"you can’t put things in it that are not relatively flat."
"I HAAATE how short it is, you have like a 3in. height limit for anything you want to cook lol ... I mean really if whatever I'm cooking is even 2 inches tall, I feel like it'll be too close to the coils at the top and it'll burn 😅 ... I used to eat a lot of frozen stuffed chicken breasts and I think those would be too tall and get burned, especially being in there for like 30+ minutes that close to the burners. or this one time when I wanted to air fry some fat ass enchiladas I had cooked the day before, those things were chuuunky! Or toasting up some french bread for sandwiches!"
"The main issue (which is absolutely critical imo) is that they never have room to cook things that are tall. Whole wings, chicken legs, skin in thighs, etc. will never work properly."

"the inside is impossible to clean well. ... The walls are the part I'm mostly talking about. I think it's inevitable it will be dirty with baked on oil/grease."
"You can’t clean the damn thing either."
"My only gripe with the Ninja Foodie we have (the one that flips up) is something dripped onto the lower heating elements and it is impossible to clean."

"Does a poor job of air frying. ... Does not get things crispy."
"every other feature was mediocre. ... Especially the air fryer mode. ... I’m back to making quick, crispy AIR FRIED stuff again."
"Additionally they often have the burner on the bottom, which means there is a drip tray, which causes all kinds of inconveniences and makes it significantly harder to get stuff crispy."
I got the Ninja sp101 on a black Friday sale for around 100$ about 2.5 years ago and its great. I probably use it 6 times a week.
r/Cooking • [ Removed by moderator ] ->I like the one I have cause it's not the traditional basket type air fryer. It's more like an oven + air fryer so you can put stuff in you can't put in the other kind. Plus you can bake, broil, etc. The whole thing is metal and the baking tray is high carbon steel. I plan to get a bigger model later this year.
r/IndianFood • Are there any good non-teflon air fryer available in India? ->I live in Canada so I have this specific model. I got this cause it's more compact and longer and wider than it is taller. Now I'm getting it's bigger brother. Its big enough that I can make a whole pizza in this. It has a tray for baking and a basket for frying. There are more models like this like the kalorik. I often see Chinese made ones with a stamp of a big brand so I know for sure there are many like this. You can also find models that combine a microwave too. My old microwave in India had a convection oven feature. An air fryer is nothing more than a convection oven (an oven with a fan inside it) so it doesn't need to be as complicated as it is. Cheap models without touch controls and dials work the exact same inside as ones with physical controls and dials. And they've existed since forever but now you see them being labeled as an air fryer instead of a convection oven. https://www.ninjakitchen.ca/products/ninja-foodi-8-in-1-digital-air-fry-oven-zidSP101C?recrawl=2024-05-14-09-05&recrawl=2024-05-14-09-05&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22715945478&gbraid=0AAAAAoVfVHWudc7TsnbMH4HYwt7PwHsQ_&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn8XFBhCxARIsAMyH8BtPW87p7Na5LjjRD-6EBBJASEb-uHp6OfFlEzxxY3Liy8BUo82fVbgaArK9EALw_wcB
r/IndianFood • Are there any good non-teflon air fryer available in India? ->I have one of the Ninja units that is a bunch of things. Mine is an older model than this, but it is awesome. r/GoRVing • air fryer size recommendations ->Not very loud at all. There is a fan that runs obviously but it is not loud.
r/GoRVing • air fryer size recommendations ->It bakes a pizza! It toasts your bagels! It air fries your fries! It will broil your steaks! And I did not expect it to live long through the somewhat tumultuous RV life, but it is surviving.
r/GoRVing • air fryer size recommendations ->I have the Ninja Digital 8-in-1 and it changed my life! It can do everything a basket friar does and more. Generally it cooks anything an oven can cook about 30% faster than the box time too. It's pretty big but you can lose the toaster if you have one since it does that as well. It comes with a basket that's kind of a bitch to clean but you can use your own quarter baking sheets with a wire rack if you like. The only 3 complaints I have is one, the size. Thankfully it's on a swivel and can be positioned vertically. Two, the inside is impossible to clean well. And three, it can get pretty loud when you're air frying at high tempatures for a long period of time.
r/airfryer • Pros cons about the oven style airfryer? ->Depends how lazy I am. I usually use my own pan and clean it with every use. You can use little tiny pans to make it easier if it's a small item. I don't clean the basket piece as much as I should. It has some really baked on char on some parts that's not really worth the fuss. The actual inside has sheet on the bottom that collects crumbs I'll pull out every few months. The walls are the part I'm mostly talking about. I think it's inevitable it will be dirty with baked on oil/grease. Long story short you're not actually cleaning it with every use but you should clean the pan you're using. No matter what I would choose this air fryer over a basket fryer in every scenerio. Reheated pizza to fresh in 3 minutes and being able to make +12 crispy Buffalo wings will wing any argument!
r/airfryer • Pros cons about the oven style airfryer? ->I use the quarter sheets recommended by America's Test Kitchen by Nordic Ware for my quarter sheets. My 1/8 sheets are some generic cheap buy from the grocery store. I haven't had a problem with either. I haven't used foil, the direction specifically says not to so I'm not risking it. I believe the one I have is the Ninja sp101 digital 8-in-1 flip oven with fry basket
r/airfryer • Pros cons about the oven style airfryer? ->Personally I wouldn't want a pressure cooker to do anything other than pressure cook. I love my instapot. I would recommend a Ninja Foodi Digital airfry oven though. It replaces the toaster and airfryer plus many other settings. Its big enough where it's mostly replaced my oven all together. It tends to cook things about 30% faster than an oven without heating the house up.
r/PressureCooking • Instant Pot vs Ninja Foodi vs Separate Air Fryer: Best for Pressure Cooking (Mostly) and Air Frying (Sometimes)? ->I bought one with all metal components and I'm in love. I held out on an air fryer for years but this thing is magic.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Air fryer… yay or nay? ->The ninja air fryer and toaster oven 8 in 1. It seemed like every air fryer I looked at had some people complaining about something, so I chose from what was available at my local Costco since they make returns so easy.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Air fryer… yay or nay? ->Here's a flip up toaster oven air fryer that takes up less space than a normal air fryer! I bought one and 6 months in i am still happy with it! https://a.co/d/2sgx80L But only because i read the reviews and took their advice. Dm me if you want my advice! These are essential https://a.co/d/h4JYLDL
r/airfryer • Air fryer vs Toaster Oven Air Fryer ->I have had a Ninja SP201 for three years and have had no problem with the glass. I will say that I just bought a small basket-type air fryer because I find that the air fryer function on the Ninja is not really as good as a basket-type model, and I really find myself using it more as an oven and broiler. The max temp on it is 450° for all functions, so I don’t think there is a temperature difference in the way I use it, and I basically use it in place of my actual oven, so it get a lot of use. I just make sure it has totally cooled before flipping it up.
r/airfryer • Any flip type air fryer without a glass door? ->I’ve been using a Ninja SP101 for a couple years and it’s great. Looks like the newest version is the SP151.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Airfryer to Buy Right Now? ->The [Breville](https://amzn.to/4linlKH) is absolutely amazing. The difference between the breville and other air fryer is the consistency of temperature (kind of like a weber grill vs a charbroil). When you set 350, you get 350. The one downside: the breville often has this high pitched electronic noise when off, but plugged in. You have to be within a few feet to notice it. Unfortunately, I notice it a lot, so generally unplug it. Second what other commentor said - when Teflon hits 475, it starts off-gassing toxic fumes. You do not want that. Have also had the [ninja flippy one](https://amzn.to/4kwvtpN) and while it runs slightly hot (just cause elements are so close to the food), it is one of the only air fryer that has a completely stainless interior. So if toxic-ness is a concern, check that out.
r/airfryer • Cuisinart Air Fryer vs Breville Smart Oven / Compact ->Never had basket style. Ninja SP101 for past 3 years, Cuisinart before that. Use it 80%, regular oven 20%. Makes great toast, and air frys even better. Takes less than 30 seconds to preheat. You can see what you're cooking, so easy not to burn something. 13"x13" of space (pizza!) Can open front and bottom, easy to clean. Thinking upgrading to the double 201.
r/airfryer • Thoughts on the toaster oven style air fryer? ->I like my Ninja Foodi (SP101) toaster oven. Seems more practical. It's about 8 quarts.
r/airfryer • When choosing an air fryer, which capacity are you more likely to choose? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
