I have 6 Alens. 2 x BreatheSmart 75i, 2 x BreatheSmart, a T500, and a Paralda. I like them. They are quiet, the sensors (on the 4 bigger ones) seem to be accurate and ramp up cfm when air quality calls for it. I live in the lightning capital of the world... God's Lightning Rod, FL. I had 2 older ones that got hit and the LEDs went out. It still worked fine, it was just the little LED bulbs that didnt work. They sent me 2 new units with no hassle. The filters are not cheap, but I am happy with how long they last and how they perform. I'd 1000% buy from them again.

I have two Fit50 units - one in the main living space in my house between the living room and kitchen, the other in our bedroom because it’s a large room and our dogs sleep in there with us - and the other four are T500’s, three of which are in my kids bedrooms and the fourth is in the upstairs family room. We live in southern Texas where everyone is allergic to something no matter what time of year, and spring is referred to as “the pollening”. I’ve had generally well-controlled asthma since I was a kid, and allergy tests in 2015 concluded that dog dander was an issue for me. I bought mine when the company wasn’t a name people recognized and they had some great deals on multiple units. Because they’re so reliable, I’d feel entirely comfortable purchasing a refurbished unit, and at the price difference it’s the only way I’d go if I needed another one. The only thing I can’t speak to is their customer service - which is ironically the best reason to invest in them - because I’ve never once had to contact them. I’ve also got four different friends/neighbors nearby who also have pets and allergies and bought them after being in my house, and they all still religiously use theirs. If that’s not enough of a pitch, two of my kids are teen boys and one has had a guinea pig for five years. Between the sour onion funk and guinea pig stank, the only time their rooms smell is when they dare to turn their units off. These things are freaking magical.

I have an Alen BreatheSmart in each big room and an Alen T500 in the smaller rooms. They are basically silent and work amazingly. Plus you can get set up for filter deliveries every 6 months or so.

Not a Dyson. Seriously. Alen, Coway or winix.

Dyson in general is not known for high quality especially for the price they charge. Also their customer service is shit. The other 3 I listed are much better options. You’ll want as much carbon in the filter as possible. Alen VOC for example.

We have an Alen HEPA that we’ve owned for over 7 years. A couple of filter changes but still running like new.
