"They're incredible and the best thing is that they have this washable cloth sleeve (pre filter) that goes over the entire intake which happens to wrap all the way around. ... It does such a good job that the actual internal filter stays significantly cleaner and doesn't need to be cleaned or changed as often. ... It's a game changer."

"With the Blueair, every month i have to clean the pre filters as they are caked in dust!"

"Blueair imo because they have washable prefilters, and pet hair and dander is large and honestly doesn't need HEPA filters to clear it out the way, say, smoke does."

"OTOH, the two Blueair purifiers are on all the time and we have ***not*** noticed a decrease in the rate at which dust accumulates on the woodwork in the house."

"Maalikabok pa rin kahit super sealed yung unit."

"Those filters are crazy expensive, so that purchase turned into quite the "investment"."

"BlueAir has better performance but the filters don’t last long"

"I don’t like they have an ionizer that you can’t disable. ... Ionizers create ozone, and when ozone reacts with different molecules it creates all kinds of new compounds that can’t be predicted."

I have an Airmega 400 and BlueAir 7700i. BlueAir has better performance but the filters don’t last long

I’ll have to check for you. I do like it. Between the 2, they keep my indoor AQ pretty decent.

Have a set of BlueAir Health Protects that I have been running for several years. Their app is horrible, but the HACS add on works pretty well. I do have an automation check from time to time they are in the correct mode (e.g night mode, display brightness, etc.). I haven’t seen anyone besides IQAir make what seems to be a superior device (in US).

I just did the math. It’s 7710 cubic feet of air-space, which breaks down to 616.8 CFM to do that space 4.8x per hour on the highest fan speed. We have 3 BlueAir HealthProtect purifiers, which work fine, but it would be nice to have just one unit instead of 3 in one room. It isn’t the worst thing if we can’t find a one-unit setup.

They have ionisers inside, some behind the filter some in the clean air exhaust. Why don’t you want to leave it on 24/7 it’s the whole point of having one. My blueair healthprotect has been running 24/7 for years

I had a winix zero pro, which is their top level here in the UK and i have to say, it will be my first and last Winix! I bought it to replace a Blueair healthprotect and it was so poor at performance. With the Blueair, every month i have to clean the pre filters as they are caked in dust! I had the winx for a while and no once did the pre filters get any dust on them, despite it being left on 24/7. You could visibly see dust building up on its base, and around it but nothing inside it. (Yes i removed the plastic from the filters before installing) but it wasnt strong enough to make it inside to the pre filters. When I contacted Winix they were crap! Told me to contact their UK distributor, who told me to go to winix as they didnt sell it to me. Winix told me to then contact the retailer as it was in the first year of warranty for an exchange so at that point i asked Winix how I would be supported for the remaining years of the warranty after the retailers initial year, and they wouldnt answer me. Told me all i needed to know and it got sent back for a refund. When I had an issue with my Blueair, despite me not buying from them direct, they replaced my machine without hesitation and even sent me a newer model as the one i had was discontinued.

I have tried and gotten rid of Bluair and levoit- just inadequate performance and louder than I like. I replaced them with Medify and have been very happy with the switch. If memory serves I have an ma-50 in the living room and ma-40 is each bedroom.

It helps a lot. I bought it due to smoke but I’m happy to get rid of cooking and dog smells. I have one from Blueair.

I love my blueair. It's highly rated for the price, and has a cloth sleeve you wrap around the outside and toss in the wash that prefilters out the husky fluff. If your pup is smelly it's probably oily, and needs either more roll in leaves and dirt time or more frequent bathing. A simple rub with a damp cloth frequently, like daily if you're not using soap, will work wonders.
