We had two Blue Air Health Protect purifiers but swapped them out for Coway due to ozone concerns. The Blue Air ones are CARB-certified which means they emit < 50 ppb but they [don't say exactly how much](https://www.blueair.com/us/air-purifiers-and-ozone.html). 50 ppb is too high for what we'd like to live with 24/7. Anything without an ionizer or an ionizer that can be turned off (and kept off) will essentially have no ozone. They also made our home incredibly dusty because the ions were attaching to dust particles, making them heavier and falling on surfaces. It was noticable the first week we stopped using them.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the best air purifiers that you'll recommend for home currently? ->I just did the math. It’s 7710 cubic feet of air-space, which breaks down to 616.8 CFM to do that space 4.8x per hour on the highest fan speed. We have 3 BlueAir HealthProtect purifiers, which work fine, but it would be nice to have just one unit instead of 3 in one room. It isn’t the worst thing if we can’t find a one-unit setup.
r/AirPurifiers • ISO High Capacity Air Purifiers ->They have ionisers inside, some behind the filter some in the clean air exhaust. Why don’t you want to leave it on 24/7 it’s the whole point of having one. My blueair healthprotect has been running 24/7 for years
r/AirPurifiers • Air Purifier that turns off/standby once quality achieved ->I had a winix zero pro, which is their top level here in the UK and i have to say, it will be my first and last Winix! I bought it to replace a Blueair healthprotect and it was so poor at performance. With the Blueair, every month i have to clean the pre filters as they are caked in dust! I had the winx for a while and no once did the pre filters get any dust on them, despite it being left on 24/7. You could visibly see dust building up on its base, and around it but nothing inside it. (Yes i removed the plastic from the filters before installing) but it wasnt strong enough to make it inside to the pre filters. When I contacted Winix they were crap! Told me to contact their UK distributor, who told me to go to winix as they didnt sell it to me. Winix told me to then contact the retailer as it was in the first year of warranty for an exchange so at that point i asked Winix how I would be supported for the remaining years of the warranty after the retailers initial year, and they wouldnt answer me. Told me all i needed to know and it got sent back for a refund. When I had an issue with my Blueair, despite me not buying from them direct, they replaced my machine without hesitation and even sent me a newer model as the one i had was discontinued.
r/AirPurifiers • can breathe and sleep again (coway review) ->Made this small flowchart for a friend who kept sneezing through spring but wouldn’t commit to buying an air purifier Step 1: Identify the enemy Is it pollen? Dust? Pet dander? The ghost of springtime past? Yes, yes, and probably yes. Step 2: Must have criteria for air purifier \- can it actually trap allergens? \- won’t sound like a jet engine in baby’s room? \- easy on maintenance? \- doesn’t cost the soul of your firstborn? (ironic but important) Step 3: I went down the rabbit hole Compared Coway vs Levoit vs Dyson vs Honeywell vs one that looked like a spaceship BUT... nothing could compare to [blueair air purifier](https://rantsreviews.com/dp-B073WJL99W) \- Covers big spaces (so your nursery + more = chill) \- HEPASilent tech is real — gets dust, mold, pollen, pet funk, all of it \- Washable pre filter = less guilt about killing the planet \- Doesn’t wheeze like a dying robot at 2am \- Design lowkey slaps too Step 4: Baby sleeps better. You sneeze less. Partner doesn’t threaten to move to the forest. Life improves. You win!!!
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the Best Air Purifier for Allergies? ->BluAir (Swedish) is what we used in the middle east.
r/BuyCanadian • Canadian-made or Non-American Air purifier? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
