I just completed a similar inquiry. The main concern I found has to do with the non-stick coating of the basket flaking and and being ingested. Most of the coating are made of the same non-stick coating PFAS found on most cookware. The concern is that PFAS is everywhere including the human body and never goes away. Since it was flaking off that was an added concern. I was interested in Cuisinart 6 quart model and I found it being sold for $119 but then found it being sold for $30 more. Many sites said they were the same but others said they were not. What added to the confusion was that even Cuisinart told me they were 'functionality the same which was not a lie. What I found was that everything is the same EXCEPT that Cuisinart changed the coating of the basket from PFAS to ceramic like the newer cookware advertised on tv. From what I learned is that there are many PFAS model (Air200) and they're being discounted to get rid of the through Amazon. The new model is know as the AIr200NAS) and you can't buy that model on Amazon. The other thing that had me concerned was that many sellser were advertising the units using only (Air200) but charging for the newest model price. I finally just bought mine from Cuisinart as I knew that I was going to get it with a the ceramic coat::
You may want to check out the Air 200NAS 6 qt basket air fryer direct from Cuisinart. I found this one on Amazon but also found that that model is an AIR 200 NOT An AIR 200NAS. Though some research I found that the 200NAS is an updated model where the only difference is that the basket is ceramic coated and the older model is coated with regular cookware coating and most air fryers are just coated with regular coating. Right now the 200NAS is on a Black Friday sale. Six quart will probably meet your needs. https://www.cuisinart.com/6-qt-basket-air-fryer/AIR-200NAS.html
We have a similar situation we went with the large Cuisinart air fryer that can fit a whole frozen pizza in it. And we don't have a microwave or a toaster.
Dunno about this one but the Costco cuisinart version is freaking awesome. Looks similar actually. I make a lot of lechon and wings on it
I have only had it for a year so I cant say much about the longevity, but I have the stainless steel cusineart 1800w air fryer from Target. At the time it was on sale $99, a lot cheaper than similar ones from other brands. Seems like a decent device to me.
