"not worth it for the sheer size of the Foodi. It's a beast and very heavy. ... Yeah this is the same reason I don't really use my Foodi."
"that thing is so bulky and sits in the cabinet below the counter, I want to keep keep one on the counter…."

I have the ninja foodi pot and I love it. Can’t beat a great air fryer and a pressure cooker in one, plus all the other features. They discontinued them but places like Walmart still have some. I’ve used mine at least once a day if not 2 or 3 for 4 years. I love it so much I bought a backup last week, I don’t want to not have it.
r/airfryer • Looking for recommendations on a new air fryer. ->The fans will eventually wear out, but the leader of the pack is definitely ninja. I’d go with the new dual side by side, but if you want a machine the will do more, find a ninja foodi pot. Amazon ones are better quality than the Walmart ones. They discontinued the pressure cooker/air fryer but I love mine.
r/BuyItForLife • I am looking for a BIFL air fryer. Budget is $500 or less. What are some of your most recommendable suggestions? ->I have the same one, since ninja discontinued anything with a pressure option, I bought a second as a backup. I use it everyday. Counldnt recommend it more.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Our oven went out at the beginning of covid so I got one to make it through until we could get a new one. It was over a year until we got one. I've hardly used it as I use the ninja every day. It's just hubs and I also, kids are grown. It's just so convenient. I can cook a roast from froze in an hour, or throw in some muffins for 10 minutes without heating up the house. Pork steaks are so good air fried, and hubs does have to start the grill. Walmart still has some, but they aren't as heavy duty as my old one. Amazon has a few in the renewed section too. That's where I got my first one.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Walmart still has the ninja foodi/pressure cooker combo. They’ve been discontinued but it’s still a solid device. We’ve cook in it everyday, multiple times a day, for 4 years. I have two other ninja air fryers and the combo is still my go to and most used. I bought a second one today as a backup since they’re not going to make them anymore, I don’t want to be without it. I did pick up the stainless steel replacement bowl a while ago (not oem) and I like it more than the original bowl.
r/airfryer • Best Air Fryer to Buy Right Now Cometh the 2025? ->Family of 4, and I have a ninja foodi 9 in 1... Basically looks like a large toaster oven. Our boss bought one for the staff lunch room, and I was sold the day a coworker baked a frozen pie for us. The size and shape make it really versatile. We often throw hash brown patties or several slices of toast in it; we use it for fries or onion rings multiple times a week, and have also used it for roasting potatoes, asparagus, and more. I haven't tried the dehydrate setting yet but everything I have tried, it works.
r/airfryer • HELP- what is the best air fryer for a family of 4? ->I’ve use a Insta Pot 2 quart air fryer. It worked great for me for 5 years. I just replaced with a 5 quart Ninja. Besides being larger which is no biggie cause it’s just me, I have problems with stuff blowing around in the Ninja which wasn’t an issue with my Instant Pot AF. Also, the old Insta Pot AF had a roast option. I noticed most but not all portable models, no matter the brand, replaced the bake option with dehydrator. Perhaps there are folks who do dehydrate, but I personally don’t know anyone interested in such a feature. I’m thought about gifting the Ninja and going back to a Insta Pot AF EXCEPT the model Ninja I have has a ceramic coating which I love and is supposedly healthier than Teflon.
r/airfryer • Latest 2.2qt Mainstays Air Fryer ->I have the Foodi, the one that doesn't need a separate lid. I've had it for around 3 years I think. It's a big chonky machine, but I love it and recommend it to everyone. I use it more than the hob at this point! The modes I use the most are air frying, pressure cooking, sear/saute and bake. The stream to air fry mode is also great for making a whole chicken! My boyfriend has been using it when at my place and likes it so much he's going to replace the Instant Pot he has at his place with a Foodi because he wants an air fryer and it's much nicer to have it all in one. The one downside it has compared to a normal air fryer is that the basket is not very big, and it's also quite noisy compared to dedicated air fryers. Personally, the trade off is worth it for me. Happy to answer any more specific questions!
r/PressureCooking • Instant Pot vs Ninja Foodi vs Separate Air Fryer: Best for Pressure Cooking (Mostly) and Air Frying (Sometimes)? ->We have the Ninja Foodi 9 in 1 that looks almost like a pizza oven and then folds up vertically to open up counter space. I love it. It fits a frozen pizza nicely. Ours is probably 2 years old, and we use it at least weekly, if not more often. I think they consider the new version of it as part of their "oven" line-up. It definitely has replaced us using our oven for small batches, especially with the fact that it heats up so fast because it's not huge.
r/BuyItForLife • Non-toxic air fryer, recommendations? Please share your favorites ->We have one too. We use it pretty much on daily basis.
r/AussieFrugal • Airfryer oven/ toaster oven single person ->I haven't done a steak from frozen yet. However I love my NINJA foodi for frozen things. It has a pressure cooker function. I can take a frozen chicken from freezer to table in under an hour. It's about 15 minutes in the pressure to thaw and then roast function to finish. I was woried with steak it might be tough.
r/keto • Air fryer steak from frozen to tender delicious perfection in under 20 minutes ->Ninja foodi, air fryer, toaster over all in one. We use this almost every day at home. Works great in the camper too.
r/GoRVing • air fryer size recommendations ->yeah this don't go cheap as you will inevitably replace it when it breaks in 9 months. the foodi is good quality and you will find yourself using the other functions
r/AussieFrugal • Airfryer oven/ toaster oven single person ->If you’re in North America, there are air fryers that purport to run multiple baskets at the same time (ie: Ninja Dual). Our home power supply will not run both baskets at the same time at full heat; the user’s guide says you have to allow almost double the time if you want to use both baskets at once as the temperature won’t reach full heat. Evidently they do work at full speed in the UK. That being said… I also have a Ninja Foodi multicooker that does the whole slow cooker/pressure cooker/ air fryer thing in one unit. I’ve had four or five air fryers and that’s the one I’ve used the most because the multiple functions are useful for me. For just a dedicated air fryer, make sure it has enough physical space to cook the amount and kind of food you want. For example, french fries are best cooked in one layer. Many air fryers are not sized to cook enough fries to feed four people. Whichever air fryer you choose, you’ll need to peek in and toss/shake/shift your food two or three times during the cooking to get everything to cook evenly, so ensure it’s a convenient size, weight etc.
