Have this one and basket is stainless steel and it’s great but the basket is hard to clean without barkeepers friend
PlasticFreeLiving • Plastic free basket style air fr... ->I use it everyday. You can bake a frozen pizza in there
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I'm not a huge fan of its toasting abilities. It always chars the edges of the bread because the moving air dehydrates the exposed corners so quickly.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->> The flip up also doesn’t really save much counter space tbh. even if it did, I probably wouldn't use this feature. It'll just make a mess. And when you flip it up, it looks silly and out of place in my kitchen.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->It's a relatively large unit with 6 heating elements that goes up to 450. And since its an air fryer moving air through it, those heating elements need way more power than something like a toaster oven.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->got one not too long ago, and it's become our "go to" for small meals, toast, bagels, wings, etc. It really is nice and convenient.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I have a slightly older model of a Ninja oven-style air fryer: https://www.ninjakitchen.ca/products/ninja-sp300c-foodi-10-in-1-dual-heat-air-fry-oven,-countertop-oven,-broil,-1800-watts-zidSP300C I would recommend it. At the very least, having owned both styles, I would get this over-style air fryer over a basket-style one any day of the week. It cooks very evenly, I don't need to mess with my food much while it's in there, and the toast/oven/keep warm functions are surprisingly useful.
EatCheapAndHealthy • What’s the Best Air Fryer to Bu... ->Works well for my use case but is slower than a traditional slot toaster. I'd say you get a mild toast in 3-4 mins and a strong toast in 4-5 mins
EatCheapAndHealthy • What’s the Best Air Fryer to Bu... ->I feel like all the air fryers I've ever owned are hella loud so didn't bother me too much, but the fan does go hard.
EatCheapAndHealthy • What’s the Best Air Fryer to Bu... ->I can probably do drumsticks in 20 minutes, maybe 25.
EatCheapAndHealthy • What’s the Best Air Fryer to Bu... ->Mine is similar just the older model. I’ve had it for probably 5 years now and love it. I use it more than the regular oven.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->We had it for a year and returned it after not using it for six months. It leaked whenever flipped up.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Not having to wait 15 minutes for the oven to preheat is a game changer for prep time. We use ours for toast, air frying, baking, reheating, does it all pretty well.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I bought one a few weeks ago and am liking it so far!
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I use mine mainly for toasting and reheating and cooking frozen pizza. It’s amazing. Don’t use it to air fry though
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Good point on number 1. We have it too and I was not prepared for the lack of power in the air frying function 😂
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Ive used it to dehydrate peppers and it totally works. I want to try my own jerky!
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I love mine. Use it almost every day.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Wait... it comes with a drip tray you put the basket over. I have had mine since Feb and as long as you are good about cleaning the tray you are fine.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I have both the Vortex and the model OP listed - the Vortex lives in the basement now. Great unit, but the Foodi just does more, and has more space, even if it takes slightly longer to cook.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->It's great... Just hate that it takes up counter space.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Just got mine and used the air fryer to make hash brown patties for my breakfast Sammy. It’s legit so far. https://preview.redd.it/gwnjxj2iaz4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c281c628759557cbf6e79f8c5b4612099e66aa32
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->My in-laws have this, it works fine but I don't care for the fold up gimmick and seems small. I prefer my Cuisinart, it goes on sale occasionally at Costco.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Cooks well, love the space saving feature, easy to use with lots of settings/features but absolutely a pain cleaning it. Because of cleaning issue I wouldn’t purchase again.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->The best thing about this is that it holds a whole pizza. Works more like a toaster oven and is difficult to clean but I still love it.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Daily driver for me since I buy premade oven lunch meals and it’s perfect at the job. I have used almost every other feature and also been great at air frying and toasting.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I love mine ….it isa great little oven does a lot
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Just know it’s hard to clean. I did like how it goes up to 500 degrees for pizza
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I enjoy mine. It does everything I need it to do without needing multiple devices. Plus no coating to come off like the other one.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Love ours! Daily use and it actually toasts bread well which is what we end up doing most in it. It’s great and an awesome deal on sale
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->We’ve had ours for a year and it is a go-to for my kids! Love that it has so many functions. Definitely worth the money and the counter space!
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->It’s by far my most used and favorite kitchen appliance. I HATE having extra appliances. But this thing does it all. I use it literally every day. When it kicks the bucket, I’ll buy the exact same one.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->We got one as a wedding gift. Absolutely love it. Our old oven heats up our entire apartment which is miserable in the summer, this thing has already been a lifesaver. We use it every day
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Had one, started making whining noises after about 6 weeks. Failed about a month later. Last Ninja product I’ll ever buy.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->This was my experience as well. Ours got broke while moving so we went back to a basket air fryer.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->It's great. I use it almost daily as others have said it's hard to clean and keep clean. Also need to add time or temp to airfry things properly.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Have had it since last summer’s sale. It is pretty great. However, temper your expectations. 1. The “air fry” function is not quite as powerful as a true air fryer. It works well but time and temp might vary depending on what you’re cooking. The variety of functions means it doesn’t do anything perfectly but it’s really easy to dial in. 2. It’s hard to clean if you let it get bad. Simple green and using foil and a drip tray are your friends. Like another comment said, this basically is my oven, I never use my actual one. It’s the perfect size for basically anything unless you are cooking for larger groups or odd sized things.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->The air roast function might be my most used honestly, it crisps up things that would normally be air fried if you use a tray and adds a solid surface for getting crispy sides
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Have. Love it. Recommend it highly.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I’ve had mine for a year. I love it. Used several times a day. It’s just a convection oven. Not really “air fry”. But is really great
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Agree with this, we basically use it at a toaster as it is a pain to clean anytime you bake or air fry
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I had this one for a bit, it was too thin for us personally, felt small inside and I like 2 racks. I ended up the taller cusinart one
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I will say that since I bought it for the 2 racks…I use it more often on the single rack. I’ll use it more on 2 when it’s hot this summer and I don’t want to turn oven on so I can make multiple things. Although thin, it was wider than others. It’s a tough decision ha!
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Have had the same issue, landed here when researching it. Been kinda disappointed that I can’t follow regular air fry recipes with good results. Still use the regular oven feature WAY more than my full size oven though!
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I have it and love it. I use almost all of the functions on it, including the dehydrator to make my own sugar cubes, because sugar cubes in my tea, make me happy. If you get it, just make sure to use the cookie tray under the air fryer basket, because cleaning this thing is not the easiest. But if you follow the that instruction, cleaning is not bad at all.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->We replaced our dead Cuisinart with this model in March. We're big airfryer users, pretty much daily between toast/bake/fry. This one is nice, cooks well. The temp is more true to reading than the Cuisinart seemed to be. I love the flip-up feature.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->We have this model, bought about 6 months ago or less. We had the older model before that. It's really nice
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Yep. I find it a good oven, good toaster, and poor air fryer.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I don't like it. We use it as our toaster, too and it is a pain in the neck to clean.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I got this 2 or 3 years ago as a multi-purpose appliance. This one specifically because of the counter space saving storage option. I rarely use my oven unless I'm hosting a dinner party. It does the exact equivalent to single purpose appliance for toast, oven, pretty good for dehydrate, but the air fryer is the function that's not quite equal to a dedicated air fryer but for me that's OK as I don't use that cooking method a ton. I use it to reheat fried chicken and fries. Lol If air frying is a really important feature to you, maybe not this one. It fits the Motor City pizza perfectly. That's reason enough. 😆 Edit - typo
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->i purchased and returned as I was looking for a toaster-oven capability and the inside of this one was too small to cook evenly and thoroughly at lower temps. (everything charred on the outside.) I know people that love it and use it a lot, just the shape of the oven didn't work for me.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I LOVE this air fryer. We were using an instant pot air fryer lid and it was so sad compared to this. Cools a huge tray of nuggets evenly. Makes great toast. Roasts a pan of chicken and potatoes so fast. Folds away to give you counter space back. Love it love it love it.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->We’ve had ours for over a year now and really like it. I like that I can bake, air fry, and toast with one device. There’s a lot more functions I know but those are the main ones we use. Great for reheating food as well. As others have said, the air fry function doesn’t get things super crispy if you follow the exact time, but I always leave stuff in an extra few minutes and it turns out well.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Yeah, I'm not sure either, and I kind of wonder if the 'air frying' part is just playing to a certain market. That being said I own this exact brand, and I just think of it as a small convection oven, and it's basically perfect. It heats up way more quickly than my large oven, doesn't warm up my home as much, and basically replaces my oven for like 90% of my baking needs. Never used the air frying basket.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Yes!!! It’s awesome. It preheats extremely fast, the modes are actually useful, it’s big enough that I usually don’t need to use my gas oven. It’s probably not the best air fryer in the world, but it does the job. It’s a really really really good toaster oven with air fryer functionality. I love using the pizza function because it does a little bit of air frying without going the whole way. Makes things crispier, and of course works well with frozen pizzas.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I thought the thinness would be a problem but it’s really not that much thinner than a regular toaster oven, if at all.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->We purchased it around a year ago. We use it 2-3 times a day. Like any new tool it takes a few times to figure out all of its functions. We use it as a toaster, air fryer, baking, and for cooking pizza. I haven't tried the dehydrator feature yet. Other comments regarding the air fryer feature don't really apply to us since we avoid most frying applications. It does crisp chicken tenders and other preprepared foods to our satisfaction. As for cleaning, I purchased liners from Amazon and they saved me a ton of time cleaning this unit. Edit: to add we love the flip option. We have limited counter space. This works great for us.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Yes, just know it gets diiirrrtty bc it’s air frying so oil splatters
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->We’ve had ours 4+ years and I’ve used the dehydrate option several times to make jerky. Worked well. Air fry option isn’t like a true air fry, but not bad. It’s not that tall internally, so you have to make adjustments. Overall we like it, but will go with something a bit bigger internally next time.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->Best way I can explain it is it’s more like a direct air convection-broil compared to an air fry only unit.
Costco • Anybody like the Ninja Foodi air fryer that... ->I use my IP more, but I rarely use our full-size oven since we got our air fryer toaster oven. We have one of the Ninja flip up models, and it’s great if you also don’t have a lot of counterspace.
vegan • What to get? Air fryer or instant pot? ->Yes, the Ninja Foodi is one of the best air fryers. It has great feedback and reviews.
Cooking • What is the best air fryer ? ->Same, I did just purchase a stainless steel pot because my nonstick coating was starting to chip. Otherwise the things been trouble free.
BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->No, the basket is aluminum, the grill surface is aluminum, and the plate is Teflon. You can’t clean the damn thing either.
airfryer • Ninja Crispi a good non-toxic air fryer? ->Ninja Foodi, has an air fryer function built in that works great

airfryer • My air fryer went to the big kitchen in t... ->Ninja Foodi I love mine so much.
airfryer • My air fryer went to the big kitchen in t... ->I also had a Ninja flip and it just wasn’t as good as basket style air fryers. I also went back to a basket style.
airfryer • New Cosori Turboblaze! ->I didn’t get it from Costco, but I really have enjoyed it. It is a huge pain to clean. So if that’s an issue, stay away. I have limited counter space. So that was worth trying it out back when it was on sale at Best Buy. I love its versatility. And it’s cooked pretty well for me.
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->True. But wouldn't that be a problem with most toaster oven air fryers? Another thing that I read about is that it might not cool things evenly, since the fan is on the sidez and not the top. But I guess that's something you need to experience with
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->I did, and I found out after buying it that it's not the version you can open from the back so that was a bit of a bummer. But overall, we use it almost everyday and barely using our oven since we bought it. We flip it all the time and it does save counter space. But as mentioned by others it is very hard to clean so I just gave up at some point. I'll probably get a bigger one once we feel like upgrading.
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->My parents have the flip ninja one and it’s alright. Needs to be a tad taller but not like their huge model.
BuyItForLife • RTINGS Tested 20 Toaster Ovens Agains...
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->It’s a bitch to Clean/keep clean
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->I used to, got rid of it after a year and got a traditional air fryer and never looked back.
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->Glad to see this and I wanted to echo the same. We’ve had our Ninja Foodi for 6 years and use it 2x a week at a minimum. It will die eventually, but I definitely feel it’s a worthwhile buy.
BuyItForLife • Can you recommend a BIFL air fryer? ->My Ninja Foodi came with a non-stick pot, but I bought a replacement stainless steel pot on Amazon. I also replaced the non-stick rack with stainless steel. If anyone is concerned about the inner pot it’s easy to replace. Worth a little extra investment to protect our birds.
parrots • PSA For anyone thinking about getting a ni... ->Same here. Just buy a replacement pot and the problem is solved.
parrots • PSA For anyone thinking about getting a ni... ->Ninja Foodi which is both. Both things are very nice to have and very different, to be honest.
Frugal • Air fryer or slow cooker? ->I just bought one at Costco on sale. So far, I absolutely love it !!! Some say that it's hard to clean, but I honestly find it quite easy to wipe down after each use. I take a soft cloth, and put it into a bowl of very hot water \*(with a tiny drop of Dawn Dish Soap mixed in) and wipe down all sides of the oven with it twice. I then rinse out the rag, and wipe it down again with clear water to rinse it off properly. It does take a bit of effort to clean it after every use, but I know that a few minutes of my time will keep grease from building up a layer, which would make it much harder to clean down the road. \*(I always clean it when the unit it is still a tiny bit warm. I wait for the HOT symbol to disappear, and then I clean it a few minutes later.) It is very quiet, and gives fabulous restaurant style cooking results every time.
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->Ninja Foodi! I, too have a very small kitchen and I use my ninja every single day. You can cook just about anything you want in it. I don’t even own a microwave anymore because it’s just as easy to use the Foodi for everything.
Frugal • Air fryer or slow cooker? ->Ninja foodi is amazing. I love the pressure cooking/steam and crisp for frozen chicken breasts, slow cooling big beef roasts on sale, air frying frozen processed foods like nuggets etc etc It can be a little annoying to clean but it’s worth it. My most used household cooking appliance by far
Frugal • Air fryer or slow cooker? ->I’ve never had any problems with any of my Ninja products (bullet, double stack XL, or slushi), but I will say that their instructions are more detailed than most, plus obviously they are more expensive, but I think that has to do a lot with product reputation. The only thing I don’t like about the double stack is that the top rack is so narrow. After finding[ this thread on Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/user/No-Competition-5766/comments/1i5jdq2/air_fryer_models_comparison_spreadsheet/) and comparing the different Ninja models, I think that the Foodi might be a better fit for me. I thought I’d share, though, as you can compare all the different brands.
airfryer • Ninja Double Stack XL — don’t buy it ->A little late to this party, but Ninja Foodi(I think) changed my life. Air fryer, saute, slow and pressure cooker all-in-one
CasualUK • Fellow CasualUKers. Recommend me... An... ->I love my ninja flip up but am I missing out not using a basket air fryer? Aside from being a pain to clean on the sides and back, I feel it crisps up nice unless I don’t know better?
airfryer • New Cosori Turboblaze! ->It works great on pizza for sure. I wish I had the space for both but it would clutter my counters.
airfryer • New Cosori Turboblaze! ->I just got the ninja foodi and it's been great so far.
airfryer • Ninja or Tefal? ->I have a Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 and love it. I love the fact that it has so many functions like a pressure cooker, an air fryer, and so much more. The size of the air fryer is small, but it’s enough for my family and I. It’s the perfect companion to my Thermomix! Mine died just recently at the 2 year mark and they wont do anything about it. I have the big one remaining with the thermometer and I hope it lasts.
airfryer • Which air fryer would you buy, or definit... ->I love my ninja 10-1 air fryer. It's a toaster oven, a mini oven, an air fryer, a broiler, and more
cookingforbeginners • Best air fryer companies in usa ->I think we have the ninja foodie 10 in 1 oven thing and we've only used our real oven like twice since we got it and that was entirely because the pizza was too big. There's something great about being like "yes, cook my burrito at 400 for 29 minutes and then shut off" that makes it so useful. Well setup food and not worry at all about it being done because it always is. There's even a thermometer and a setting system to get the internal temp to a preferred temp. "Is that chicken juicy or raw? Turns out it's juicy since internal temp hit 180." Sometimes I'll add things in stages so the veggies don't cook as long as the meat or something. We also went out and got random metal trays from a thrift store so we can load small portions separately. But really being able to setup the oven and just let the timer handle it is the bees knees. The one single con is just because a roast or bird CAN fit doesn't mean it SHOULD fit. If the fan is running and fatty meat is too close to the element you can get smoke from the fat. Which could also happen in a regular oven, it's just more noticeable in an air fryer oven. So only a small family roast, no holiday roasts or turkeys.
airfryer • Pros cons about the oven style airfryer? ->I have a Ninja Foodi air fryer that is still going strong after 5 yrs of usage and it is still geting use multiple times a week.
Costco • Air fryer recommendations ->We have the Ninja Foodi oven style one. It's great and it's large enough to cook small meals.

Cooking • I think I'm going to finally break... and ... ->My first foodie lasted 4 years, 2nd one 1 year 😔
Cooking • I think I'm going to finally break... and ... ->I have a Ninja Flip. A little pricey but it’s very versatile and folds out of the way for counter space!
Cooking • I think I'm going to finally break... and ... ->I'm a big fan of the Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry/Toaster (the one that flips up). It air fries, toasts, roasts, keeps warm, etc. And, bc it flips up, it saves on counter space. It's amazing for frozen food. It's not tall, however. You can't roast a whole chicken. Anyway, it's replaced my regular toaster (gave it away) and large oven which I only use monthly at this point.
Cooking • Thinking about picking up an Air Fryer ->I largely disliked it, outside of the capacity. Before you read below, I'd say my wife and I used this unit moderately (i.e. regular cleaning, used 2 to 3 times a week). First of all, the screen makes a buzzing sound that is super annoying. That's a minor annoyance, but one that infuriated me more and more the longer I owned the thing and saw the other short-comings. Secondly, it doesn't air-fry all that well. It isn't bad, but if all you need is a dedicated air-fryer, well, this thing is assuredly worse than a basket air-fryer. Thirdly, this thing makes a f***ing mess. It's hard to clean, the crumb/ drip tray is a really bad design (the seams can leak food oil directly beneath the machine). I can appreciate the idea of having an outside accessible crumb pan, but in practice it is just not worth it. Fourth, the finish on the thing started peeling within one year (black coated model) and the function stickers were rubbing off within 6 months. At this price-point the function indicators 'ought to have been engraved. Fifth, it takes far longer to heat up than conventional air-fryers. Sixth, the g**d*mned light on it turns off after like 5 seconds. No adjusting it, no keeping it on, just an annoying button you have to keep pressing if you're keeping an eye on what you're cooking. After you cook with this and you get annoyed at all of the above, the softly buzzing screen incessantly reminds you that you definitely overpaid for this unit. If I had to summarize this thing: it is far far far overpriced for a machine that really doesn't do anything special that other oven-style air-fryers don't, and MOST CERTAINLY NOT justifiable at 3x the cost given the shortcomings. I replaced it with one of the flip up Ninja thingies a while ago and never looked back. No, I can't roast a whole chicken in it, but I can do everything else (pizza, toast, air fry, etc).
airfryer • Questions about the Breville Smart Oven A... ->I have a Ninja Foodi that has been my primary device for years, bought one of these to combo with it as I couldn't pass up the pricing, and I actually use it more often my Ninja now! Of course there are certain functions that only my Foodi is capable of, but when it comes to plain ol' air frying the Gourmia is great
Costco • Has anyone tried the Gourmia air fryer oven? ->Ninja Foodi, used multiple times a week since April of 2020
BuyItForLife • Reliable air fryers? ->Okay so ignore me if this is out of budget. Get rid of the slow cooker and instant pot and get the ninja foodi. It has an air fryer, slow cooker, and instant pot settings. Frees up some space and you have a gadget that does all of them.
adhdwomen • If I buy an air fryer, will I regret it? ->I have a Ninja Foodi and I use it a lot! It has an air fryer, pressure cooker, steamer etc and I use most of the functionality it has and it saves me so much time!
adhdwomen • If I buy an air fryer, will I regret it? ->I have the same one - I love it!
adhdwomen • If I buy an air fryer, will I regret it? ->I have an air fryer oven. It’s a Ninja foodi 10 in 1. I cook all kinds of stuff, but fish mostly. I had a Cuisinart that broke, a hamilton beach i replaced it with and burned my hand on really bad and took it back instantly. The Ninja has been the best.
adhdwomen • If I buy an air fryer, will I regret it? ->The foodi is the best!
Home • Should I get an air fryer or one pot? ->Check out the Ninja Foodi. We love ours. Makes perfect rice and so much more. Insta pot/pressure cooker, air fryer, slow cooker and rice cooker all in one. The only downside is it’s kinda big because of the extra air fryer lid. The pressure lid is always attached. Also the pot is dishwasher safe and is more ceramic like. Makes better rice than a rice cooker and better pulled pork than a slow cooker.
Home • Should I get an air fryer or one pot? ->I'm dehydrating strawberries in mine right now and already have had to remind myself it isnt an option three times. That thing is in use constantly! My favorite thing to do is freeze (unbaked) cookies and muffins. When kiddo or I want them, I jusy toss them in our air fryer (ninja foodi 10 in 1) and we have fresh baked treats 10 minutes later!
toddlers • Air fryer worth it? ->Have the Ninja counter space saver always looks to small inside but has not failed in anything we put in . Bonus great for crousaunts and doing toast for a crowd.
airfryer • My air fryer went to the big kitchen in t... ->I agree. Our big oven took a dive, but when I saw I could convection roast a whole chicken in this thing, I went for it. Haven’t even looked at the oven in three months. Got rid of the Gourmia air fryer and my toaster and couldn’t be happier. It does everything, and well.
airfryer • My air fryer went to the big kitchen in t... ->Depends on what you consider big. For reference we have a family of five but my two boys never stop eating. We opted for the Ninja smart XL line. We've cooked four chicken breasts, burgers, a whole chicken, bacon, etc. I think it holds about 4qts and it's worked for the last 4 years until recently. The internal shield failed and now it smells like burnt plastic. Still it's the longest lasting air fryer. We've had three others that didn't even last one year. Ninja also has oven style French door models that hold much more capacity than basket styles.
Cooking • I think about buying air fryer but I dont ... ->We love ours. Versatile. Cooks well.
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->With Dawn, the basket and tray clean up well. The crumb tray slides out and the bottom opens (when flipped up) for cleaning access. Does it clean up each time to original condition? No. It’s a functional oven where heat and fat mix, so it will looked used. Not the same as dirty. Long way of saying depends on your kitchen OCD level.
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->I have one. It's been such a help and great with limited counter space in our small apartment. I can see why people are talking about the pain to clean BUT I have so far used parchment paper every time we use the air fry/bake settings. I got this to replace my old toaster and to not have to but a second appliance (air fryer). Is been his to us so far.
airfryer • Thoughts about Ninja Foodi 10 in 1 from C... ->I have the ninja flip, from what I’ve pieced together from mine would be turning the fan on/off (air frying vs baking), broiling (only turns top heating element on), and dehydrating (low temp and maybe fan for a long time). I think toasting might turn top and bottom heating elements on at the same as well, ultimately just leaving it on air fry would realistically do all of it but selecting those individually might be slightly more efficient
airfryer • My old airfryer has bitten the dust so ti... ->Oh it’s definitely the most intuitive air fryer I have ever had, the only downside to me is how hard it is to clean since my model can’t remove the bottom panel like some can
airfryer • My old airfryer has bitten the dust so ti... ->Honestly haven’t explored too many cooking modes yet but it’s a neat trick how the thing flips outta the way if you’re tight on counter space, the control panel is surprisingly intuitive, gotta like smart touches like the interior light coming on at the end of cycle or being controllable manually.
airfryer • My old airfryer has bitten the dust so ti... ->Not BIFL but Ninja Foodi took an absolut beating from us. It's slowing down but considering how much use we've got out of it I am damn impressed.
BuyItForLife • Can you recommend a BIFL air fryer? ->We use ours literally everyday. Prob like 6 years too. I find it takes a while to heat up now it's on its way out but we rely on this so much.
BuyItForLife • Can you recommend a BIFL air fryer? ->Yeah, this is weird - Ninja in the US has always said the opposite and people recommend them highly for that reason. I can even feel that mine are not like non-stick pans, it's definitely ceramic and not fully non-stick. I wonder if something changed, or if this is one of the things Europe/UK have less health restrictions compared to the US? We have a huge movement of objects being healthier for us, including pans and bakeware made without these chemicals. I feel like I mainly see the PTFE/PFOA-free pans compared to those with, now, even in cheap places like Walmart.
parrots • PSA For anyone thinking about getting a ni... ->I vote slow cooker because most things you make in one reheat well and often taste better as the days go by. I have three air fryers, one is a Ninja Foodi which functions as an air fryer, pressure cooker, slow cooker, yogurt maker. It does a great job air frying and pressure cooking, but leaves a lot to be desired as a slow cooker and yogurt maker because it gets too hot. I also have an Instant Pot I use a lot, but not as a slow cooker, it’s just not the same.
Frugal • Air fryer or slow cooker? ->Second the ninja foodie. I use mine all the time and the air fry function is great.
CasualUK • Fellow CasualUKers. Recommend me... An... ->Ninja Foodi - probably not as good/convenient as a dedicated air fryer for the actual air frying part, but it can also sauté/simmer, slow cook, pressure cook, steam air fry (good for chicken breasts so don’t dry out), dehydrate and apparently 8 other functions but I’ve not used them lol. Makes for a very useful gadget! Negative is it’s a pretty big unit of a thing, so storage can be an issue. Also the lid flips open so you need room above to be able to open it which may limit where you can use it if you have cupboards above all your sides.
CasualUK • Fellow CasualUKers. Recommend me... An... ->I have the ninja speedi. We use it for so many things, air frying, proofing and baking bread, steaming veggies, I've even used the dehydrate setting to dehydrate fruit. We use it daily. Mine did break outside of warranty and I immediately ordered a new one, same brand and model. Edit to add: I have a few friends who have the ninja foodi and really love that too. I've read a lot of reviews on the two models. It seems the speedi has a slightly better air fry feature, but the foodie has a pressure cooker setting, so it depends on what people are looking for. I know some who really love their regular ninja air fryer as well. If I was in the market for a new air fryer I'd honestly check out the ninja ones, they really do seem to make a product worth investing in.
airfryer • Which air fryer would you buy, or definit... ->Yes! I have the same one and it’s honestly been such a game changer - poke some holes in a potato and toss it in the microwave for 7 minutes then roll in a little oil and salt then 8 minutes in the air fryer (flip halfway) and it’s better than a restaurant baked potato. Frozen veggies? Toss them in the air fryer. Baked chicken thighs? Into the air fryer they go. I love the ninja because it’s the toaster oven shape (as well as being a toster oven) my sister has a non-ninja “bowl” type and I specifically got mine because I knew I would never use the other kind. I’m getting ready to upgrade to a larger ninja that can fit a whole roast chicken and I’m more excited than I thought I would be 😂
cookingforbeginners • Best air fryer companies in usa ->Had a PowerXL one that worked great for about 5 years of near daily use before it bit the dust last year. Got a Ninja Foodi to replace it and have been pretty happy with it. I really like that it folds away when not using it to save on counter space and that its big enough to make a meal for the whole family.
EatCheapAndHealthy • What’s the Best Air Fryer to Bu... ->It’s amazing honestly I love it it has so many options, 2 racks, a light, half way turnover timer, tons of cooking options such as baking, roasting, broiling etc. it also doesn’t have PUFAS/ PFAS or whatever all that stuff everyone is concerned about. The top rack also doubles as a cooling rack. It’s a bit of a pain to clean but that’s the same thing with most air fryers since they need ventilation holes in the surfaces to effectively circulate the hot air. The window is nice to be able to see your food. It’s a pretty nice size, enough to put enough food for 2 adults and 2 kids. It also comes with a cool little laminated air frying guide that shows about 60 different foods and how long to cook them for, what temp etc. it’s definately better than your typical chef man and lower end fryers priced at this range but if you’re looking for something a bit nicer around $120 I recommend the ninja foodie.
Costco • Has anyone tried the Gourmia air fryer oven? ->I’ve had a Ninja Foodi for years. Usually more than £100 but think you can get manufacturer refurbs off of eBay for close to that price. It’s more than just an air fryer. It also has pressure cooker, sauté, roast, dehydrate as well as other functions I don’t use. Best use for me is for sausages, can get up in the morning, chuck them in there for 13 minutes and they’re done without having to tend to them. Also use the pressure cooker for curries, and you can brown the meat in there first before switching to pressure. Mrs even used it to dehydrate orange slices to make her own Christmas wreathes. We wouldn’t be without it.
ketouk • Any ketoers use Air fryers? ->The Ninja Foodi and Cosori Pro are two of the best air fryers for even cooking, large capacity, and versatility. Instant Vortex Plus is another great choice with multiple functions like roasting and dehydrating. If you want something high-end, Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer is excellent.
BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Ninja Foodi Dual Zone for multi-cooking, Cosori Pro LE for a compact design, Instant Vortex Plus for versatility, Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer for premium features, and Philips Premium XXL for large portions.
BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Top air fryer picks include Ninja Foodi Dual Zone for multi-cooking, Cosori Pro LE for compact efficiency, Instant Vortex Plus for versatility, Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer for premium features, and Philips Premium XXL for large portions.
BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->I bought a Ninja Foodi on sale for $189 and it lasted 4 years until the lights wouldn't come on in it anymore. It still fried and toasted at least 2 times a day everyday though. So we bought the same model again since the lights are not replaceable. Not technically BIFL, but we think it is worth every penny and inch of counterspace it takes up.
BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Ninja foodi is my holy grail. I’ve had it for 5 years. I do everything with it. I couldn’t recommend a better one. Super plus is you can remove the cooking basket and wash it. It’s not connected to plastic. Easy to clean. Lots of function. Pressure cooking, baking, dehydrating, slow cooker, air fryer. List goes on.
BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->I think it depends what style you buy. My mom had a toaster oven type one and I don’t like it as much as my own. Plus gotta wait for it to preheat. I have a ninja foodie that doesn’t need to preheat and it’s what started getting me to cook more. However, cleaning it is a bitch so there might be that regret.
adhdwomen • If I buy an air fryer, will I regret it? ->I have a ninja foodi that’s like an air fryer plus a small oven plus a toaster oven (does some other stuff I don’t use too). I use it almost every day. Sometimes I use it multiple times a day. It preheats essentially immediately, so anything that can fit in it (which includes most frozen pizzas) goes in it instead of the real oven. It makes cooking feel like less of a commitment.
adhdwomen • If I buy an air fryer, will I regret it? ->yeah, the ninja foodie is Teflon free and it air fries, slow cooks, sous vides, it's like a 12 in 1 gizmo, I love mine.
parrots • Bird safe air fryer? ->I upgraded to the flip from a basket style air fryer. So I have both. I tend to use the Flip more than the basket style. The tray makes doing four chicken breasts fast and easy. But I do note it takes longer in the flip so,it’s hard to take on a new recipe without monitoring everything.
airfryer • New Cosori Turboblaze! ->I got this one for my dad a few Christmases ago; I HAAATE how short it is, you have like a 3in. height limit for anything you want to cook lol might be good for OP tho, he said size is a main priority but my dad's already wanting to replace his 😅
BuyItForLife • Looking for an air fryer/mini oven co... ->Ninja Foodi Flip. It's pretty big but also pretty flat (made specifically to fit a whole frozen pizza) but you can flip it upright when you're not using it. Had mine for like four years and no problems
BuyItForLife • Looking for an air fryer/mini oven co... ->The Ninja flip style air fryers are great for baking, toasting, roasting, air frying, dehydrating, and more. Takes up a bit of counter space but the flip up feature saves some space when not in use and the size is great for heating up pizzas. Why get an air fryer if you’re not going to fry things with it?
airfryer • Are the small air fryers any good ->I recently bought the Cosori Pro 2 and it completely blew my ninjas out of the water. I had a Ninja Foodi and the Ninja AF101 and Dual Zone (endless cycles of upgrading and gifting to friends who didnt have an air fryer). Got a Cosori as an extra air fryer. It was $48 on clearance at walmart due to the red color not being very popular. The Cosori performs better than the Ninja in a very key aspect, the removable basket design. Since the sides are also detachable from the overall basket, they can add vents to the side of the basket. This allows the circulation of air to the underside even if the basket is completely full. Ninja's removable plate design would always result in a soggy underside if I overfilled due to the air being unable to circulate. In a scenario where both are half empty, they perform the same - slight edge to the Ninja. The removable basket vents no longer makes me afraid of just dumping a bag of fries This is not worth selling your Ninja and buying a new Cosori. These downfalls can be easily solved by preheating, shaking or simply not overfilling. But it's nice to just set it and forget it And just a preference, I infinitely prefer cleaning the dual basket than trying to remove a hot plate from the bottom
