Tg7 with strobe is by far better. If going with another action cam GoPro isn’t the best anymore. Insta Ace pro or DJI have passed them

Yes, the TG 7 is a perfect machine! I was unsure if your experience level and so to me, the DJI action pro 5 is more amateur/hobby/consumer level for diving/action, but if like the TG 7 and have the experience level an try interest, I’d go with TG 7! It’s definitely a step above. To me, I prefer videography as oppose to videography so it was perfect for me! The TG 7 is miles ahead for photography. It makes amazing images

If you are interested in anything other than natural light video of relatively big things, then neither is the answer. If you are interested in photos then I think the answer is something like the TG 6 or 7. In our hands (www.blueviews.net) the current video from the GoPro 13 are quite nice and to me at least a bit better than the Insta. Bill

If video is your main focus, get an action camera. Personally I’ve just got an Olympus TG-7 and a case. I’ve found it to be much better for photographs than my GoPro.

Literally anything but GoPro. Olympus TG series. Or similar compact waterproof cameras - 10 times better quality for less money. Or phone underwater cases like SeaLife.

Straight to Olympus TG. Read at Backscatter.com about Olympus TG series and what you can do with them. You can make amazing photos and videos which worth printing and putting on wall. With GoPro you can… well, capture the moment. But video and photo quality is very low in comparison with TG + some video light or extra strobes.
