Again, if Dyson wanted to put a 200 watts max input motor in they would. If they wanted to go for cadr they would. That is not their market. Those same tests show they do clean the air. After owning BISSELL products, several MyAir, air320 air400, they simply do not reach across the room to address and create a bubble of clean air. I found if I have to get another fan to aid a unit that is designed to aid a unit to clean the air and then maintain another unit that adds more maintenance and electricity cost atop another purchase, why do more? Edit: atop neither had both pm2.5 and voc sensors. So the air320’s were reacting to voc’s or the air400 was reacting to pm. Plus a solid standalone indoor air quality monitor with questionable accuracy? Dyson sensor suite offers useful live data if you want to be looking at it all day or truly set and forget. I have done rudimentary testing on the units with pm and vocs and aside from Dyson design flaws I’m happy with their performance. But I mostly own (4)big and quiet’s. I also have two tp02s, a tp07 and an hp07.

We have a bissel air 320 and it makes a huge difference with cooking smoke, or when we light the fireplace and get a little smoke while the draft is forming. I'm of the same question... What makes this worth $100 (or the $260 current price) A fan....not worth $100. A silent fan? Would be worth $100 (we pay that for a ceiling fan). A silent HEPA filter and good fan... Easily worth $200... Add a space heater to that... I could go to $280. But it would have to be very quiet and a good HEPA filter and I don't think it's either of those things.

You should buy an air purifier / air cleaner with a HEPA filter. I use a Bissell Air 320 and run it on low 24/7. I replace the 2 inside filters every 6 months. I've had the unit for approximately 5 years. It cuts down on dust particles, pet dander, airborne allergens and odors. I notice very light dust accumulation after about 30 days or so. Only then do I dust my home. I also change my furnace filters frequently. Hope this helps.
