Big Boss - Oil-less Air Fryer, 16 Quart

I also searched for this .... Nothing really offered out the box from mfr nonstick coatings free besides a few glass models (ninja crispi - nano ceramic tray, fritaire, and big boss halogen)... There are some that come with nonstick trays that can be swapped for stainless, and supposedly the rest of the p65 warning is just for the power cord. I have just recently tried swapping the nonstick baskets in basket styles for 22 ga stainless steam table trays. They work well, but required modifications (cutting to fit) and need a mitt and spatula to take the basket in and out. Instant vortex mini 1300w (1/6 pan 2.5 in deep) and instant vortex slim 1700w narrow 6 qt (1/3 pan, 4" deep). You need to cut and remove the sharp edges on the steam table trays and they don't fit perfectly, but they do work well so far. I do like the cooking results though, and easy to stick in the dishwasher. Also, saw a reddit thread on swapping the instant 10qt vortex plus7in1 1500W trays, for plain bare stainless trays, and plan to see how well this works when it arrives... Ordered for $85, a week ago, but it's back to $150, if it's good may want to wait for another sale

I've made fries, wings, Panko breaded fish, steaks, Shake & Bake chicken....ton's of stuff and it all turns out fantastic. Check a couple of Youtube videos before you go out and buy an air fryer, you won't regret buying this one. It has the capacity to cook a lot of food at once.

We love our Big Boss air fryer but it was a pain carrying it back & forth to our motor home & it won't fit in our appliance pantry without evicting something else. Our son gave us his Instant Vortex Plus & we love it as much as the Big Boss. The rotisserie for French fries sealed the deal so the Big Boss stays in the motor home full time now & the Instant Vortex Plus lives in a corner on the kitchen counter. My Instant Pots, 3 & 6 quart, still have to travel back and forth, though. I should hit up the thrift stores for at least a 6 quart to keep the Big Boss company.

I ended up getting the Big Boss air fryer. Huge thing but it already comes as glass and stainless. There might be some Amazon stainless steel trivets I think might fit the crispi (would need to measure the dimensions), the only thing is they're mostly all round so it might not be a perfect fit. But should keep most of the food up.
