"I’ve actually owned the Smart Oven Air for 5+ years now ... it’s absolutely amazing ... if it broke I would buy another one tomorrow"

"it's so much easier to throw something in, set program, timer, and temperature, and just wait for the BEEEEP that tells you that dinner's ready."
"Large knob’s and easy to use"
"And also, it's easier to clean. The whole base of mine just slides out and goes in the dishwasher."

"Mine is garbage for toasting ... Eight minutes and turn it to the darkest setting! 🤣"
"However it is not very good at making toast, so don’t replace your toaster."
"It's also fairly uneven at toasting; the part near the door toasts less than the part in the back."

"it absolutely radiated heat because there seems to be no insulation in there at all, to where it actually heated up the kitchen more than the full size oven does."

"The Breville air fry mode is its worst mode. ... It doesn’t air fry at all. ... Makes veggies soggy and doesn’t work like a real air fryer."
"I have constant smoking issues while using the air fry function. ... Even using foil, still smokes like a chimney."
"for anyone who wants something to be crisp, I'd especially recommend the Ninja Crispi. Soggy limp leftover fries come out every bit as good as when they were fresh."

We have a Breville Air Fryer/Toaster Oven combo. Purchased at Wal-Mart. I Love it - It gets used everyday!
r/BuyItForLife • Looking for an air fryer/mini oven combo? ->Another vote for Breville. Have one of the smart ovens, and it's been used daily (sometimes multiple times a day) for a little over a year now without issue. It's been flawless. It's so good that my full size oven is rarely used.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Air Fryers on the Market to Buy Now? ->Second this. Mine exactly fits a 9x13 pan with handles, which is perfect. However it is not very good at making toast, so don’t replace your toaster. However I have heard mixed reliability; I don’t expect it to last “for life” but barring a lemon, it would definitely last more than a year. Mine is three or four years old, used at least five times a week, and still doing fine.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Airfryer to Buy Right Now? ->Second Breville - I have the Smart Oven Air and it excels and everything.
r/Sourdough • Does anyone have any recommendations on toaster ovens, air fryers, or countertop ovens for sourdough baking? ->Definitely the Breville Smart Oven, it has a ton of space which is super useful for cooking bigger things like chicken.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Save up and get a Breville Smart Oven, if you can.
r/AussieFrugal • Airfryer oven/ toaster oven single person ->They are more expensive than the standard bucket type air fryer, but Breville “Smart Oven Air Fryer” is pretty solid. Great oven for smaller portion meals, toaster, broiler if you need it every now and then, and does a good job at air frying too. Note: air fryer instructions will take slightly longer than advertised on packages because heat isn’t as concentrated as the “bucket style” air fryers. Just a lot more versatile than the basic air fryer, but like I said more pricey as well. Currently $320 on Amazon, but I use ours a lot more than I do the oven just because it’s smaller and faster for most things.
r/Parenting • Is an air fryer worth it? ->I’ve been gradually switching most of my appliances to Breville because I really like the brand's quality and having matching pieces at home. The Smart Oven Air Fryer, which is 30% larger than the Smart Oven Pro, would be my pick. I found a great resource on another subreddit where you can [compare the specs of different air fryers](https://www.reddit.com/user/No-Competition-5766/comments/1i5jdq2/air_fryer_models_comparison_spreadsheet/). Worth checking it out when comparing options.
r/airfryer • Best Air Fryer Right Now? Recommendation? ->There is no such thing as "buying for life" with appliances. Lost count of the number of refrigerators, dishwashers and ranges I've had to replace over time. Buying higher quality items, such as the Breville smart oven, will reduce the frequency of replacement. Might make it to 10 years but the Ninja likely would not. Drawer air fryers are almost always going to be better than an oven air fryer. Most are cheaply made though and will fail sooner. My well reviewed Instant Pot is already on the way to the grave after a few years as the LCD display is failing. As for drying out depends on what you are cooking. Cooked chicken legs last night. Since they have a lot of fat no problem with it drying out. Crisp skin and moist interior.
r/airfryer • Can an air fryer oven truly replace both an oven and a frying pan? ->I have a number of Breville products. They are very high quality and I assume their combo oven/fryer is the same. Combo ovens do not do as good a job as dedicated air fryers. Personally I got the top rated, unfortunately cheaply made, air fryer. Wanted a good one and I will replace it when needed.
r/airfryer • Can an air fryer oven truly replace both an oven and a frying pan? ->I agree with the above commenter! I have a Breville Smart Oven and we have been using it for 3 years now almost daily. As a bonus it saves money and time vs having to heat a larger oven. https://www.breville.com/en-us/shop/ovens
