We also have AirDoctor and love it. We have owned the Austin Air but just got too expensive!

We have air doctor! But apparently having the ion feature on isn't good for you. But everything else has been great besides that

Air Doctor is the best. I didn’t realize how great it was until recently when our home had a huge leak and we had to have a mold inspector come out before we did remediation. He did air sample tests and they came back clean, despite there being a massive amount of mold inside the walls and a super high ERMI test (which is spores in dust samples). We realized later that they did the air samples right next to where our air doctors were and air doctors filter mold spores. As soon as we removed them, the levels were higher.

AirDoctor was giving out their 5500 for $190 last week for LA residents, they MSRP for $1100, the ran out of that supply but now still have substantial discounts

yeah I picked up two. I saw the arbitrage opportunity but opted out for a variety of reasons, LA needs supply

Vaping smoke has heavy metals in it often. So your best bet would be an air filter with a lot of carbon if you’re concerned about that too. That would be an IQ air or Austin Air, but they’re super expensive. Next best would be Air Doctor because they filter down to 0.003 microns and have a decent amount of carbon. Try to oversize for the room because they are loud on the highest setting

I also have Lyme and have had mold. My doctor has recently told me to get an air doctor as it filters down to 0.003 microns while other filters can only do .01 or .3 It seems like the best one but it is definitely more expensive compared to a brand like winix that’s carried at Costco. To check how clean / healthy a product is I use this website below. These are the 3 air filters I personally have. Most air filters only get down to 0.3 microns; these get down to 0.003 microns, which captures mold - which is my main concern - as well as viruses, bacteria, etc.  AirDoctor IQAir AirOasis I also have a Levoit that I like but doesn't capture as small of stuff as the ones above.

Air doctor and Austin Air. I need the activated charcoal filters with a HEPA filter because of VOCS.

I have 3 Air Doctor air purifiers in my apartment. They are Ultra HEPA, so they get even more stuff than a standard air purifier would.

they've helped my severe allergies, which I'm assuming can play a part in my migraines, but I've had air purifiers since around 2013 or 2014, which is right when I started doing a bunch of different things for my migraines, so I can't say for certain
