We just switched from Cosori Dual Blaze to a Typhur Dome. Mainly because the dome is ceramic rather than non-stick. The amount of cooking area is fantastic. It’s super quiet and even without the bottom element some foods will start browning on the underneath. Plus it goes up to 450. Loving it. Only downside is the lack of depth.

So, I started with one of these dual basket fryers a few months ago. What I noticed was that I almost always ended up using both baskets because they’re deep but not wide, and since you want one layer for maximum crispiness, I needed both baskets to get in all my food without stacking. Because I was using both baskets all the time, it cooked significantly slower - the dual basket Ninjas only run at full power if you are using one basket. I realized pretty quickly that I’m not going to cook whole chickens or other items that require a lot of vertical room - I have nice convection double ovens for that - so the deep baskets were pointless. What I needed was a big, wide, flat air fryer, so I got the Typhur Dome and have been very happy.

If you can afford it, you should get the Typhur Dome. It’s expensive, but as far as I can tell, it’s the only air fryer that has figured out that having more flat surface area is ideal. I don’t want to be able to cook a chicken - I don’t want vertical. I want more single layer.

I've bought several air fryers in the last 10 years from sub-$100 basket type to the $600 Breville Air Fryer Pro. The best one I've used so far is the Typhur Dome. I'm not a big fan of the Breville Air Fryer Pro. I don't think it's worth the price. It's a good replacement for a full size oven and toaster but it's not a great air fryer. The fan is loud in air fry mode and because of the design and the large capacity, it doesn't move air around as well as basket style air fryers. If you plan to use it often, there are issues with build quality. The convection fan, control panel and door spring tend to fail prematurely.

The Typhur Dome has a large 12" basket which allows you to cook more food or spread food out to allow for better air circulation and faster cooking. The baskets have non-stick ceramic coating so they're easy to clean. There's also a self-cleaning mode to burn off grease and build up on the cooking element and cooking cavity. The air fryer is also very quite. I can barely hear it when it's working. It's much nicer to use compared to the Breville and other air fryers which can be annoyingly loud. The only downside to the Typhur Dome is it can't accommodate food taller than 2".

2" is actually not that bad. I don't eat meat so I wouldn't know what type of meat cuts would fit. I would say chicken (breast, wings, legs, thighs), pork chops, steaks are all fine. I mainly use it to roast/air fry vegetables like potatoes, eggplant, zucchini etc. and the large surface area is perfect.

Look up brand called Typhur on Amazon. Not probably too well known but by far best air fryer I’ve ever owned. It feels and seems like it was built by Apple. It gets hotter than other brands and the best part has a much wider cooking surface so not to stack food. Most air fryers not wide enough so food takes longer and results not great. They are expensive but different times of year good sales like Black Friday or prime day or other random times. They are solid like a tank and also much quieter than cheap air fryers. Also they are not tall so easily fits under cabinets. Finally come with a 3 year warranty. Very happy with ours and I’m quite picky with appliances.

You're definitely right. I just ordered the Typhur Dome because of your comment. I've had way too many air fryers that I've had to trash because of grease build up, and while the Dome is expensive, its on sale right now (plus an additional 10% off with the google10 code) and grease buildup should not be a problem with this unit.
