I have an Airmega 400 and BlueAir 7700i. BlueAir has better performance but the filters don’t last long
I’ll have to check for you. I do like it. Between the 2, they keep my indoor AQ pretty decent.
Have a set of BlueAir Health Protects that I have been running for several years. Their app is horrible, but the HACS add on works pretty well. I do have an automation check from time to time they are in the correct mode (e.g night mode, display brightness, etc.). I haven’t seen anyone besides IQAir make what seems to be a superior device (in US).
I have BlueAir in all my rooms. Makes a significant difference for me.
It helps a lot. I bought it due to smoke but I’m happy to get rid of cooking and dog smells. I have one from Blueair.
We love our blueair also. Got a dog a month ago and happy to hear from guests our house doesn’t have a dog smell.
Seconding Blueair! We have a Levoit and a Blueair; while I have nothing bad to say about the Levoit, I personally prefer the Blueair (granted, it was about twice as expensive). We've got two medium-sized dogs, and - aside from the clumps of dog hair under the baseboards - you wouldn't know that we had any pets!
I love my blueair. It's highly rated for the price, and has a cloth sleeve you wrap around the outside and toss in the wash that prefilters out the husky fluff. If your pup is smelly it's probably oily, and needs either more roll in leaves and dirt time or more frequent bathing. A simple rub with a damp cloth frequently, like daily if you're not using soap, will work wonders.
I’ve been using blueair purifier. I have 5 of them a few I’ve owned for over 4 years and I love them.
Sorry, what "air quality problems"? Can't say we've noticed any, with our 3 air purifiers running 24/7 in a one-bedroom apartment... 😉 (Both of us have pollen allergies and one of us has asthma.) That should answer your question. Seriously, buy an air purifier. Once you feel the difference you'll probably end up getting a few more. We've got two of the medium Coway models (Airmega AP-1512HH or 200M) and a smaller BlueAir. They also help with smells -- bathroom, pet, or cooking. Highly recommend the Coways because they: * Are whisper-quiet on all but the highest setting, and can auto-adjust (though we usually leave them on medium because they get loud if they kick into high). * Move a lot of air for their size * Have filters that last way longer than they're rated for (as long as you clean the prefilter) * You can turn the main light on the purifier off for use in a bedroom at night Tip: it's better to get several medium air purifiers and put one in each room or area rather than getting just one big one.
In my experience, my blueair filter and/or levoit filter can clear the smell out within an hour indoors on the highest fan speed. I mostly vape in my basement with one of the purifiers running and it mostly contains the smell. If I wanted to eliminate it almost completely I’d do that plus seal the bottom of the door and also exhale into one of those smoke buddy things. I’m also in a duplex and it doesn’t smell much outside but if I do it near the house then my neighbours seem to close their patio window aggressively. It’s totally legal here and they can’t do anything about it but I don’t want to be rude so I mostly stay indoors (or go on a walk).
I’ve got a levoit and a blueair in different areas of my house, mostly because I grow at home. But either one can clear vape smell in about 30 minutes or so on the highest fan level (that’s with no windows open in the winter).
