In a similar situation as you are, I went with the Cosori Tower for preparing two components in parallel...or for having another drawer when one is still in the dishwasher.
If heating is uneven, maybe the device isn't too good?
I guess the more horizontal space you have, the more food you can put in without overlapping, making it cook more evenly or not requiring shaking. I read here that you should always go for the biggest one that fits your kitchen, and so far I don't regret it. A single portion of fries fits in perfectly in one of the drawers of my Cosori tower.
I did some YouTubing and settled on a Cosori Tower Pro and the picked it up for 220 euros.
Very happy with the deal, will get it during the week ap hope the machine is up to snuff!
