Avance Collection Airfryer XL (HD9240/34)

First gen Philips xl, still works. Don't overthink it, look at the capacity, ease of use, and go. Larger is better imho.

Ich habe auch einen Airfryer von Philips. Man sieht sogar heute noch auf manchen Produkten die silhouetten von dem Airfryer auf Zeitangaben von AirFryer produkten. Auch bei McCain Pommes steht drauf: Funktioniert am besten mit dem Philips Airfryer XL. Pommes werden echt extrem gut darin. Bin als Kind mit einer Fettfriteuse aufgewachsen und weiß wovon ich spreche. Meine Frau hatte sich dann eine mit 2 Kammern eingebildet. Wir haben uns dann erst die von Philips geholt mit 2 Kammern und waren extrem entäuscht. Pommes waren damit nicht möglich gut zu machen. Wir haben die dann zurückgeschickt und auch eine teure Ninja gekauft, weil hier auch höhere Temperaturen möglich waren, aber sind genauso entäuscht gewesen wie bei der Philips. Wenn man sich die Philips mal genau ansieht, sieht man das rundherum die heiße luft am Korb vorbei nach unten kommt und von unten dann ach oben gepustet wird, durch ein grobmaschiges Gitter. Dadurch werden die Sachen echt gut gleichmäßig durch. Wohingegend beim Ninja z.b. das Gitter unten sehr geschlossen ist, fast keine luft nach unten kommt und der abstand auch sehr klein ist, zweischen sachen die auf dem gitter liegen und gehäuseboden. Wir haben uns dann wieder dafür entschlossen eine alte Philips zu besorgen und sind extrem zufrieden damit. Pommes werden extrem Knusprig. Früher hab ich zu den Pommes ein Löffel Öl dazugegeben für den geschmack. Aber heute eher nicht und ich nehme die McCain 123 Pommes.

I recommend making sure it has physical buttons or knobs. I have a Phillips and it's so annoying using the touch screen style buttons.

Do you miss the height at all? Not that I usually cook a whole chicken in an air fryer since I like my large oven method very much. But I keep thinking “What if I want to?” I like the Typhur products a lot and the Dome seems so tempting. Currently I have a Philips XL and XXL after trying lots of cheaper ones and disliking them.

Philips XL neki imam, bacam ga u mašinu za sude redovno, ne pazim ga, i dalje radi i ok je. Nije se ni oštetilo ništa unutra. Nekih modova i ima, ali ćeš svakako koristiti istih par ili čak jedan.

I honestly really do like my air fryer. It’s WAY faster than the oven and consumes less. I also somehow find it easier to clean it. I used it a lot for my meal prep as I do so much roasted veggies for pasta sauces, soups, rice dishes. I have a basic Philips XL (a big one, for a LOT of veggies) but no extra settings, they are not really needed. I also use it for toasties, reheating bread products or do fast egg dishes. I would go for a basic airfryer that’s a XL/XXL. You don’t need fancy programmes (they all do one thing: fan oven). You can also cook casseroles and lasagne in it
