"I think we have the ninja foodie 10 in 1 oven thing and we've only used our real oven like twice since we got it and that was entirely because the pizza was too big. ... There's something great about being like "yes, cook my burrito at 400 for 29 minutes and then shut off" that makes it so useful. Well setup food and not worry at all about it being done because it always is. ... But really being able to setup the oven and just let the timer handle it is the bees knees."
"I haven't baked bread-bread but I've baked tons of quick breads and cookies and muffins. ... I just baked croissants."
"It's my toaster, my oven (fits a frozen pizza), and my air fryer"

"There's even a thermometer and a setting system to get the internal temp to a preferred temp. "Is that chicken juicy or raw? Turns out it's juicy since internal temp hit 180.""
"poke some holes in a potato and toss it in the microwave for 7 minutes then roll in a little oil and salt then 8 minutes in the air fryer (flip halfway) and it’s better than a restaurant baked potato."

"It's been such a help and great with limited counter space in our small apartment."
"mine folds up to the wall so it takes up a lot less counter space when not in use"

"Our Ninja 10 in 1 had lasted 5 years without issues."
"We've been using it and not taking proper care of it since it first came out. Some of the writing came off the buttons but it's obvious what they do after you press them lol."

"The one single con is just because a roast or bird CAN fit doesn't mean it SHOULD fit. ... If the fan is running and fatty meat is too close to the element you can get smoke from the fat. ... So only a small family roast, no holiday roasts or turkeys."

"Huge footprint on the table."
Remember that "air fryer" is the worst possible name for a countertop convection oven, and they make a lot more sense. We use [ours](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BXX69K4?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1) almost every day.
We have the Ninja dt201 and we LOVE IT. We've been using it and not taking proper care of it since it first came out. Some of the writing came off the buttons but it's obvious what they do after you press them lol. It's not that easy to clean. And if you aren't careful you can get food in the buttons. But it's awesome. We keep one of the included trays on the bottom shelf to catch drips which helps keep it cleaner
I have a Ninja too. I think its DT201. Got a great price like 3 years ago when it was on sale at Kohls and they used to accept coupons for named brands I think they only come with one basket. I did buy a second one but its not OEM and I had to bend the handle a bit to make it work. Did you buy a second one from Ninja ? I've always wanted to try a dedicated air fryer though
I've had my Ninja DT251 Foodi 10-in-1 Smart XL Air Fry Oven since Feb 2021 and its been amazing. The only thing that has failed was the integrated thermometer but I can connect any probe to that as long as it has the headphone jack type connector. We use it nearly every day for toast and the occasional 12" frozen pizza. We really like baking in it as it has a more consistent temp than our big oven. I'm not saying it's BIFL however for a counter top appliance at $320 I'm very happy with it.
Having used both (i transitioned from a basket style to an oven style), the optimal use case varies wildly. My current air fryer in an oven style Ninja 10-in-1 XL Pro. Pros for basket style: Quick meals that need little prep. More accessories you can buy (e.g. silicone mats). Good for 2-3 people at max per usage. Takes less time to preheat due to smaller volume. generates less heat. Smaller table footprint vs oven-style. From my personal knowledge, basket styles cook a little hotter than what's actually programmed. Downsides for basket style: Harder to clean - more nooks and crannies to reach. Also material is usually a very thin metal coated in nonstick surface. Uses less electricity per meal vs an oven type BUT cooks in smaller portions. Cannot cook larger things like whole chicken. Pros for oven style: Trays/racks are much easier to clean. Can cook larger things like a very small turkey. Uses more electricity per operation due to bigger volume, but this can be a blessing if you utilize this to food prep for the rest of the week. It also features a ton of other features compared to a standalone basket air fryer. Easily cooks for a family of 4-5. Amazing for friends gatherings and small parties. Downsides for oven-style: Huge footprint on the table. You can use it to cook a one-person meal but feels like a waste. Takes slightly longer to pre-heat.
I actually find oven style easier to clean if cooking it with the tray/pan, since it's a smooth surface with raised edges.
Yeah ive got the "Ninja Foodi 10-1 Smart XL Airfry Oven" with the trays/racks and I only cook for 2 with it but could definitely do 4. Its like 16"x17"x12". It'll bake, broil, air fry, toast, etc. I love it.
I have a Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 XL Pro Air Fryer. Anyone can chime in if this is relatively low on forever chemicals? It’s an oven style air fryer, glass cover, and stainless steel (insert rows are also stainless steel). The only nonstick part is the removable baking trays which can be replaced by aluminum baking trays (eg Nordic ware). https://www.ninjakitchen.ca/products/ninja-foodi-10-in-1-xl-pro-air-fry-oven-zidDT201C
I agree I have two high end version of each type Dreo Chefmaker for my basket air fry needs (and combi fry) it may not have the space but the power is there. Wont get better chicken from a different one. Ninja DT250 series toaster oven style for my larger items. It 100% doesnt work the same as the basket BUT it does some things SO much better. Each has its use and cooks exclusively different things.
When our airfryer died we were looking at new options, our toaster oven was an unreliable portal to hell that would take 10 mins of things being cold, then the portal would open and burn everything in 30 seconds. it was amazing really. We opted to replace both with a Ninja airfry oven - [https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-DT201-Countertop-Convection-Dehydrate/dp/B08BXX69K4?th=1](https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-DT201-Countertop-Convection-Dehydrate/dp/B08BXX69K4?th=1) While a larger countertop appliance, it has easily become the most used appliance in our kitchen, family of 4 with 1 child. It airfrys well and you can cook for 5 easily. Full sized 9x13 bakeware will fit so long as the pans dont have large protruding handles. Convection baking and roasting work very well. For a quick bake of something in the summer it heats up faster and cools down quicker than the full sized oven. For toasting it is exceptional with separate settings for toast or bagels. The broiler is hotter than the sun on high. For overall use it is a very capable appliance to replace two others you may currently have.
https://www.ninjakitchen.com/products/ninja-prestige-smart-xl-air-fryer-countertop-oven-zidDT501 This is the one I use. I bake sandwiches loaves in tin, banana breads, bagels, focaccia, pizzas, dinner rolls, cookies, and etc. I use this as my main baking oven. However you might have to decrease the temp by 25f or play around with times and temperatures with some recipes since it’s a convection oven. It only goes up to 450F too but that’s not problematic for my uses. It’s quite spacious but I’m not sure if it’s spacious enough for the Dutch oven you have. Maybe two sandwich loaf tins on top of each other might fit; but I haven’t tried that.
