I switched for a Philips serie 7000 HD9880, it’s a game changer, very impressive how it grills both side the bottom and the top, no need to turn, just mix if they overlap. And really really fast. No need to preheat. The removable grill makes cleaning easy. Automatic modes are also very efficient. And don’t forget the included temperature probe, awesome!

I bought a Philips XXL and the performance was not good. took awhile to heat up, didn't achieve true temperature.

I do! for "normal" type air fryers I purchased Ninja, Philips, and Instant, and the Instant performed the best of the lot. Specifically, I bought the Instant Vortex ClearCook (the one with the window), which I liked so much I bought two! Some people prefer the older Instant Vortex (without the window), but the window lets me see the food cooking which is helpful. I'm also experimenting with a Typhur Dome (costs substantially more), but I want to use it more before I form thoughts about it. However, the Instant Vortex is fantastic. I used it last night and it cooked a bunch of veggies to perfection! (By comparison, the Philips didn't perform as well in terms of actual cooking, and the nonstick surface on the Ninja started to flake off almost immediately).

The Philips XXL is the only one I know that has a different kind of non-stick. Even compared to their other airfryers.

I have had a Philips XXL for over 5 years. It’s been good but not big enough. We recently got the Breville smart oven airfare pro. So far we are liking it. We are keeping the Philips too. But the Breville has worked really nice. In fact we need to adjust times from how we did things in the Philips

Love the Philips XL and XXL. So much that I have both. I’ve been through lots of air fryers and brands and none have worked nearly as well as the Philips. Something about that wire basket design as well. And plenty of accessories.

I have the Philips xxl or whatever the biggest version is and my sis has a slightly cheaper ninja one - I can tell the Philips seems to cook good better overall. It's slightly slower, but good just comes out better so i guess there's something to it.  Will you miss out of you don't get the top of range? Probably not.

The Phillips XXL is the most popular one where I live. I have one myself and I love it.

Really? We bought one & it got so annoying we stopped using it. It was fine on 'one basket' but as soon as we put both baskets to use it was sooooo slow to cook. It's now stashed in the garage, replaced with a Phillips XXL.

I upgraded my Philips XL to Philips XXL last year and I couldn't be happier with the larger capacity. I use it more often. If I have to spend more time batch cooking with a smaller capacity fryer, I might as well use my conventional oven with the convection function turned on.

r/airfryer • Noob to air frying, purchased the Ninja Dual Zone and it’s nice, but feeling like we need more capacity for our big fam. Return and get Breville Smart Oven? ->
