I have decided to go for DJI action 4. Can you suggest some good accessories as well like the chin mount , bike mount and what kind of mic to use.
Yes it was very smooth.. One thing I liked the most about the app is that if your camera and app are connected then you can directly download photos on your camera to your mobile phone.
I have a DJI Action 4 and it’s great. I do pov mountain biking videos and use it occasionally for an ultra wide shot in concert videos. Does well enough in low light. I’ve heard there’s no meaningful differences the 4 and 5.
I have a DJI Action 1 and a DJI Action 4 and it's leaps and bounds better in image stabilization. I previously had to apply stabilization in iMovie for the Action 1 but the DJI Action 4 footage is just great out of the camera. The v5 and v6 add better low light and ability to use more than 1 bluetooth mic.
I bought dji action 4. and after some tweaks and configuration you can see the quality [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24SdmUdhAMA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24SdmUdhAMA) Original video is even better. youtube decreases the quality
Probably I'm a bit annoying already. I've bought DJI Action 4 and I regret a bit not to buy Action 5 it is the same but a bit lighter image. here is my new channel where you can see the quality: [https://www.youtube.com/@velolike](https://www.youtube.com/@velolike) first video was in full hd and after uploading to youtube it became horrible. the second I made in 4k. It looks a bit noisy - but I understood that the reason are bricks. When I ride on the asphalt the image is much better. Sensor is the same for both cameras, but for Action 5 they improved light. That is why in my video it looks dark in a dark weather. I hope it helps.
I have a DJI Action 4 and it’s the best budget to quality ratio. The camera itself is very good. Crispy and colourful images and is way cheaper than the latest models which are marginally better. https://preview.redd.it/wfit9dzu77ng1.jpeg?width=3648&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1f4ac3bb496a29e8b9af5bd65de7305bae516d7 Like this one taken on our recent trip
Personally DJI Action 4 is best value , GOPro is very good too. I found Action 4 bit better and smoother with better build in underwater filter. Just a bit better for my needs. Mostly snorkelling 🤿. Just stick to these 2 brands and you’ll be happy. I also use Olympus tough TG for underwater pictures which has very nice macro option which is lacking in action cameras. But if this is your first one just get DJi or the GoPro and you’re good 👍. Enjoy it https://preview.redd.it/m5ywdbhysucf1.jpeg?width=3648&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82570e49b7e31ce19b808f31ff02bc3953a924dc Quick example
I’m loving it coming from the action 4. Much better in low light and crop ability now also with 8k is very useful if you do social media content. I also enjoy the macro lens ability. Not sure the image quality will be much better than an iPhone but the issue with phone recording is control of the image you want and overall durability. I also have the pocket 3 and usually grab the action 6 just bc of how quick and easy it is to throw it in my bag along w the durability compared to the pocket 3.
I have an Osmo action 4 and I'm more than satisfied with it!
I don't, I'm sorry about that. Though, if you want, I can send you a couple of videos I took with my action 4 this summer? I went scuba diving in the Mediterranean, south of France, during a week of not-great weather conditions so essentially shitty light and bad visibility due to high water turbidity, and it still held up really, really well. My honest opinion being, unless you're really suffering from GAS, Action 4 fulfills every need you could have regarding underwater recording capabilities even for a semi-pro or pro workflow (battery life, IQ, lowlight capabilities, 10-bit D-Log M color depth and profile, slow-mo capable, stabilization, all that jazz) up until the point you'd have to upgrade to dedicated gear like a GH-5 or whatever. And by doing that, you'd get the quasi-same performance as an Action 6, but with money to spare for accessories or for activities on your holidays. Or paying the bills. That kind of stuff. Oh also, unlike go-pros (from what I've heard from friends that had them)... They don't overheat, lol. So far I've never had my camera thermal shutdown on me.
For the about the same price you can also grab a DJI Osmo action 4 on Amazon, and I feel it's light years ahead of an older GoPro for that purpose. But comparison videos on YouTube are your friend, and if you have to choose, your feeling matters more than just technical specs, so have a look for yourself :)
I use a GoPro 10 camera and a DJI Osmo Action 4. Both have good stabilization, and the 4K 60fps footage is incredible. You can see the results on my YouTube channel. [https://youtube.com/@alaingsadventure?si=wGhYaHDucA12cWZG](https://youtube.com/@alaingsadventure?si=wGhYaHDucA12cWZG)
I have a GoPro 10 and I recently bought a DJI Osmo Action 4, and frankly, the image quality of the Action 4 is superior, even with the same 4K 60fps settings. Not to mention how easy it is to add wireless microphones!
