I got a Ninja 11 in 1. It’s does a bunch of stuff including air frying, pressure, cooking, slow cooking etc in general it’s great and I get good results with it but it’s huge. I’d definitely look at something like this if I were you and you’re open to getting rid of some kitchen gadgets to combine into one. That being said I use the pressure cooker and slow cooker bits a bunch and only dabble in air frying as an alternative to deep frying and for speeding up roasting things. Most common things in the air fryer are, home made fries, wings, quick roast potatoes, home made chicken tenders and breaded fish fillets I should really expand the repertoire here but it’s quick and to some extent fire and forget for these basics
You’re relative sounds like a tool. It’s a nice product, but it’s very weird and rude to me, for someone to just buy an appliance for your home. It’s expensive enough that you feel obligated to keep it, but many people don’t have room for that type of thing. It’s just weird, like someone coming into your house and just hanging a large picture on your wall. As for the appliance itself, it can be useful. It’s not a fryer. It’s a high powered convection oven. It does a very good job of oven things, but faster. It’s a decent replacement for a toaster oven, if it’s shaped that way. We have a ninja foodi with a pressure cooker attachment. It’s good, but we probably under utilize it. It’s also a little small. So it’s sometimes awkward to get everything in. You aren’t cooking for a crowd with then either. It’s good for a couple of people, though. It does a great job in reheating things that don’t typically reheat well. Pizza, fried foods, etc.
Yes and no. It’s basically a tiny convection oven. It isn’t gonna be close to as good as fried. Reheating things, it does great. I think it actually does the second or third best hotdog outside of charcoal grilling and does it fast. It’ll get crispy and charred. Ours is a ninja foodie, which doubles as a pressure cooker. I’ve done small bone in hams. 3min a pound after it comes to pressure, then switch to the air fryer lid and toss on a glaze. Comes out great. Size is a concern for things like that. Some people actually take the bowl to the store, so I hear. If you’re gonna get one, pick one with multiple functions and make sure it’s something you’ll actually use semi-regular.
I use my ninja foodi (pressure cooker + air fryer ) almost daily, makes incredibly delicious meals and delivers in half the time or less of traditional cooking methods.
My foodi tendercrisp is 8 years old and I use it several times a week as more than just an air fryer. Convection ovens with air fry modes are very lackluster.
Decent for the price with okay warranties. I have a Ninja Foodi air fryer/pressure cooker/slow cooker/all in one jawn that sits on my counter and get's used like 3 times a week minimum. It's one of my favorite appliances in my kitchen because I primarily use it as an air fryer but it can also be a second slow cooker for when I'm making a huge meal. The steamer function on it is pretty tight as well, boa buns come out perfect from it. The coffee makers are also decent but I wouldn't use them for high end things like espresso. A simple ninja drip coffee machine will be just fine though. Blenders again are decent but ill not outperform something like a Vitamix or more high end. Knives? The knife block is okay but I hate pull through sharpening systems and am generally against buying sets as a whole. You only need a few good knives. Generally Ninja makes decent things that will do the thing they are advertised to do. They won't do them exceptionally well as compared to products that specialize in said task but they aren't poor quality items either.
I love mine and use it daily. I even bought a ninja combi because I wanted more options lol. I like the ninja foodi because it's also a pressure cooker, and makes perfect rice and hard boiled eggs. I use it for bagels/waffles/toast daily, and usually reheat things in it. If you make frozen foods like fries and chicken nugs, it's good for that, and if you like roasted veggies, it's perfect for that too. My oven has an air fry function, but it doesn't work as well as a standalone one.
