It works fine. Not a lot of capacity because of it being a 6qt IP. We used it to make nuggets, etc for our kids.

Check your head room! I was going to buy a Ninja but realised at the last minute that the lid stands up at 90-degrees when open and wouldn't fit on our counter top. The same would go for the Instant Pot Ultimate I think. The Duo with removable Air Fryer lid fits with just enough room to comfortably take the lid on and off.

I was going to get a Ninja, but realized at the last moment that the open lid wouldn’t fit on our counter top, so I went with the Duo Crisp instead. I don’t Air Fry much, but when I do I often end up using some of the custom inserts (racks, silicone trays) that you can buy anywhere these days - whatever seems to work best for what I’m making.

I've got the Instant Pot Duo Crisp with air fryer lid. It works well enough for each job, but I've found that I very often wish I had separate appliances to use at the same time. It doesn't save much kitchen space, because you still have to store whichever bulky lid you're not using. As an air fryer, it's small and not as easy to handle as a drawer type fryer. As a pressure cooker, it's excellent. No complaints there. But in the last few years the Instant Pot brand is enshittified (see recent posts on this subreddit). If buying now, I'd look for an electric pressure cooker from another brand, and a separate air fryer.  Use case: Enthusiastic home cook, usually making 4 portions from fresh ingredients.

I thought the same. I don’t have anything Ninja but when I was looking at the Ninja Foodie and the Instant Pot Duo Crisp I was sure both were safe. Ended up with the Instant Pot (which I’m glad of now as I’m also in the UK!)

I have an Instant Pot Duo Crisp, which is technically both (and then some), but not the best rice cooker OR the best air fryer either - as in, does the job but could be better. But i like the pressure cooker part - quickest way to make beans, stews, soup (i often make bone broth, it's done in 4 hrs instead of 12), etc. However, there are apparently problems with the brand, so it's not a recommendation. But if you're interested in checking it out, Ninja has the Foodi multicookers, it's similar.

I dont know this specific brand but oven airfryers are alright. If you need it because of space it’s fine. The main issue with specifically airfrying is that theres a TON of extra air space then a normal airfryer. So it takes longer and doesnt cook as evenly. I love my instant pot duo air fryer, I would suggest that instead. They make an oven type airfyer though. But i have one of these types at work and it’s pretty nice for reheating food.

Ah! Okay, that makes sense. I rarely check video reviews when deciding between models. I generally check multiple retailers written reviews - the one and five stars. As for shaking, they're all going to recommend that for even cooking. I think a gentle wiggle would work for spring rolls. I would probably manually turn them, myself. Commercially manufactured tater tots can take an enthusiastic shake. FWIW, I don't always shake or turn stuff - especially in the IP duo crisp because the little separator tray thingy is inconvenient, and everything still comes out lovely. I kind of regret the duo crisp. I have the counter space for two appliances, but I figured this would be good enough as it's just my husband and I most of the time. I've also got an air fry feature on my microwave/convection oven that gets as much of a workout as the counter top. (Of course an air fryer is essentially a convection cooker, but the feature is a one-button option for time and temperature that's pretty spot on.)

[Instant Pot](https://s.shopee.ph/AUislZZh2b). We bought the older version ng Air Fryer nila sa Mall 3 years ago and hanggang ngayon nagagamit pa rin namin. But wipes lang pinanglilinis namin. And upon checking is diyan din sa Vortex Plus. Affiliate link posted. https://preview.redd.it/t0liy6ja6ubf1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2a70acbae0863fe28a1576a70ddaec1bd61fb2bb

You could get a very fancy rice cooker for several hundred. Goodwill is full of basic ones that just click on. I've cooked curry in these ones. It shuts off automatically. I'd recommend one of these and if you really want to invest in something better after using a goodwill one after awhile you. For more rice cooker recipes there's a reddit community too. For an airfryer I like the Instant brand. I think mine is 6 quart and I can get a pound of chicken in there. I love it and cook a lot in it. It doesn't heat my house up the way the oven does.
