Ninja seems to have a good strong fan system that circulates the air well. I prefer two baskets that have coordinated cooking.

We went back and forth on one for years... finally bought the Ninja Foodie one that doubles as 7 other tools (oven, toaster etc) and we use it EVERY day. The reheat feature is crazy good and the flat design is the basket means it's actual better at being a fryer than the deep basket ones. Get one, best thing in our kitchen beside old cast iron pans!

Can anyone who has this speak to how difficult it is to clean? I have a similar toaster oven that's larger, but the drip tray and heating elements are a PITA to clean and it's got more space than this one.

I picked up the foil trick way too late on my current one, which is partially why I want to replace it. Buuut my current one still works fine, and I'm not quite convinced the space savings is enough to justify a new one.

Pizza is absolutely what screwed w/ the heating elements on my current one. If they were more easily accessible, it would perhaps be tolerable, but they're not.

Yep! I unfortunately didn't realize how quickly that stuff seems to meld to the racks/tray until too late. In attempts to clean it, the coating on those items started flaking, and now they're just a complete mess, which is partially why I want something new to start over so that I can "do it right."

So I have two air fryers. Both are ninjas. One is single and one is dual. I do agree the single is better. It's really convenient to have three air fryers when making something like air fryer chicken, roasted veggies & fresh french fries. I can make all three at the same time and eat at the same time. Super convenient. Also if making wontons and spring rolls. I have a pretty busy job, a young child & a husband who doesn't cook. So for me worth it to have all. I also have enough space in my kitchen.

Given all the research you’ve already done, you’ve probably seen that giant comparison database of air fryers floating around Reddit [here, I bookmarked it](https://www.reddit.com/u/MaterialisticOcelot/s/AuYboNaNB6). It’s super handy if you want to line up the details down to the very last spec. I personally have the Ninja Foodi and really like it, but I wouldn’t really consider it a “budget” pick since it runs close to $200. That said, I do think you get what you pay for with these. I’d be careful about going under $50 on an appliance you expect to last.

Dude I’ve been a skeptic for years and I finally got one the other day, ninja duel basket and it’s absolutely awesome being able to choose 2 different modes or times and temperatures even if just cooking for 1

I actually had to look it up again cause last time I searched for a double zone airfryer that cooks simultaneously, this one was the best among all. Turns out your point is valid but there's a bit of confusion here between stacked dual-basket air fryers and side-by-side dual-zone models. The Ninja DZ550 does not fully cook one basket, stop, then cook the other. Both baskets cook at the same time. Each zone has its own fan and heating element. What happens is power sharing. Since it runs on a standard outlet, the unit manages total wattage, so neither basket is blasting at absolute max constantly but neither basket is ever “off” while the other cooks. Hot air is circulating in both zones the entire time. Also smart Finish can make it look like one basket waits, because the shorter cook is delayed so both finish together. Some vertical designs really do alternate heat between baskets, and agree that defeats the whole cook fast game. If OP wants one giant basket at max temp, that's a fair preference.

Exactly. The extra time is real but it's still noticeably faster than alternating models, so for most people it's a worthwhile tradeoff. Especially if you're cooking two things that need different temps or times, that's where the dual zone really shines.
