I got the double stacker ninja thing, works well. no complaints, and slightly skinnier than the others so uses a little less bench space.

I am new to the Airfryer world. The thing I am most pleased with is I can ‘Sync’ my cooking in the 2 drawers. So different foods for the meal finish cooking at the same time. It has removable metal racks, that mean I can cook 4 different foods types at same time & sync finish. My introduction to the Airfryer came from staying at a relative’s home. They have a Ninja 2 drawer side by side design. So I looked at that brand & went for the Stacker design as they take up less room on the counter top. As a new user & still learning I find the 2 drawer are plenty big enough for all food I cook to feed a family of 4. If you need larger amounts of an item to cook you just turn it over half way through cooking. If you regularly cook legs of lamb or large whole chicken or other poultry. Obviously they will not fit. You need a different design. Or use your conventional oven. If you go for an Airfryer big enough for such large food items. Then it seems wasted space when doing a smaller quantity of food. Only you can decide which choice is most useful. It is the Sync Mode on my Ninja I most appreciate.

I am new to the Airfryer world. Definitely happy with my choice & recommend. After seeing a Ninja dual drawer side by side Airfryer in use. Also researched the varieties of Airfryers. Settled on the Stacker Ninja Dual Drawer model. As this has same capacity but takes up less space on counter top, than the side by side model. Other key features (& my favourite feature) is the Sync Mode. So different foods finish cooking at the same time. Also has Crisper Plates, so it is easy to have food cook at different drawer heights. So raised in the drawer, or at bottom of drawer. If add the wire shelfs to each drawer, then can cook 4 different foods at same time. Comes with a great Recipe Book & Instructions/Guide.

I got this recently and have been a little frustrated on the cooking quality. The top basket cooks much faster than the bottom even when the “double stack” and “match cook” buttons are chosen. I’m thinking about returning mine and getting a different model.

Yep I have the Ninja Double Stack - so it’s taller and narrower than most. Smaller footprint in my small kitchen. It slides back into a corner that’s pretty much inaccessible because I’m short and can’t reach to the corners without a step stool! 😂 Very unobtrusive and looks just fine. I had a Tower oven style air fryer previously which was just an ugly lump on the worktop.

r/airfryer • Anyone have an air fryer that doesn’t look terrible on the counter? We use it 2+ times a day. I hate having things on the counter generally ->

I love it, I honestly don’t know what I’d do without it now. You do need to shake stuff part way through, or shuffle unshakeable stuff from front to back etc but you do in all air fryers as far as I know. I’ve certainly had no issues and have no complaints at all. So easy to clean, too.

I just got the double stack from ninja.. I don't have a lot of countertop space in my NYC apartment but this one fits nicely and works great! I love that each basket/drawer comes with a separate rack that sits half way in the basket making 4 areas to cook on. the top rack in each drawer is the "crispier" foods rack

This is exactly why I just switched to getting the double stack.. each basket has a wire rack to basically make 4 cooking surfaces, too. (2 per drawer/basket - top rack being more crispy foods) Its pretty ideal

I just got one for Christmas. Using it now for first time to cook chopped up potatoes for meal prep. Using both baskets ... and it seems the top one cooks faster.... however, it takes much longer regardless than a traditional air fryer. 40 mins to cook my potatoes... usually takes 20.

I have the Doublestack and I do like it but there are some differences to air fryers that aren’t stacked. It saves counter space which is great. It heats from the back of the basket instead of above. Things closer to the back of the basket will cook a little quicker and be crispier. The crisper tray is adjustable so it can go all the way to the bottom of the basket or half way down. If I’m not putting too much in it, I prefer half way down which allows the air coming in to go under as well as over. I get much better results this way. It also has a grate which can be used when the crisper plate is at the bottom. You can have some stuff at the bottom of the basket and some on the grate. Then there is the other basket with all the same accessories and functionality. Lots of room for cooking but it can be easy to overcrowd a basket which will reduce crispiness. There’s a learning curve with it but I’m getting there after a couple of months of ownership. I quite like it but some people moving from top blowing air fryers do not.

I just bought the Ninja doublestack (two friers on top of each other instead of side by side) and had exactly the same reaction. Thought I could make chicken wings and fries but only need one appliance taking up counter space - I gave away my old Philips airfryer in happy anticipation. Then I actually did cook the meal and it took an hour and a quarter to get the wings and fries both cooked (Canada - we have the same electrical standards as the US uses). With two separate air fryers I could make the same meal in about 25 minutes. I was sooooo disappointed. I’m trying to adapt to how this cooks with both baskets. Food on the stainless grate that sits halfway up the basket crisps much, much faster than food on the bottom surface. Like “burns before the bottom part is cooked” faster. With my old Philips AF, which had a grate that sat in the middle, you could double the food being cooked but the heat was distributed more evenly. Honestly, if I’d known more about the doublestack model I wouldn’t have bought it, but I’m going to make the best of it now.

We got sucked into it here in Canada too. North American household voltage is not wired to run what is effectively two appliances plugged into one socket. My Ninja dual basket air fryer runs at a lower heat if both baskets are being used, and takes almost twice as much time to cook the food as using one basket at a time. I should’ve taken it back but it’s too late now.

Yes. I’ve been doing steak in my Ninja Foodie (the ‘dual drawer’ model, so I can cook veggies in the other drawer simultaneously using the ‘Smart Finish’ feature). I’ve cooked steak from both frozen and also thawed and marinated/seasoned. They both worked great for me, just the thawed one I simply changed the cooking time. Crisp outside and tender medium/rare inside. I’d still do the occasional pan-fried and seared steak on a weekend, but it’s mainly the air fryer I’ve been using.

I went through 3 of the non glass ones a few years ago and had to return them. After a few weeks of use, the metal fan would make contact with the lid (or something else in the air fryer) and would make this screeching metal-on-metal noise. Do not go for the cheap recommendations, I used to have a cheap gournia and another cheap brand (both were ~50 bucks), not very consistent, didn't cook all parts at same speed, etc. I love to cook everything in my ninja, lately I've been into cooking frozen steaks, better than sous vide etc and much easier and leave the best crust

We are also a family of two adults and a toddler, I'm veggie so we mostly eat veggie. And I do like to cook so it's not just throwing in frozen food but it's really good for that too. The only time I use the oven is for baking and I'm pretty sure you can do that in the air fryer but just not got round to it yet. We just upgraded ours to a Ninja that's got a double basket that can do different times and things but you can turn it into one big basket. If you have a really good oven and if it works fine for you then I'm not sure I would bother but if you don't then it's great.

I'm guessing you're in the US? Your sockets can't give out enough juice, so if using both baskets they get throttled down. Outside the US we don't have that problem. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to cook when the time and temp settings change depending on if you're using one or both baskets! Ninja should have made the US model with two separate plugs, one for each side.

Someone has commented on extended cooking times when using both baskets at the same time but that depends on where you are; it may be a factor worth considering if you’re in the US but it’s not the case for the UK (or the rest of Europe).

I'm curious if you buy what the OP is asking about and you cook something full of fat like bacon or chicken wings where does all the grease go and how hard is it to clean up? I currently have a ninja dual basket, all the grease and fat falls to the bottom so it's easy to pull the drawer and empty it out.

I have both the Ninja twin basket and the Insta. There is convenience in the Ninja and it does a good job nut the Insta is better in terms of cooking plus it comes with a rotisserie and a spinning basket. It also wants to warm up before you put in the food. However, for your parent who would be new to the device, the Ninja might be better.

I absolutely love my dual basket ninja. I use it almost every day. Cook two different items at two different temperatures for 2 different time lengths, synced to end at the same. Cook a lot of the same item in both baskets. Cook just a little bit of just one item in just one basket. So useful.

At least this one has 2 baskets. I bet it’s fine as long as you only use one layer in each basket (depending on if it has one or two heating elements). The price is not bad and Costco is great about returns so it might be worth a try. I was debating between a one big basket/one basket dual zone/two basket and got no consensus to help me choose! I wound up getting a Ninja dual basket from Costco and while I don’t often make full use of all its capabilities I’m delighted

I personally prefer the dual - then you can cook different kind side by side. For me more flexible.

I love the dual because as told more freedom cooking different in both compartments. Flexible. Well I think you can do pizza i haven’t tried that out -if pizza I use my pizza oven 🥰😋 but I can highly recommend to two compartment Ninja. I think in the long run you’ll get tired of the lack of freedom- always planning- the time and temperature. I love my air fryer ❤️ I haven’t cooked in my oven since I got it. Easy to clean as well hallelujah! I hate oven cleaning!! 🫣😅

We have the ninja dual basket.... I regularly use basket 2 alone. Just turn the power on, then click the 2, and then do the settings.

Honestly, I never wanted an air fryer, then my bf bought a Ninja. It does take up a decent amount of space on the counter, but I removed my toaster oven, which took about the same amount of space. It has 2 baskets that can cook on separate or the same temps, and it will regulate the time so they finish cooking together if cooking on different temps. It may be more than you're looking for, but I'm pleasantly surprised.

We also really like our Ninja dual basket. I like having the ability to cook at different temperatures and for differing times, as I'll often bake a potato on one side and roast tofu on the other.

I’m in the same camp with a dual basket Ninja. Honestly, I never thought about which side the heat comes from, but it’s worked great for me. If you’re still shopping, there’s a Redditor who put together a [side-by-side air fryer comparison sheet](https://www.reddit.com/u/MaterialisticOcelot/s/h0LDl15iBG). It covers all the reputable brands and was super helpful to see what’s out there.

No, there is another model that has a large single drawer that can also be divided, but the standard two drawer model has a solid element in the middle that would prevent a single drawer

Dual basket all the way. For example, tonight I made burgers; patties on one side, bacon on the other. Different times, different temps. All synched up by the Ninja to finish at the same time. I couldn't get by with one basket.

My Ninja dual basket is probably 4 years old now and absolutely still rips. I love it. I often cook two different things at different temps/times. And even when I want them to be the same it lets me cook a lot more while keeping things from getting piled up.
