"Probably better options if you only want the air fry option"
"Lids that combine air frying and pressure cooking is just a gimmicky mess ... Turns out it's much better to keep things separate haha. ... But there's a reason Ninja silently discontinued its air fryer/pressure cookers with the combo lid."

"Lids that combine air frying and pressure cooking is just a gimmicky mess that is nigh impossible to clean properly ... the heating element of the air fryer will absolutely rust after being exposed to the humidity of pressure cooking. ... The lid is not detachable and it is impossible to get access to the safety valve (the thing that pops up when pressurized) to clean it properly without taking the lid apart, including the fan. ... The burner element of the air fryer rusts after a single instance of pressure cooking. If you run your finger or a paper towel along it, you should see significant dark smearing. ... The lid itself doesn't rust, but the burner element absolutely does, and there's no doubt that it'll leech into whatever you're pressure cooking as the water continuously drips down from there."

"My lid now leaks steam while pressure cooking, and while it can still come up to pressure, it is obviously not optimal."
Get a 2 draw it just gives you way more options and there's no downside. I've got a ninja XXL and love it, I saw they just released a new model where the draws are stacked instead of side by side so it takes up less space, could be a good option.
r/newzealand • Airfryer for one or two... ->I have the Ninja 8qt pressure cooker/air fryer with the combination lid. Would not recommend. Lids that combine air frying and pressure cooking is just a gimmicky mess that is nigh impossible to clean properly, and the heating element of the air fryer will absolutely rust after being exposed to the humidity of pressure cooking. My lid now leaks steam while pressure cooking, and while it can still come up to pressure, it is obviously not optimal. I would go with the IP 8qt with two lids. Yeah two lids are kinda annoying to store, but it is far less annoying than having to deal with a combination lid. 8qt also expands your options quite a bit compared to 6.5qt and is especially useful when making use of the air frying function, where space is important.
r/instantpot • Which pressure cooker + air fryer combo should I get? ->I have the ninja foodi pot and I love it. Can’t beat a great air fryer and a pressure cooker in one, plus all the other features. They discontinued them but places like Walmart still have some. I’ve used mine at least once a day if not 2 or 3 for 4 years. I love it so much I bought a backup last week, I don’t want to not have it.
r/airfryer • Looking for recommendations on a new air fryer. ->I have the same one, since ninja discontinued anything with a pressure option, I bought a second as a backup. I use it everyday. Counldnt recommend it more.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Our oven went out at the beginning of covid so I got one to make it through until we could get a new one. It was over a year until we got one. I've hardly used it as I use the ninja every day. It's just hubs and I also, kids are grown. It's just so convenient. I can cook a roast from froze in an hour, or throw in some muffins for 10 minutes without heating up the house. Pork steaks are so good air fried, and hubs does have to start the grill. Walmart still has some, but they aren't as heavy duty as my old one. Amazon has a few in the renewed section too. That's where I got my first one.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Walmart still has the ninja foodi/pressure cooker combo. They’ve been discontinued but it’s still a solid device. We’ve cook in it everyday, multiple times a day, for 4 years. I have two other ninja air fryers and the combo is still my go to and most used. I bought a second one today as a backup since they’re not going to make them anymore, I don’t want to be without it. I did pick up the stainless steel replacement bowl a while ago (not oem) and I like it more than the original bowl.
r/airfryer • Best Air Fryer to Buy Right Now Cometh the 2025? ->Family of 4, and I have a ninja foodi 9 in 1... Basically looks like a large toaster oven. Our boss bought one for the staff lunch room, and I was sold the day a coworker baked a frozen pie for us. The size and shape make it really versatile. We often throw hash brown patties or several slices of toast in it; we use it for fries or onion rings multiple times a week, and have also used it for roasting potatoes, asparagus, and more. I haven't tried the dehydrate setting yet but everything I have tried, it works.
r/airfryer • HELP- what is the best air fryer for a family of 4? ->We have the Ninja Foodi 9 in 1 that looks almost like a pizza oven and then folds up vertically to open up counter space. I love it. It fits a frozen pizza nicely. Ours is probably 2 years old, and we use it at least weekly, if not more often. I think they consider the new version of it as part of their "oven" line-up. It definitely has replaced us using our oven for small batches, especially with the fact that it heats up so fast because it's not huge.
r/BuyItForLife • Non-toxic air fryer, recommendations? Please share your favorites ->Yes. Yes. I have a ninja foodi 8 qt pressure cooker/air fryer. Very versatile but if you want one for sheet pan meals that are large go for a toaster oven style one from whatever company ☺️
r/Cooking • Do you have an air fryer? Should I get one? ->yeah this don't go cheap as you will inevitably replace it when it breaks in 9 months. the foodi is good quality and you will find yourself using the other functions
r/AussieFrugal • Airfryer oven/ toaster oven single person ->If you’re in North America, there are air fryers that purport to run multiple baskets at the same time (ie: Ninja Dual). Our home power supply will not run both baskets at the same time at full heat; the user’s guide says you have to allow almost double the time if you want to use both baskets at once as the temperature won’t reach full heat. Evidently they do work at full speed in the UK. That being said… I also have a Ninja Foodi multicooker that does the whole slow cooker/pressure cooker/ air fryer thing in one unit. I’ve had four or five air fryers and that’s the one I’ve used the most because the multiple functions are useful for me. For just a dedicated air fryer, make sure it has enough physical space to cook the amount and kind of food you want. For example, french fries are best cooked in one layer. Many air fryers are not sized to cook enough fries to feed four people. Whichever air fryer you choose, you’ll need to peek in and toss/shake/shift your food two or three times during the cooking to get everything to cook evenly, so ensure it’s a convenient size, weight etc.
r/airfryer • Feature recommendations? ->I recently upgraded air fryers from my old trusty ninja foodi (the pressure cooker combo) to a Instant Pot Vortex XL with the dual basket. its opened up a bunch in terms of useability & ease of use. However to do again I would of gone for the Foodi with the Flex Basket. Id give up the extra quart of capacity to get the flexability of that big basket for when I am doign something that doesnt fit well in the smaller side by side baskets.
r/airfryer • Best Air Fryer to Buy Right Now Cometh the 2025? ->I love mine and use it daily. I even bought a ninja combi because I wanted more options lol. I like the ninja foodi because it's also a pressure cooker, and makes perfect rice and hard boiled eggs. I use it for bagels/waffles/toast daily, and usually reheat things in it. If you make frozen foods like fries and chicken nugs, it's good for that, and if you like roasted veggies, it's perfect for that too. My oven has an air fry function, but it doesn't work as well as a standalone one.
r/Parenting • Is an air fryer worth it? ->Sadly I can't say I had the same experience with the Ninja Foodi (first one broke after two years, the second one not even one year). I really liked the air fryer pressure cooker combo but yeah, can\`t say I\`m too happy with the quality build (the cable going from the board to the lid through the hinge is a known failure point now).
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Ninja with a pressure cooker, so does all round
r/Cooking • Do you have an air fryer? Should I get one? ->We have a Ninja pressure cooker/air fryer combo. It works great.
r/Appliances • Best non toxic air fryer ->We got a Ninja Foodi because it is an air fryer and pressure cooker. Probably better options if you only want the air fry option
r/Cooking • What is the best air fryer ? ->We bought a ninja foodie back before they were a trend. Still use it weekly. It doubles as a pressure cooker so can braise and cook brisket, casseroles, crispy chicken, etc.
r/newzealand • Airfryer for one or two... ->Ninja air fryer with pressure cooker could replace my entire kitchen and I’d be fine with it
r/Cooking • Do you have an air fryer? Should I get one? ->As a single dude who lived in an apartment the air fryer was literally a game changer. If you want to minimize counter space in I’d recommend one the expensive yet versatile ones. my mom gave me a ninja foodie for Christmas that does air frying pressure cooking and slow cooking. The thing slaps. I air fried all my meat as it creates no smoke and the smell is minimal. The clean up is super easy
r/Cooking • Air Fryer Advice ->Hi, I use an air fryer/pressure cooker combo unit and make everything with it, except toast. I still use a cheap two slice toaster I got somewhere(I can’t remember) but it was cheap and get’s the job done, perfectly. I personally do not like those rack air fryers, I will never give up my ninja foodi as long as spare parts exist, since they do not make it anymore! Tl; dr - get the toaster!
r/Cooking • Is an airfryer just not for me ->Don't think you can make a stew in one unless you get the ninja all in one pressure cooker air fryer, but it's great for roasting bones before you put them in a pressure cooker.
r/ketouk • Any ketoers use Air fryers? ->I have a Ninja foodie which is an air fryer plus insta pot. It's a great space saver. While we don't use either option often, it's nice to have when we do want to use it
r/Cooking • Air Fryer Advice ->Yeah I got a ninja that's the pressure cooker/air fryer 2 in 1 machine and I love it. It air frys really well and the pressure cooker is better than I thought it would be. I use it quite a bit. You just have to preheat it for the air fryer but it only takes a few minutes. It's very consistent so you get a good feel for how long you need to heat stuff
r/airfryer • Best air-fryer that cooks food according to directions ->I shake in this one too. It's a little on the smaller side so I only do about 8 wings at a time. I usually flip about half way through and do some shaking towards the end.
r/Wings • Should I get an Air Fryer or an Oven for cooking wings? ->I have the Ninja XL and love it, however, you might want to consider just buying one you like with an extended warranty. Normally I avoid those like the plague but they make sense for something like this. Get a 4 year warranty on a $150 AF, knowing with high usage you will cash in.
r/airfryer • Air fryer is slowly dying ->I love my ninja XL or whatever it is.
r/airfryer • My old airfryer has bitten the dust so time for a new one. I'm seeing things like '4-in-1' (Ninja) to '13-in-1' (Phillips) cooking options..... what difference do these really do? ->I have a Cosori toaster oven style air fryer (some of my kids are all bougie and have Breville and the other a Ninja). All are terrific because they can all make a frozen pizza to perfection. Yes, longer pre-heat compared to a basket...by maybe a minute. My kid with the Ninja XL can make a full dinner with sides all at once for her and her husband, so that versatility is off the charts. I find with the mesh basket tray on my Cosori that I don't have to flip foods and they're much easier to space out to allow the circulation that is the science behind why an air fryer works.
r/airfryer • Air fryer vs Toaster Oven Air Fryer ->I have the toaster oven style. Got the Ninja Flip one, loved it! Then I got the Ninja XL, love it even more! The Flip takes a bigger tray, but the XL takes two smaller trays. Flip would be great for a single person, the XL is great for my partner and I. I can't imagine trying to cook in one of those tiny basket type. They were never an option for me.
r/Cooking • Do you have an air fryer? Should I get one? ->Great wings come out of my Ninja XL. I like being able to shake the basket.
r/Wings • Should I get an Air Fryer or an Oven for cooking wings? ->Concur on ninja x in 1s. Toasts, air fries, bakes - the other "features" are kind of superfluous but the effect is the same. Also, mine folds up to the wall so it takes up a lot less counter space when not in use
r/Frugal • Looking for recommendations - toaster oven air fryer combo ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
