I have a GoWise oven style that I love. I cook so many things in it. Chicken wings, crab cakes, hamachi kama and pork belly are favorites. Great for leftovers. I also use it for cheese toast and for bread brushed on both sides with garlic olive oil for bruschetta. I also use it often instead of my oven for small things. I just convert the oven time and temp.

I have both. You have to adjust the times a bit eg my gowise top rack requires me to reduce time. Cleaning is a bit easier for the traditional type

I use a big GoWise all the time, for years, and it’s not peeling anywhere. I mostly use put food on the uncoated steel racks that came with it, so the food isn’t touching non stick surfaces

I pan sear Prime steaks in hot peanut oil for about three minutes and finish them on a dehydrator rack in about 3 to 5 minutes. They come out perfect! I bought two big Prime ribeyes for $80 recently. The food i put in the fryer costs more than the fryer itself. I served giant baked potatoes from our fancy Jennair oven last week and my wife asked ‘what’s wrong with these potatoes?’ because they weren’t from the fryer. I would buy my third GoWise if my current one gave out. Instead of scrubbing it you can fill it with hot water add a bit of dishwasher detergent powder to the bin, put it on fry and it will clean itself without scrubbing off the finish

We registered for the GOwise USA air fryer for our wedding 5 years ago based on ATK Best Buy recommendation. It’s been great, definitely had its flaws (couldn’t change the run time once started) but it worked for us. After a basket replacement last year, we thought it would last a while longer. But shortly after we did that, the LED screen went out. It still worked but you had to remember where the buttons were and how many times you pressed them. Within the month it totally janked/glitched out. It didn’t recognize whether the drawer was open or closed causing it to keep running without a drawer and not run when the drawer was in. Then just complete failure of the control panel. It was a good run. Pushed to the brink. Has anyone had an air fryer for longer than 5 years that’s still working great? Or is that the expected lifespan of small appliances these days?
