I have the air fryer lid that I don't think they sell separately any longer, but I love it and use it so much. Super handy and works really well. If I needed to replace my 6-qt IP, I would probably buy the 6-qt Duocrisp (it's just two of us).
I have the 6 quart duo crisp. I use it as a regular instant pot and never as an air fryer. It is more convenient to have my separate Ninja air fryer. The second lid with air fryer accessories mean you don't save counter/cabinet space and the inner space for air frying in it is too small. A basket-style air fryer is easier to use too.
I got one as a wedding gift. It’s really nice since I wouldn’t have room for both an air fryer and slow cooker and instant pot. My husband loves it.
I use my Duo at least twice weekly, but probably use the air fryer part one time a month. As others have mentioned, the size and shape limit its usage as an air fryer — especially if you have something that should cook only in one layer.
I have the Instant Pot Duo Crisp 11-in-1 that has both airfryer and slow cooler plus a pressure cooker. Works well, doesn't take too much space
Had one got rid of it too big too cumbersome too much counter space and air fryer part wasn’t that great
Instant pot + airfry combo. Been solid. Two+ different types of cooking. One device.
We're a 4 person family and I cook a lot. With an instant pot and airfryer combo I hardly use the oven. I only use the oven if I'm baking and that's because I don't really want to make smaller desserts.
Ah yes, I remember running into that issue with fries. That is a limiting factor. Actually it wasn't even enough for just two fry crazy family members (me being one of them). I use a instant pot Duo, so it's a regular instant pot with a lid to cinder convert into an air fryer. It's definitely smaller and not oven shaped or basket shaped like a dedicated air fryer. Even with that limitation, I can roast 1-2 lbs of green beans at once, since they aren't as fussy as French fries. Or roast 2-3 cubed sweet potatoes similarly. It does take working in stages, if I want a meat too. Something like pulled pork or ribs takes an hour anyway (pressure cook before air fry crisping) so I need to do that earlier or on another day. Then I have pounds of bbq for future meals, because I agree with you, I'm not much for full meal cooking every day. Steelhead trout/salmon I can cook 3-4 servings so quickly in the air fryer, I don't mind running it twice to cook everything and have leftovers for the next day.
