Yep, the Tefal ones are the most popular here in Ukraine. I've never seen Cosori's or Instant Pots sold here en-masse and those sellers who import them typically have a pretty considerable markup.

Having been an air-fryer afficianado since the first Tefal AcriFry in 2007 I've owned, and purchased for other people an assortment of air fryer models over the years. I'm currently running two Tefal air fryers; a Tefal Easy Fry Mega and a Tefal Easy Fry Pizza XL. The first is narrow but deep and the second wide but shallow. Maximum flexibility. To be honest if you're going for a conventional drawer style air fryer, you're not going to get a BIFL model from anyone, but depending on brand you can get BIF-long-time. If you're careful about not using metal utensils or using scouring pads (even plastic ones) to clean in the drawers non-stick coating is so advanced these days that isn't going to be the issue. I've had models that I ran for a decade where the non-stick surface still looks like new because I was sensible about caring for them properly. It tends to be electronics, buttons & fans that fail these days. But designs have gotten simpler. Think about how the brand supports the product after sales. The reason I buy Tefal ones predominantly is because of their after sales support. My original 2007 ActiFry is actually still in use with a family member. Having had: * The lid replaced because it broke when the whole machine was dropped (£16). * The motor gave up when it was around 10 years old (saw daily action over that time) - a new one cost £10 at the time. * New filter(s) and filter grate (£3, accidentally thrown away). * New paddle (snapped at around 13 years old, £8). * New "basket" (£15) when the non-stick got wrecked because it was put to soak in a sink with a load of metal cutlery dumped in it, then rubbed all over while the dishes were done. All of these parts were available from Tefal themselves. I expect they're a little more expensive now but they're all still purchasable now. That air fryer will probably outlive me. If I was buying an air fryer that might potentially be BIFL, it would almost certainly be a tabletop "toaster-oven" style (I'm really not sure if we actually call them that in the UK). I'd personally buy a Sage model as I know some people who have them and don't have a bad word to say, plus I've read up on it anyway and have a degree of confidence. My alternative choice would be a Cuisinart as I have several Cuisinart applicances and find them well supported in the after sales market, but regardless I find their gear tank-like. My toasted sandwich maker is 25 years old. Cuisinart is only my alternative choice because I'd have to put it somewhere different than where I can put a Sage as a Cuisinart is too tall to go there and it'd cause me a headache to fit it somewhere else.

r/CookingBest air fryer which one is better vs for real weeknight cooking, and what’s actually worth it long term?

I have a T-Fal single basket and it's great. Can cook so many different things, potatoes and other vegetables, fish, shrimp, meats, reheating pizza and toasting bagels.

A paid 80. A few years ago for a T-fal that did a lot less.

r/airfryerIs there a 'worst' air fryer and what would make it such? I think that even the 'worst' and cheapest does the job to a satisfactory level

I bought one from Costco that somehow just didn't work. Everything came out soggy. I have no idea how they accomplished this. I went back to my trusty T-Fal. The worst thing about the Costco beast was that it haunted. It would wake up and start making noises like someone was mashing the keypad. It woke me up half a dozen times (it was probably a defective keypad. I rarely use the Costco return policy, but this time I did.
