I have the Ninja 6 in 1 pro. It's the only one I've ever owned so I can't compare it to any other air fryer. It's easy, though I've not figured out how to correctly bake cookies in it. You do have to preheat it. I preheat for 4 minutes. It works great for frozen chicken tenders and fries. I use parchment paper bought from Amazon. You have to be careful with it. Never preheat with the parchment paper inside. You have to weigh the parchment paper down with food. The air fryer uses a lot of blowing air, and if the paper isn't weighed down right, the paper might blow around and touch the heating element. And that will start a fire. So I always check my food about a minute in to make sure it's still holding the paper down. I never leave the air fryer unattended when I'm using it with parchment paper. If I smell paper burning, I'll stop it and check it. Anyway, I'm happy with the air fryer. I'm barely using my oven anymore and that's saved some money on my gas bill.
Some personal feedback on this as I spent the last week picking an air fryer. Size of the fryer was a big factor in our search. First I bought the Ninja Pro XL 6 in 1. I liked that it would get to 450 degrees. We ended up returning it because it was so loud it sounded like a plane taking off. Second we got the Instant Pot, due to the positive online and Americas Test Kitchen reviews from a few years ago. We got the updated version with the window. That one got returned because one, it smelled absolutely awful when heated. Second, the bottom plate would pop up and sit at an angle as soon as it started to warm up. This is a safety issue because it would fly out when trying to dump out hot food. After looking back at the "positive" reviews, I realized they are almost all incentivized. Third and final one we got is the Ninja Foodi 8qt two basket fryer. So far so good. It's still kind of noisy, but it's tolerable. The dual basket is a nice option. Also even though it's dual, the dimensions are still surprisingly compact. It's slightly wider than a single basket model, but it wasn't any deeper. We also considered a Midea because Sam's has some, but they are huge.
I have a Ninja that's got Super-Crisp (450F) technology.
I have the the plus model. First time cooking, using an air fryer and I love it,and as stated easy to clean. Crisp s very good and temperature goes to 450
Make sure you get a decent fan to blow at your fire detector while you use the air fryer. And have the air fryer backside pointing towards an open window. I really like the Ninja pro XL 5 quart. ($79) Super easy to use and clean. And extra insert trays are available on Amazon for like nine bucks, for when yours gets too hard to clean. Don't worry about using liners or anything like that. Just make sure you invest in a good avocado oil spray. If you or your parents have a Costco membership, they've got large avocado sprays in a two pack for a pretty good price.
Honestly the combo units (Instant Pot with air fry, Ninja Foodi Grill) are a compromise on both sides , they're not great pressure cookers AND they're not great air fryers. If you mostly want to air fry, get a dedicated basket model. The Ninja Foodi Dual Zone is a great choice, two independent baskets mean you can cook protein and veggies simultaneously at different temps, which is brilliant for actual weeknight cooking. Around $182 AUD on Amazon. If you want something smaller and simpler, the Ninja Air Fryer Pro is also excellent at $168 AUD. YES!!! Best air fryer out there no preheating necessary, highest wattage, fucking dishwasher safe! I got the pro model with a stand. Absolutely awesome!
Bought it and returned it. Not a fan. They have a professional model or some name of the sort, but the price isnt worth it. (To me)
