Second this, I get 3 hours+ from my Drift XL pro, and in a pinch you can plug it into a USB powerbank and charge whilst you film. And yes, the mic is appalling. It's fine when you aren't riding, but anything above 20mph and it's unusable audio.
I use this one as well and I'd recommend it. If you're recording to use the footage in vlogs or something like that then the quality isn't going to be good enough but for a dash cam it's perfect. Really good battery life.
Drift ghost pro xl. Battery life is pretty good lasting 6-10 hours depending on setting. I get roughly 8 but hard to say as i charge my helmet and camera when my helmet low battery.
I can say the drift XL pro served me well with a battery life of 4-6 hours. Loop recording or normal if you have a large SD card. Only let down is the stabilisation is terrible on this thing, better left off so you get the full fov. I now use a DJI action 5 with three batteries each lasting around 2-3 hours each. In the charging case you can charge 3 simultaneously which is handy when on my move. The stabilisation is much better compared to the drift pro, however as with most action cameras you Need to consider the mounting options.

Films in 2.7k & 4k as well as 1080p all at 60fps or less if needed. Long battery life that’ll last a days ride
I use a Ghost XL mounted under my Garmin. Easily get 10 hours of battery life and continuous recording. Seen them around $99 on Amazon.
I tried a cheapo job from Amazon - there's a dozen brands that are identical and mine isn't available now. For about 30 bob it wasn't the worst, worked enough to show what's going on. Upgraded to a Drift Ghost XL after that though which honestly worked really well - I liked the waterproof charging cable and "dashcam" feature that automatically turned it on and set to recording once I plugged it either into the Bike's USB power or a power bank. This was 150 quid at the time, think it's the same value now. Recently though I upgraded to a DJI Osmo Action 5 and honestly feels like a satisfying improvement - battery life is enough to net me a few hours of 4K 60FPS footage and I can definitely see clearer with the nicely stabilised image. Can be charged while in use but I hear this can apparently affect the battery if you keep doing it while the battery isn't low? No idea. You can bag a set of 3 more batteries as well as a charger for about 45quid which is decent value! I got it on sale with an extra battery for about 380.
My Ghost XL Drift and Insta 360 X5 blink, never used a GoPro Edit: Bring on the downvotes, cameras blink, deal with it.
In this one, the one we live in? Both my cameras (Ghost Drift XL and Insta 360 X5) have lights, have you never used one before? You seem to have a weird agenda here and you're just making up bullshit to support it.
I'd recommend a 360 camera so you can get all angles. I use an Insta360 X5 either on the top of my helmet (sticks out a lot, very noticeable) with a safety break-away or I mount it to the front or back of my bike, supplemented by an additional Ghost Drift XL.
Your one would be the ghost series by drift innovations. Best standalone for this use case. Works like a dash cam, mounts well and good battery life.
