Yes, an air purifier would definitely help in the bedroom, but it must have one that uses carbon filters, not just HEPA ones. Price wise, since the room is only 121 sq. ft., you can go with a smaller room air purifier, but the most inexpensive ones may not work that well in a smoky room. I would suggest looking at the one below by Blueair. It is on sale, too at the Canada Blueair website. [https://www.blueair.com/products/blue-pure-511i-max-allergenblock-filter](https://www.blueair.com/products/blue-pure-511i-max-allergenblock-filter)
I have the BlueAir Blue Pure 511i Max and they’re great units, but the integration is wonky and available only through HACS. The homebridge plugins haven’t been maintained for several years. The integration I use now It claims it polls the cloud every 5 minutes but the purifiers sure as hell don’t. So I don’t get any live reading of the PM2.5 sensor. I can utilize my smoke room and then 3 hours later it’ll finally register a spike in the PM2.5 sensor in HA… then 3 hours after that a steep drop. Don’t get these if you want accurate HA data and control…. No one has figured out how to control these locally, if that’s even possible….
I’m having trouble deciding between the Coway 350/250 (if anyone knows what the difference between the two is, that would be great as they are the same price!) The other options I was looking into are the Winix brand and the Blueair brand. I do own one Blueair but I feel like it doesn’t do that good of a job :/ if anyone can recommend which is better for particle removal i would greatly appreciate it !!
I have the Blueair 511i Max in the one room and i keep it on the highest level usually. I’m willing to splurge a little more if it’s genuinely worth it I can do up to $500. If the Coway is better quality than the Winix I’d rather go for the Coway. Or would you recommend keeping the blueair and adding one more purifier to the room? I’m leaning towards just getting the Coway 450…
I have a Blueair 511i max for my room which is 11ftlong and about 7ft tall and about 7ft wider does a decent job but I still get back I got for my stuffy nose and the dust which is does quite good at reducing the dust but my nose still feels horrible any suggestions I usually run it on 2-3 speed
If you haven’t tried them, the stainless steel litter boxes really helped the odor problem in our situation. I also use in conjunction with the blue air 511max in a small bedroom.
I just bought a blueair 511i Max because it's supposed to be the quietest and I'm underwhelmed. I bought it for a small living room to keep the air fresh and it seems to create a dusty odor instead? There's also an audible machine whir even on the lowest setting. I'm considering sending it back and trying the Levoit Vital 100 or the Core 300-P instead. I prefer the size/shape of the Core 300-P, but reviews suggest the vital is better with odors. Since you have both, could you speak to the difference in terms of sound and odor control?
