I live in a tiny apartment where counter space is basically nonexistent, and I didn’t want to spend $200+ on an air fryer I might regret. After reading mixed opinions online, I went ahead and bought the COSORI Pro LE and have been using it daily for about a month now. Here’s what I found: ✅ What worked: \- Heats up quickly \- Easy to clean (surprisingly big deal for me) \- Doesn’t take much space, fits perfectly on a small countertop ⚠️ What didn’t: \- The basket is smaller than it looks in product photos \- It’s not super quiet \- Some presets feel redundant — I mostly use manual settings Overall, I don’t regret buying it, but it’s not perfect. I think it makes sense if you want a solid air fryer that doesn’t take much room and isn’t too pricey. Happy to answer questions if anyone’s thinking about this model.
That’s actually a really good point about surface area vs footprint — I didn’t think to compare it that way before buying, but it makes total sense. A spreadsheet is next-level commitment. And interesting what you say about noise. This is my first air fryer, so I don’t really have a reference point. Compared to an oven or microwave it feels noticeable, but I can totally see how it might be quiet compared to older models. I’m with you on manual mode + preheat. Once you get used to it, the presets don’t add much. And yeah, the 450° max temp is a big plus — I’ve found it helps a lot with crisping. Do you mostly cook single portions, or do you ever feel limited by the basket size?
That makes sense now, thanks for clarifying. The extra surface area really does sound like the main upgrade, especially for foods that need to be spread out. I’ve noticed the same thing with fries versus things like chicken thighs. Fries really suffer if they’re even slightly piled up, while chicken is much more forgiving. What you said about surface area being the real limitation, not overall capacity, matches what I’ve been seeing with the Pro LE. It’s also interesting that the Turboblaze footprint isn’t much bigger. That kind of upgrade feels more justified if you’re gaining cooking flexibility without losing counter space. The fajitas example is a perfect case, piling them up just kills the texture. If I ever upgrade, surface area is definitely going to be higher on my list than just the quart size.
I didn’t even look at the Turboblaze when I was shopping, so this is actually really helpful. The quieter DC motor makes a lot of sense — noise is one of those things you don’t fully appreciate until you’re using it daily. Good point about the presets too. I tend to think of them as mostly marketing, but I hadn’t considered that changing fan speed (like on bake) could actually be useful depending on what you’re cooking. Do you find the larger basket makes a noticeable difference for everyday cooking, or only when you’re cooking for more than one person?
That makes sense. I’m cooking mostly for 1 (sometimes 2), and I already feel the “wish it was just a bit bigger” moment even with smaller batches. Sounds like basket size is one of those things where you rarely regret going slightly bigger. Good to know about the rack too. I’ve looked at those but always wondered how practical they really are in real life, especially when you need to shake or flip food. One layer on the grill plate seems way less annoying for everyday cooking.
Cosori 5 qt pro LE. It has smaller width/length than 4 qt models because of its basket design. You get more surface area for cooking with less counter space. Heats fast, and quiet. Use parchment paper to keep cleaning to a minimum If counter space is a premium, then look at the dimensions and not the quart/liter capacity.
I spent a lot of time studying the basket cooking surface area vs air fryer footprint before buying my Cosori Pro LE. I can say that I found no other air fryer that offered as much surface area in the basket vs the counter top foot print. Sure you can buy AF’s with bigger baskets, but it will take up a bigger footprint. I never trust the photos. I check dimensions (I even made a spreadsheet comparing the models!) Regarding noise, this is my third Air Fryer (one was recalled) and this one id by far the quietest. My previous models were much louder. I am like you, I only use the preheat setting and then the manual setting for cooking. I do like that it goes to 450°. I use parchment paper which makes cleaning even easier.
I need to clear up my comment. I previously had a Cosori Pro LE and upgraded to a Cosori Turboblaze 6 qt. The Turboblaze 6 qt is much quieter than the LE. And the 6 quart has about 25% more surface area for cooking. I did the upgrade because the surface area was somewhat constraining. The Turboblaze footprint is only marginally larger than the LE Pro because of the basket design I live alone. If you are cooking a food that needs to be spread out, surface area is your limitation. For example, fries need to be spread out and you really can not cook more than one serving at a time and not have soggy fries. But you can easily get 3 chicken thighs in. I can do two salmon fillets which is enough for two. I like to do chicken fajitas in the air fryer, but it is only big enough for one portion without piling the food up.
Big fan of my Cosori, my mom and SIL love their ninjas. Personally I'd avoid instant pot. Don't know much about the other brands.
COSORI Air Fryer Pro, Compact 5QT
I have cosori. They have really good customer support. The presets are not accurate tho. The comes out over cooked or under cooked with presets, so I have fine tuned my own time and temp with trial and error.
Yes, got it from Amazon. Quality is top notch. Heats up quickly, cooks well. Only thing I noticed is presets are useless. If I cook chicken with presets then it turns out overcooked. You will have to design your own configuration with trial and error what temperature and time for what food suits your style of cooking.
It does have a teflon coating but I dont bother with it. I have bought a round steel plate which I keep inside because its much easier to clean. Also sometimes I use aluminium foil for cooking. I dont keep food directly in the basket. Its too much hassle to wash for me.
I'm an old fogey. I cook for my wife and myself. I have a 5qt Cosori. It's plenty big for us. I will AF burgers, baked potatoes, Grands package biscuits (4 at a time X 2), a couple of chicken breasts. It isn't big enough to cook both the chicken breasts and potatoes. I chose the Cosori that I did because it fit nicely on the counter.
I have the same air fryer and I love it but I feel like I only do frozen items in it. Would you mind sharing your steps/time/temp/recipe for doing chicken breasts?
Cosori is definitely the best
Just call cosori and see how they respond to your query regarding it. I always do that before ordering. Many companies I ignore when their support is inactive from Day 1 Cosori has better airfryer normally than Philips, even I'll get on
We have Cosori 4.7L air fryer for about a year now, and it’s been solid. The square basket gives you more usable space than the usual round ones, and it cooks evenly. It’s also dishwasher safe, which is a win. You’ll still get a bit of oily residue on the outside of the inner basket, but it’s minor and easy to wipe. One thing to watch out for: the handle screws can loosen over time. I read about it in reviews, so I check them every few weeks. I've only had to tighten them once, and we use it 3–4 times a week. Not perfect design-wise, but it doesn’t affect performance.
