Yes. I was on the fence and we didn't have room for one, but when our toaster died I bought the Ninja Foodi 6 in 1 that looks like a toaster oven. This gets used multiple times per day. You can do regular toast and bagels, you can broil stuff, bake muffins without having to preheat an oven, and make way more than just bagged frozen food, though it's great for that. Fries, nuggets, meatballs, toasted ravioli, taquitos, pierogies, pizza, popcorn shrimp...all that. You can roast veggies or salmon. I don't know, there's just a ton of stuff. You can do sandwiches with melted cheese or toasted buns for burgers. If I'm making spaghetti, the air fryer might get used for garlic bread or roasted broccoli. My husband grilled salmon the other night on the regular grill and I made corn bread muffins to go with it in there. They were done start to finish in 15 min.

Ninja Foodi... the one that flips up. Takes 1/2 a sheet pan and holds a normal frozen Pizza. I am on my 2nd one, use it every day... Any time you just want to make 1 frozen meal, or fries/tots, etc. it is used. Whenever you don't want to heat up the big oven, it is used... Best low $ appliance I have IMHO... I use mine as a salamander and toaster oven as well... 1/2 sheet pan meals are enough for 3 easily btw... The ones with the plastic containers are stupid IMHO... I use my IP more, but I rarely use our full-size oven since we got our air fryer toaster oven. We have one of the Ninja flip up models, and it’s great if you also don’t have a lot of counterspace.

We have the regular 6-in-1, not the xl. I seriously considered upgrading to the 10-in-1 but it is considerably heavier. We only use the air fryer and grill functions, but the griddle is tempting.

No, the basket is aluminum, the grill surface is aluminum, and the plate is Teflon. You can’t clean the damn thing either.

I also had a Ninja flip and it just wasn’t as good as basket style air fryers. I also went back to a basket style.

I love my ninja flip up but am I missing out not using a basket air fryer? Aside from being a pain to clean on the sides and back, I feel it crisps up nice unless I don’t know better?

It works great on pizza for sure. I wish I had the space for both but it would clutter my counters.

I'm a big fan of the Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry/Toaster (the one that flips up). It air fries, toasts, roasts, keeps warm, etc. And, bc it flips up, it saves on counter space. It's amazing for frozen food. It's not tall, however. You can't roast a whole chicken. Anyway, it's replaced my regular toaster (gave it away) and large oven which I only use monthly at this point.

I largely disliked it, outside of the capacity. Before you read below, I'd say my wife and I used this unit moderately (i.e. regular cleaning, used 2 to 3 times a week). First of all, the screen makes a buzzing sound that is super annoying. That's a minor annoyance, but one that infuriated me more and more the longer I owned the thing and saw the other short-comings. Secondly, it doesn't air-fry all that well. It isn't bad, but if all you need is a dedicated air-fryer, well, this thing is assuredly worse than a basket air-fryer. Thirdly, this thing makes a f***ing mess. It's hard to clean, the crumb/ drip tray is a really bad design (the seams can leak food oil directly beneath the machine). I can appreciate the idea of having an outside accessible crumb pan, but in practice it is just not worth it. Fourth, the finish on the thing started peeling within one year (black coated model) and the function stickers were rubbing off within 6 months. At this price-point the function indicators 'ought to have been engraved. Fifth, it takes far longer to heat up than conventional air-fryers. Sixth, the g**d*mned light on it turns off after like 5 seconds. No adjusting it, no keeping it on, just an annoying button you have to keep pressing if you're keeping an eye on what you're cooking. After you cook with this and you get annoyed at all of the above, the softly buzzing screen incessantly reminds you that you definitely overpaid for this unit. If I had to summarize this thing: it is far far far overpriced for a machine that really doesn't do anything special that other oven-style air-fryers don't, and MOST CERTAINLY NOT justifiable at 3x the cost given the shortcomings. I replaced it with one of the flip up Ninja thingies a while ago and never looked back. No, I can't roast a whole chicken in it, but I can do everything else (pizza, toast, air fry, etc).

We recently upgraded to one with two baskets and I think it is a game changer. If we were going to cook meat and veggies we would either have to do one after the other or do one in the oven. This way we can do both at once. It also has a feature so if they have two separate cook times, you can hit go and it will wait to start the other basket so they finish at the same time. I have seen some with one big basket and dividers and that would be kind of nice if you had a larger thing to cook. I think we have the Ninja Foodi 6 in 1. Forget if it’s the 8 or 10 quart. Also I would WAIT FOR BLACK FRIDAY DEALS. I feel like there are always so many air fryers on Black Friday. I think we got ours like half off at Target but not 100% sure.

Oh really? I figured there would be more in America but thought it had spread. I guess it also sort of centers around our thanksgiving holiday. Either way sale or not they’re worth it. My gf got one years ago and I thought it was some dumb tik tok fas she was buying into but we honestly use ours like every other day. Can get a nice crisp on things, don’t have to wait for it to preheat, and it’s very nice in the summer (especially if you don’t have AC which I know a lot of Europe does not) because you can cook without heating up your whole house/apartment from the oven! Two baskets isn’t necessary but I do think it’s worth paying extra for so you can do meat and veggies at the same time. Some have all these 6 in 1 or 7 in 1 but that’s mostly just marketing. It has settings that will change the temp ranges but will also change the Dan speed but I don’t think that is critical. Either way we like the one we have for sure! Let me know if you have any questions.

Depends on what you consider big. For reference we have a family of five but my two boys never stop eating. We opted for the Ninja smart XL line. We've cooked four chicken breasts, burgers, a whole chicken, bacon, etc. I think it holds about 4qts and it's worked for the last 4 years until recently. The internal shield failed and now it smells like burnt plastic. Still it's the longest lasting air fryer. We've had three others that didn't even last one year. Ninja also has oven style French door models that hold much more capacity than basket styles

I just bought the Ninja Foodie Air Fry Oven with digital crisp control, and flips up for storage.  (Costco) I’m thinking that it will be cleaned each time after use, as would any other equivalent machine.  As another reviewer stated, a drop of dawn and some hot water and then a rinse with damp cloth.  This is a bigger model than my previous one which I did same cleaning process and it still works fine but would like a bigger one.  This sounds like a good one. Fingers crossed

I have the ninja flip, from what I’ve pieced together from mine would be turning the fan on/off (air frying vs baking), broiling (only turns top heating element on), and dehydrating (low temp and maybe fan for a long time). I think toasting might turn top and bottom heating elements on at the same as well, ultimately just leaving it on air fry would realistically do all of it but selecting those individually might be slightly more efficient

Honestly haven’t explored too many cooking modes yet but it’s a neat trick how the thing flips outta the way if you’re tight on counter space, the control panel is surprisingly intuitive, gotta like smart touches like the interior light coming on at the end of cycle or being controllable manually.

Cosori is what I have now, it’s awesome! I will never buy a Ninja Foodi (whatever in 1) the toaster ovens/air fryer are a pain in the ass to clean, I rarely ever used any function other than pizza and air fryer so all the other functions were pointless for me. It does however make AWESOME frozen pizzas

Did you ever end up buying a different air fryer? I know plenty of people who have gone from a basket style to a toaster oven style, but not the other way around because they’d lose so many features. I recently upgraded from a basket style to a Ninja toaster oven model (I used this fantastic [brand and model database](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Y4PR6GCz-Lk5mWX1LUzo-3kChRBv302vSv5HZFB5K1c/edit) to help narrow things down). I agree with you that the “air frying” feature isn’t quite the same, but the glass door helps me monitor things and make sure they don’t get too toasty/crispy

I reluctantly got the Ninja Air Fryer that's kinda shaped like a toaster oven. I thought it would just be a waste of money, but we use it at least once a day and have had it for about a year or so. It preheats in like 30 seconds so you dont have to turn it on like an oven and come back in 15 minutes to actually cook something. Our model has toast, broil, bake, and other options so it eliminates the need for a toaster and takes place of the oven most of the time. ADHD tip: buy extra pans so you dont have to worry about cleaning one specific pan to cook.

I upgraded to the flip from a basket style air fryer. So I have both. I tend to use the Flip more than the basket style. The tray makes doing four chicken breasts fast and easy. But I do note it takes longer in the flip so,it’s hard to take on a new recipe without monitoring everything.

Ninja Foodi Flip. It's pretty big but also pretty flat (made specifically to fit a whole frozen pizza) but you can flip it upright when you're not using it. Had mine for like four years and no problems

The Ninja flip style air fryers are great for baking, toasting, roasting, air frying, dehydrating, and more. Takes up a bit of counter space but the flip up feature saves some space when not in use and the size is great for heating up pizzas. Why get an air fryer if you’re not going to fry things with it?
