Wife and I started with the Gourmia from Costco, but needed a bigger one and got the ninja with the clear window and light inside. We like the ninja more for sure. Seems to cook better and we (with multiple kids) prefer the bigger model.

I have had a Ninja SP201 for three years and have had no problem with the glass. I will say that I just bought a small basket-type air fryer because I find that the air fryer function on the Ninja is not really as good as a basket-type model, and I really find myself using it more as an oven and broiler. The max temp on it is 450° for all functions, so I don’t think there is a temperature difference in the way I use it, and I basically use it in place of my actual oven, so it get a lot of use. I just make sure it has totally cooled before flipping it up.

Honestly the combo units (Instant Pot with air fry, Ninja Foodi Grill) are a compromise on both sides , they're not great pressure cookers AND they're not great air fryers. If you mostly want to air fry, get a dedicated basket model. The Ninja Foodi Dual Zone is a great choice, two independent baskets mean you can cook protein and veggies simultaneously at different temps, which is brilliant for actual weeknight cooking. Around $182 AUD on Amazon. If you want something smaller and simpler, the Ninja Air Fryer Pro is also excellent at $168 AUD. I like the pro model better. My mom got one of these from costco and the lack of precise temp control drove me crazy. Its useful though and after using it for a few months I upgraded to the pro when my dual basket finally died. The pro model is less portable but: - has a deeper basket so you can cook more stuff - a physical dial to control temp (+/-5 degrees) and time which helps with the button mashing - a stand which makes it a bit harder to clean the top but im not constantly trying to put the top down anyway - comes with a light so you can see whats happening inside Beware your toast will be flying in circles and its really weird to watch. Super worth it though! Being able to see inside helps a lot with making things turn out right. My mom and sister are both satisfied with the standard version.

If yours is the type of family that uses gadgets like the air fryer, then go for a Philips HD9252/90 I’m saying this because a lot of us just buy gadgets and then they start to be kept aside. I found that basting your non veg items with a little oil really makes a world of difference. If you want to splurge, the Ninja Pro is a wonderful fryer. Ceramic and all that.
