I bought my parents a Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. It has a proof function and it goes up to 480F. It fits a Staub (I think it's 4qt?) with the lid and knob though you have to be careful not to hit the quartz heating elements on the way out. It heats incredibly evenly, the macaron shells I've made in there came out perfectly.

This is the one I have too.

I have the Breville xx900 model. It’s basically replaced my oven. I can fit inside my 6.75qt Dutch oven on an angle. The slow cook function works fantastic. The air fryer function is slow, but does ultimately work.

I just bought a [Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5UPTZS) a month ago. Amazing product! It does everything right. So happy with the purchase. It's expensive, but definitely a worthy investment.

I have been using the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro and Convection Oven (BOV900BSS) for years. It does a great job for many things, including air frying (super convection). It was just on sale for $339 at Amazon Prime Day. It may be less on Black Friday. I rarely use my full size oven any longer. I purchased one for my mother and mother-in-law also, and they love it. Friends have even bought it too. No need to have a single-purpose air fryer when this does a better job and cooks a larger amount (air fryer mesh basket rack included) and has many uses.

The Breville is far and away the best. I have been using one for years - even the prior version before the super convection (air fryer) became available. I rarely use my larger ovens any longer. The current model - Breville BOV900BSS Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro and Convection Oven - is fantastic, I purchased it in 2018. It also holds a 9x11 pan. I have only had to replace it once, but I had the Asurion 4-year protection plan (purchased at Amazon) and replacement was easy. I bought my mother and mother-in-law one as well since they liked mine so much. Keep a watch for price reductions (it was recently $299 and also $319). Go to the camelcamelcamel website and you can look at historical prices and get notifications if the price falls below an amount you input, for Amazon.

I have that one in my cart but I read the non basket types don’t air fry well and are hard to clean

I’ve read the non basket ones don’t work great at air frying and are hard to clean?

I'd also look at CaldoBake Convection Oven, but it might be outside your budget. The Breville BOV900BSS **is** what I'd recommend. You want that 1 cu of space inside in case you ever want to bake a loaf of bread. After that, what to look for is that it will handle a 1/4 sheet (9.5" x 13") pan. Once you got that taken care of, you can make muffins, pizza, bread, re-heat, or air fry. The other consideration is the wall socket has to have it's own breaker and you need clearance around the unit for heat to dissipate (fire safety). I'd recommend to check the user manual online before buying to see if you have the space to use it without running into issues later (ie burn down your house). Good luck.

I have the Breville. I'd recommend it. You can bake a full loaf of bread (you got the height clearance) it in or a pizza. It will handle a 1/4 cookie sheet (13" x 9"). You also might not want the controls at the top where the heat can cook the electronics.

Breville smart oven pro Although they haven’t tested the Panasonic flashxpress which imo is better.

Yes… it was…. It’s their air fryer + toaster oven test. https://www.americastestkitchen.com/equipment_reviews/2075-air-fryer-toaster-ovens

Meh anything you read on reddit is just anecdotal, I wouldn't put too much stock in that. I mean I'm the perfect counter point to the other user, I've had the exact same Breville Smart Oven Pro since 2017 that we use daily (not always air frying though), Breville Bambino Plus (same as the other poster's mention in the espresso sub) since 2021, Breville Tea Maker since 2014, and all of them are still working perfectly fine, and looooong outlasted their warranties.

Try the Breville Smart Oven Pro (with air fryer). I don’t really think you need the air fryer upgrade, I’ve had the regular for 10 years and I just use the convection setting and an air fryer basket from Amazon, but you could get the air-fryer-specific one.
