It’s different. I got a Pocket 3 last year and happily preordered a Mission 1 Pro. With the framerates GoPro will probably be ahead for this cycle, with comparable image quality. I like this form factor better, but that’s just preference

O damn, I missed that one. If it’s really 60cm, I’m probably going to cancel as well. I use it mostly for recording holidays and daytrips. Some vlogging/explaining is essential

Yes it's important. Smaller and lighter would be better, but I'm so used to the size and weight of Gopro 10 and 11 in Media Mod mounted on my helmet so that personally I don't mind if the Mission 1 is a bit bigger and heavier.

That's my understanding of the statement too. There'll be no more Hero series. For my need (motorcycle act cam) the Mission 1 looks like better alternative to Gopro 13. I'm sure I don't need the extra feautures of Mission 1 Pro. For me personally, the biggest thing is the wireless mic. For my gopro 11 I use a wired mic connected to media mod. I'm used to it and like it. But after using Mic Air wirelessly to insta360 X4, I really want a wireless mic for my Gopro.

Lol crazy take. No, not all features I want are there. I don't want manual focus, expensive lenses or 1" sensor or a bigger size.

There's a dedicated "dive mode" for underwater which will have increased stabilization suited specifically for underwater filming. Also a locked white balance to prevent color changes and some other underwater enhanced features.

The Mission 1 is basically the new flagship action cam just with a different name tbh 🤷‍♀️ All the features you want are there - better sensor, processor, same mounting system. The size difference is pretty minimal when youre strapping it to a helmet or bike anyway For MX and MTB the Mission 1 would be perfect since you get way better image quality and the form factor isnt gonna matter much when its mounted 💀

the size difference is not minimal at all. the hero 9 and subsequent cameras were already fairly large for pov stuff, especially compared to like an 11 mini or dji action 2 or insta 360 go. The new one is 50g (~25%) heavier and its wider and thicker and the lens protrudes way more.
