso 7000 is good. Bought it for Maui snorkeling last May and I’ll bring it back this May as well.
Cool. I have an Akaso EK7000 4K, and use a Sony ICDPX470 for audio. Low light it's not too good, battery life could be better but i think that's normal for these things if you have them connected to your Bluetooth or wi-fi
I got an Akaso EK7000 Ultra HD. it's pretty good, battery life and low light usage are definitely weak points. Its a budget GoPro. I still use a recorder for audio.
Cool, i picked the one that came with the waterproof case and accessories. Amazon i believe. Has a remote too, i put that on my handlebars to control the camera while its on my helmet.
