"My only complaint is that the door swings closed a little bit each time you open it so you’d have to wear full hand oven mitts and be careful with your left hand to not get burned."
I’m sighted but my husband is blind so I often think about how he could use things we have around the house if needed. We have a ninja combicooker. It has physical buttons, starts at the same temperature each time you turn it on and the temperature button is + or - 5 degrees from 390 each time. Time button goes + or - by 1 minute starting at 20. You could leave it on air fry mode and pretty easily figure out how many times to push the button to get the right setting. There are easily felt racks for the air fryer tray that are tactile and would be easy to use without vision putting things in the cold oven. My only complaint is that the door swings closed a little bit each time you open it so you’d have to wear full hand oven mitts and be careful with your left hand to not get burned.
I’ve used that ninja dual in a rental I had for a few months, I wasn’t a fan of how it cooked compared to my ninja combi. I really missed the combi meal function where you can just put rice, meat, and veg in it and hit go and have dinner in 20 minutes without much effort. The rice it makes is not as good as a rice cooker, but not bad. And I missed the combo of steam, convection, and broil cooking for making perfectly cooked salmon with basically no effort too.
Just got a Ninja Combi 14 in 1 as I don’t have an oven. Combi ovens are amazing and are used widely in commercial cooking. Basically they use water to steam as well as bake and that’s what this little device does. It is really power efficient and a lot of Americans are installing them in RVs.
It was designed off commercial grade multi ovens. But it’s not big. You can cook 4 cups of rice at once with probably with 4-6 chicken breasts. All made in 15 minutes. It’s crazy. Best thing I’ve ever used. I use it everyday.
Yes, it has a bit of a learning curve. Combi crisp is used for veggies. I make a lot of vegetarian meals in it as well. But if you do combi cook or whatever, it uses the steam from the rice or pasta to cook the chicken. They come perfectly juicy. What I do is throw the vegetables in with the rice and some turmeric and seasonings. Rice comes out yellow and veggies are perfectly cooked. I use the pan to air fry anything really. I work from home and not joking I use this thing every single day. It’s incredible. You can just throw pasta sauce in there with the pasta and the pasta comes out perfect everytime.
Ninja combi is the best thing ever. People need to get away from air fryers and get into combi oven. Even as one person. You can make full blown meals in 15 minutes. Perfect for meal prepping. Also for air fyers, I hate the hard to clean grate things that all air fryers have, the combi has a pan and I just throw everything in there and can easily air fry. It’s really the best thing I’ve ever owned.
Yes!!! Get an all in one ninja pot that does pressure cooking air frying slow cooking etc It makes cooking soooo much easier
Yeah since limiting to using points the oven like product from ninja i can get would be the ninja combination 14 in 1. Has pizza option but again is it big enough and also want it to be able to cook wings good. Its just airfryers seem good as an all rounder as u. can shake fries, wings etc in basket.. I think if I have to and maybe a good thing finance wise long term is just cook half a large pizza if I can't do a whole. Thanks tho for the suggestion im looking at reviews and the ninja combi maybe worth a consideration at least. It comes with a proper pizza tray...and does chips etc as good as air fryers. .. its just a bit large (well yeah it fits a large pizza), but apparently gets hot a bit underneath unlike airfryers. As I rent I have to be mindful I don't damage the benchtop. Airfryers seem to be raised so let air vebtilate underneath it.
I have a Ninja Foodi 14 in 1 and I LOVE IT! It has an air fryer, slow cooker, pressure cooker, food dehydrator etc! Edit: the one I have has 2 lids, and air fryer basket too.
Thinks the exact one I have! I’ve been using these since like 2017, I think? It’s been a long time! I upgraded to the all in one in 2020 and I can’t imagine my life without it. My daughter keeps her 6 qt in her kitchen cabinet, but my cabinets are totally small because I have the 8qt one. It does take up some space, but it’s my most used kitchen item - I use it more than my oven/stove! Edit: Have to mention: since I got this machine, I’ve made our family’s thanksgiving turkey in it every year and it’s a HIT!
Sadly I can't say I had the same experience with the Ninja Foodi (first one broke after two years, the second one not even one year). I really liked the air fryer pressure cooker combo but yeah, can\`t say I\`m too happy with the quality build (the cable going from the board to the lid through the hinge is a known failure point now).
Ninja with a pressure cooker, so does all round
We have a Ninja pressure cooker/air fryer combo. It works great.
