I have a Cuisinart, which I love. It has toaster, bake, broil, convection and air fryer modes. It's generally been a champ. I'm not sure which model, but it has analog knobs rather than electronic controls, and I love that.
Cuisinart TOA-70. Combo oven. About as compact of a footprint for a toaster oven/air fryer/convection oven you can get. Can roast enough broccoli for a family of 4. Full analog controls. Love the performance.
It’s between the Breville Pro and the Cuisinart TOA-70NAS. We personally own the Cuisinart and it’s been a solid workhorse.
I was also considering these two when shopping for a new countertop oven and went with the Cuisineart because I prefer mechanical knobs to digital inputs which could be harder to repair in the long run. I wipe mine down with soapy water after each use to prevent build up of grease. So far so good but check with me in ~10 years and I'll let you know if it's "BIFL" worthy ;)
Ive had the same (or very similar) model Cuisinart to the one you posted for at least 3 years now, and it's been fast! But there's only so much you can clean something that you can't completely disassemble. I did see that they have a replacement crumb tray on their site, though. Adding aluminum foil to the tray under the basket and lining the crumb tray might help prolong it's aesthetic life, but it seems like a losing battle. I've tried taking some buildup off the door with everything from barkeepers friend to mr clean magic erasers and it's not worth the elbow grease. I WILL say I enjoy all the various features -- great for warming things up or making small batches rather than using my large oven. And the average frozen pizza fits just fine.. I'd say Cuisinart just because of the savings alone.
You are going to have to decide if you want a toaster oven/air fryer combo or a stand-alone air fryer. I have the Cuisinart TOA-70 and it is extremely hard to clean. It works perfectly for toasting and baking. The air frying works well, but the splatter from frying gets all over the heating elements and top/sides of the unit. It seems, based upon reviews, the stand-alone, basket/drawer style air fryers are easier to clean.
I only have one I wouldnt recommend, the cuisinart toa 70. Its had an electrical fume from when I first got it, I tried the grill feature once and there was so much smoke it was crazy, and it smells burnt everytime it's on even though I've kept it super clean. I'm in the last days of the return window and I'm sending back Looking for another because I like the idea but reviews are so mixed
I had a Cuisinart for 2 years before it stopped working. Have a Breville on my wish list.
