I've had a Cosori for years now. Zero issues. Affordable. The version I have is (I think) a COSORI Pro Gen 2 and the whole inner basket pops out so it's easy to empty your fries or whatever onto a plate without spilling grease. And it makes it easy to wipe down after all is done.
Our family has 3 Brevilles (I'm not one of them, I'm cheap and have a Cosori 12 in 1 which I like too), and loves them. Easy to use, great capacity, not over-engineered.
There are two of us, we started with a 4qt, as we got to using it more and more we were quite happy when the Cosari recall upgraded us to a 5.8qt.my partner has been wanting a second one for a while to make it easier to cook two different things at once, but our kitchen wiring currently wouldn't support a second one.
I can't remember what the first one was. Something I found cheap or something. The next one was a 4qt Cosari - loved. Then they did the recall and replaced it with 5.8qt. Loved it more. Just recently upgraded to a Nuwave Brio 7qt. We live the size and how uts easier to clean than the Cosari (although the newer model cosari ceramic units would be equally as easy). But, beyond that we don't live it more than the Cosari. I'd recommend either with the understanding that presets aren't great on either, but I found the presets easier to use (and adjust) on the Cosari. The Nuwave has more presets but the process to access them and limits in adjusting them make me rate the Nuwave lower on that category.
I just purchased a Chefman TurboFry Touch Digital Air Fryer with Removable Basket Divider. It's 7.6 quarts, simple digital controls, and around $100! Got it because my 3 year old Cosori 5.6 decided to give up the ghost. No bells or whistles, but also no manual dials like my first air fryer.
The largest size you can affort and you can make room for on your counter top, is the one you should get. An airfryer cant get too large for use, but it really can get too small! If you can get a 6qt within that, you'll be golden for most things. Now consider what you think you will be cooking, because you can get taller ones or wider ones. The wider ones can have trouble fitting a whole chicken in the height, however, the taller ones can't cook as much at once - or at least it should be shaken more often - because it wil be in layers. There is also the question if you should a basket model or a toaster oven looking thing. Most people are happy with the basket, but they are different in what they can do. And then there is also the question if you think you will need an airfryer with two drawers or compartments, or just the one. No idea what to advice there. I have the Cosori 6qt, it's a wonderous beast, holds a lot and doesn't take up a whole lotta space, and in any case, easy to put away, as I do, because I have zero counter space for it. If you have no idea if you would like an airfryer or what you'd do with it, I'd say go large, at least 4.5qts, go drawer style, go for a brand with a name mentioned in these pages. You can't go wrong. If you ever will want to get rid of it, it is because you never use it, or because you use it constantly and now you know you will want to upgrade it. But don't skimp on a small no-name model, if you can avoid it. You will not have the full experience. A good airfryer can be used to cook real food of all sorts (except soups and curries, ofc) and you should do that.
For a family of 4 under £100, look at the **COSORI 6qt** or **Instant Vortex Plus 5.7L** – both are single drawer and big enough for a whole chicken or a batch of fries for 4 people. The COSORI runs a bit hotter and faster, great if you like things extra crispy. The Instant has an odor filter which is really nice if your kitchen is open to the living room – less smell from fish or wings. Both have dishwasher-safe baskets and presets so you don't have to guess temps. Just avoid the really cheap £40-50 ones on Amazon, they don't hold temperature well and the non-stick peels off fast. Cosori 6qt has been best performance for me I owed 4 different ones
I love my air fryers. I use them 5-6x a week for various things. But right now I’m using a 6qt Cosori and a smaller 3qt Brio. I really just want one really large double basket air fryer so I’m looking for recs. I’m inclined to go with the cosori 9qt, but I’m not sure it’s enough space? The 6qt is a great size but the 3qt is kinda small. Anyone have a large double basket fryer and do you love it or hate it?
It cooks so well, I just use it for everything I can. If I’m making my husband and I lunch, I use the air fryer before the stove. Air fried wings, brussel sprouts, battered fish, French fries, my kids pizza bagels etc. it does an excellent job cooking things and they are always so crispy and perfect. And it’s more convenient because it takes a couple minutes to preheat verse 10-15 for the oven. So I preheat a couple minutes then pop my stuff in and it cooks it way quicker than the oven.
I wonder if it’s because it’s a stacking dual cook? I’m looking at the cosori dual 9qt and it’s side by side and it looks by a couple reviews that they can cook together. I might try it just to test it out, and can always return it if it doesn’t. But definitely need them to cook together or there’s no point in trading in my two stand alones for dual model.
