"the window extremely helpful for keeping an eye on food that you don't have a actual air fryer recipe for ... that window allows me to look at the progress without opening it up over and over again"

"So far I’ve only needed to wipe it down for it to look good as new"

I did that and it still stinks 😂 I just use it for reheating food now since I don't have a microwave lol the taste is less noticeable though"

I was looking at this one too, the design really looks ideal, but the heat comes from behind, which I didn't like. Fist off is to ask yourself if you really require dual basket or not. If not I'd suggest a 6qt basket design like the Instant Pot Vortex 6qt with Odor Ease, this is hands down the best designed, most feature packed air fryer right now at that size and price point. They have a dual basket model as well. If you prefer a ceramic fryer, check out the Corsori TurboBlaze. It lacks some features compared to the Vortex, but is also excellent. I have tried Ninja air fryers before and was not impressed with the features and build quality.

Just bought this to replace my Instant Vortex. I was looking for a ceramic basket fryer and this looked to be the best one I found, especially for the price. I haven't used it enough yet to really evaluate, but so far it seems great, and also looks good on my countertop. It's very compact for it's capacity. I few things I miss from my Vortex is the shake/flip alert, which is such an easy thing to include that I don't know why all fryers don't have this. The other thing I miss from my vortex is the knob, which makes it so much faster to dial in the temp/time. I'm still debating whether I miss the window or not. It's sometimes useful, but not sure if it's really a crucial feature. But otherwise it's a great air fryer.

Yes, or the upgrade version with a clear window and "odor erase" filter, which I have and love.

We got ours from a relative who couldn't get rid of the smell. After a few cycles at 400° the odor went away for us. But I think some folks are more sensitive to the plastic smell than others.

Americas Test Kitchen recommends: **Instant Vortex Plus 6-Quart Air Fryer** **Instant Vortex Plus ClearCook + OdorErase 6-Quart** Consumer Reports ratings: Dash Tasti-Crisp DCAF260 rated 2 points higher than those below with same rating: Instant Vortex Plus 140-3079-01 Tabitha Brown for Target 8 Qt. Digital Chefman Accufry RJ38-SQPF-5T2P-W Instant Vortex Plus 140-3089-01 Cosori Dual Blaze CAF-P583S-KUS Smart Cosori Lite CAF-LI211 I have the **Instant Vortex Plus ClearCook + OdorErase 6-Quart** which I really like. The grease filters pick up a lot of grease although you can still smell some odor while cooking. Since the basket and tray are non-stick they eventually wear out as do all non-stick surfaces. Ironically Instant Brands was so successful that it went bankrupt. Turns out their products were so popular that everyone had one so sales dropped. They have been purchased by **Centre Lane Partners**.

America Test Kitchen made a review. They recommended the instant vortex clear 6 liter. I bought one and also recommend, but it's my first so i have no comparison.

Thanks I went to Aldi, Kmart, Target, JB Hi-Fi, Spotlight and The Good Guys yesterday. Checked out at least 10 different brands and models. But ended up buying an Instant Pot Vortex Plus ClearCook model from Myer after reading deals on Ozbargain.

I bought the Vortex clear 6qt Instant Pot about two months ago, and it is significantly better than the 5 year old Cosori it replaces, it cooks more evenly it is much quieter and the window is actually useful for keeping an eye on my food, I highly recommend it.

I purchased the same Vortex Plus with front window from a thrift store with the "Close Basket" error. The only solution for me was to open the unit and replace the micro switch.  When you close the door, a cone shaped extension, visible on the top front center housing, gets pushed up to the micro switch.  If the micro switch is faulty, you'll always get the "Close Basket" error.  This used unit has been working for close to 2 years.

I know Instant Pot people troll and monitor this subreddit, so I expect to get botted to hell and back as well as attacked for this. That being said, I ordered the Instant Pot Vortex with Window due to the America's Test Kitchen recommendation and people here saying it is good due to that review. I had it for 2 years almost. In that time, the light for the window died, and the LED display also died. Luckily, Amazon let me get my money back. That being said, these defects weren't showstoppers, and it didn't fully die ever. Great right? Well, after the second death I got my money back and got a Ninja Foodi FlexDrawer. I have to say, having now used it for 1 month, using the Instant Pot was like living in the dark ages. Food comes out crispier faster. Max Crisp 240 C is a game changer. My wings went from mid and barely decent to as good as oil fried. I am truly amazed at how much better it is and wanna spread the gospel to avoid the Instant Pot one. To prove I am not a bot or have an agenda benefitting either company, I will say the Instant Pot itself is hands down the best electric pressure cooker system in existence, and I'd fully recommend you buy that over any other one. Also on the flipside, I'd say Ninja devices aren't always amazing because I had their blender / food processor combo and that thing died from normal use after 1.5 years. If you have trouble deciding on your Air Fryer go for any of the Max Crisp Ninja ones. It's a game changer truly. Will post pictures of my wings next time I make them.
