A 6 qt should do well for 2 people. I have an 8 qt Power XL vortex, and 4 bone in, skin on thighs fit perfectly. I got it on sale for $60? maybe Kohls coupons, lol), but the regular price is about $90 not on sale. So the 6 qt should be perfect for you, and probably $10-20 less. We loved it so much, we just bought a new stove, and made sure it had air fry capability, however it does seem to be a little different (more space to heat up, and we need to check the calibration) but my second attempt at chicken thighs last night was much better. Good luck, hope you find one you like, and I am a proponent of the parchment liners, makes clean up a breeze, and no they don't defeat the AF's purpose, I get beautiful crispy skin and fully cooked chicken with or without them, but the easy clean does it for me!

Oh they last, I just use them so much. Well, my Gowise didn't last long and then I went to a Vortex XL. I had that one for years. I've had the Cosori Turboblaze about two years and love it. All the air fryers I've had except the GoWise worked very well. I've been air frying since 2016. I think they're worth it.

IMHO after a lot of research I felt the basket style air fryer was the easiest to clean and use. Even though you might think a small one will work, bigger is better. You can make personal size 8" pizza in less than 10 minutes using pre-made pizza crusts. Any of the major brands will work well. Years ago my first air fryer was a cheapie from Target. Then I got a Vortex XL, and now I have a Turbo Blaze. For basic foods they all cooked the same.

I've had the same PowerXL for 7 years and I put the whole basket in the dishwasher after I use it. 🙃

Seconded. Most food airfryer cooking instructions say to cook in a single layer, and if you do a larger quantity of something you have to shake the food and it takes longer. I went from a PowerXL to a Ninja double basket 10qt and sometimes it even feels too small if you make two things.

I’ve owned a Ninja, Gourmia and a PowerXL. They’re all built like crap and last a little over warranty when used regularly. Hopefully there’s a decent one out there.

Had a PowerXL one that worked great for about 5 years of near daily use before it bit the dust last year. Got a Ninja Foodi to replace it and have been pretty happy with it. I really like that it folds away when not using it to save on counter space and that its big enough to make a meal for the whole family.
