Definitely DO NOT get a GoPro Hero. They've had long standing reliability issues for years and made it abundantly clear they do give a single shit. It's especially annoying when you're on a motorcycle. They'd rather pump out a "new" camera with the same problems every year than to actually fix their shit. Never again will I invest in GoPro anything. Stick with DJI or Insta.
r/motorcycle • Fellow motovloggers, what camera would you suggest between these 3? ->look at the Insta OneRS - pretty old now so you should get a good deal or find second hand. It has two lenses, one 360, the other 2d. Example here: [https://youtu.be/6u5SG5iJnQY?si=G\_cBMNKEKA1SQUaG](https://youtu.be/6u5SG5iJnQY?si=G_cBMNKEKA1SQUaG) \- make sure you have switched Youtube to highest quality setting! Other thing to consider is how to wear it when kite surfing. Helmet mount best betbut if you don't wear a helmet then this is a whole other thread for 360 camera positioning Lenses will scratch but i seem to remember Insta offering overlays - but may have dreamt that
r/Kiteboarding • Action Cameras ->Yeah, who knows if GoPro will ever bring out an update to their 360 cam at this point. Their 360 is ancient af. My old Insta360 R (not even the RS) was already better than the GoPro 360, and even that model isn’t anywhere near as good as the X3. Yet I still keep seeing YouTubers compare GoPro 360 footage to modern 360 cameras, and I honestly don’t get why at this point.
r/Insta360 • Several reasons why I will not buy X5 and will keep X4 ->One RS Twin is a great camera. You can use it with the regular non-360 lens or go full 360. I had it for about a year and loved it before I sold it and got an Ace Pro and X3.
r/Insta360 • Best 360 all-rounder? ->Personally I just picked up the One RS Twin and I think it’s probably the best value for what you get: a 360 lens AND an action cam lens. It’s also in that familiar action cam shape too so you can get like cages and other accessories for it while still keeping the actual size pretty small.
r/Insta360 • Best 360 all-rounder? ->Agree on this. I had file corruption during video recording on insta360 one RS 1 inch until I switched to Sandisk Extreme Pro, the problem is almost non-existence since. Got an X4 for a recent trip using a 1TB Sandisk Extreme Pro, zero issues with recording. Video quality, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired.
r/Insta360 • Insta360 X5 In-Depth Review (36 mins) ->I got my X4 a month ago before my 2-week trip. I also own the One RS 1 inch. To be honest, having to toggle settings to deal with different lighting conditions in hopes of getting slightly better quality videos is annoying, unrealistic and in most cases, pointless. I don't know how often someone is going to be under "perfect lighting condition" - I don't. I don't expect any cameras to do great under low light, but at the very least, it needs to perform admirably under cloudy weather or reasonably lit indoors. By admirably I mean little to no grainy areas. If I were you I would return the X4 right away. I will be able to test the X5 tonight when I get home, but even if it turns out not a big improvement from the RS 1 inch, there is no reason to keep the X4 around. I bought my X4 from Costco - it seems I should have a 90-day timeframe to return it - and I am going to try to do it.
r/Insta360 • Insta360 X5 In-Depth Review (36 mins) ->Thanks for the reply. I did some video capturing of indoor and evening lighting outdoor using the X5 and the RS 1 inch, and viewed the videos on my iPad. I still find the RS 1 inch videos nicer to look at. For the X5 I went with 5.7K and 60fps with H.265 encoding. The grainy/noise is still too distracting to look at. Perhaps I should try the lowest setting for sharpness on the X5… I don’t know what else I could do to make the video of X5 better. Long story short, the 8K feels like a gimmick at the moment. I notice the iPad app has some nice improvements and it enhances the video of either camera. Update: I found the PureVideo mode, and gave it a try. I also set the sharpness to low - and that I think does make a huge difference regarding noise of the image. It seems I could even try 8K instead of 5.7K with PureVideo, which I will try next because right now the video is a bit blurry. Update 2: PureVideo mode 8K is the way to go for indoor medium to low light. Definitely low sharpness for every lighting level for me going forward.
r/Insta360 • Insta360 X5 In-Depth Review (36 mins) ->I changed back to medium sharpness with PureVideo 8K on X5 - the noise level remains under control. Yes, for the mid to low light condition, X5 videos look better than the RS 1 inch, especially when the camera is moving. I should mention that I watch the videos on my normal size iPad Air, and I do sometimes stick my face into the screen to look for issues. PureVideo does take the sharpness away slightly as a drawback. Under good light condition, I still feel RS 1 inch video looks better with less noise. I have read about people saying using PureVideo under good light condition could cause the video to lose details - but I am going to give it a try anyways.
r/Insta360 • Insta360 X5 In-Depth Review (36 mins) ->Most gopros are prety nice underwater. If dont force 4k no overheating problem at all. I tried my insta360 one rs underwater, that is a nightmare. Why dont u borrow few different cameras a decide yourself?
r/gopro • Best action camera for scuba diving and snorkeling? ->A few adds. The X4 vs One RS 360, I have both, obviously the 1 inch is better in low light, and I think it has a slightly better video but I use the X4 now as it's lighter. Also, I got rid of all of my non 360 cameras long ago and absolutely love 360, even if the best on the market still has lots of flaws
r/Insta360 • Is the X4 really that bad? ->Of the options in your budget I’d go with the DJI. The GoPro Hero 4K is a budget camera. While GoPro makes good cameras every budget camera they have tried to make has just had tons of issues. The One RS is old in insta360 lineup. Good audio wasn’t possible without using a separate audio recorder. The modular design was neat but insta360 has gone away from the modular platform so spares will become harder to replace.
r/motorcycle • Fellow motovloggers, what camera would you suggest between these 3? ->I recently purchased an older Insta360 action cam, the One RS Twin Edition. It's modular, and shoots both regular flat video and 360 degree video. At the time it offered more versatility than a GoPro. And I believe generally you get "more" for your money with Insta360. They've got free mobile and desktop software that is relatively easy to use, if at times a bit frustrating. My overall impression (not having used GoPro but having done enough research for my immediate needs) is that Insta360 is better for those don't care about a lot of professional options and settings etc. But GoPro seems to have superior functionality if you want better results and are willing to learn how to get them. That being said, as a professional, Insta360 is lacking in a lot of ways that I think a power user won't find acceptable. My next purchase will be GoPro.
r/gopro • Action camera for travel ->Insta360 or DJI action cam. The current crop of go pro cameras need to have the heavy duty (white) batteries and often will shut off due to the battery vibrating and the camera thinking it is overheating. My favorite for all around view is insta360 rs one with 360 module. It's discontinued, but great quality and size. The DJI action is great and usually on sale. For 4k the insta360 rs pro. PS, you don't need to respond to this comment and tell me your go pro works fine. I own 3-12 blacks, 6-11 blacks, a few 10s and I'm almost rid of all my 9s finally. I do video coaching and use them extensively, all run dev firmware.... I own 4 of the rs ones, 2 rs pros, 3-action 4s, an action 5 and 2 aim smartycam 3 units.
r/Karting • Action Camera Recommendations? ->Finally seeing the weight! The Qoocam 3 Ultra seems really heavy compared to the older Qoocam 8K I have (245g) I hadnt realised they'd upped the weight so much. I use an Insta360 One RS on a chinmount when MTBing and have seen people using X models (I guess the added weight doesn't pull their helmets down) but I definitely feel the 245g of the Qoocam 8K is too much for a chin mount.
r/Insta360 • Insta360 X5 In-Depth Review (36 mins) ->Insta360 is the best we’ve used and the 360 has major benefits.
r/Karting • Action Camera Recommendations? ->It has AI editing on the phone app. Which is dope and makes editing a breeze. It’s not a bad camera for your first one but… but.. the accessories are expensive I have a Sony camera, a few go pros but the 360 is really useful for getting the right angle without messing around with a tripod
r/Insta360 • Is X4 a good beginner action cam? ->Except for safari, GP13 is very good A good alternative could also be a 360 camera, especially for things like cage shark diving. I personally think Insta360 is better than GoPro for 3d cams
r/gopro • Action camera for travel ->I echo the 360. Pricy but worth it as it catches everything around you if setup correctly
r/motorcycles • Action camera or dash cam soon to be new rider. ->I'd suggest you to get the Action 4. Better vfm. Can get the action 5 spare batteries for better battery life (if needed). Insta 360 is doing different ball game. It's an awesome secondary camera but not a good primary one.
r/indianbikes • Camera suggestions needed for motorcycle vlogging ->Insta 360 anytime of the day
r/indianbikes • Camera suggestions needed for motorcycle vlogging ->I would pick the dji any day over the insta 360 for a primary camera. Although the insta 360 gives a very good variety of angles, there’s not much of creative freedom that comes with it. Dji on the other hand, you can connect your mic easily for vlogging; it has better clarity, the overall quality is also much better. Accessories for the dji are priced fairly and the intsa 360 mounts are known to be fragile so I personally would stay away from those. If you already have a main camera, then go for the insta and try new angles for cinematic shots, but bear in mind, if you end up damaging the 360, there’s almost no way of getting it repaired.
r/indianbikes • Camera suggestions needed for motorcycle vlogging ->If u want to vlog n need a good low light performances than go for Action 5 pro. DJI wireless mic system can be easily paired with Action 5. Please don't go for any GoPro. DJI n Insta360 r far ahead of it interms of technology n features. If u want versatility than go for Insta 360. Also wait for few days. Amazon freedom sale will be coming. U can get better deals on both if cameras.
