"Super noticeable difference ... even just the fabric pre-filters catch a lot and their appearance varies from room to room (ex. dust in the bedroom, cooking oils in the kitchen) which leads me to believe they’re working!"

"They're incredible and the best thing is that they have this washable cloth sleeve (pre filter) that goes over the entire intake which happens to wrap all the way around. ... It does such a good job that the actual internal filter stays significantly cleaner and doesn't need to be cleaned or changed as often. ... It's a game changer."
"Blueair imo because they have washable prefilters, and pet hair and dander is large and honestly doesn't need HEPA filters to clear it out the way, say, smoke does."
"Blue air. The prefilter is washable."

"the larger sizes have significantly more expensive filters"
"Those filters are crazy expensive, so that purchase turned into quite the "investment"."
"BlueAir is ok but the filters are small and replace more often."

"I don’t like they have an ionizer that you can’t disable. ... Ionizers create ozone, and when ozone reacts with different molecules it creates all kinds of new compounds that can’t be predicted."

"OTOH, the two Blueair purifiers are on all the time and we have ***not*** noticed a decrease in the rate at which dust accumulates on the woodwork in the house."
"the auto setting barely did anything unless I literally blew smoke at them"
"Maalikabok pa rin kahit super sealed yung unit."

"Blue air is the best of the three, also isn’t HEPA but has a static generator which bothers some people."
"Although you'll find complaints it doesn't use a "real" HEPA filter"

I have cats and use the blueair511i max. It’s in the room with the 2 litter boxes and damn does it make a huge difference. Highly recommend an air filter . Mines automatic . Anytime the cats go in and do the “business” the air filter senses a motion from the litter being smacked around and kicks in .
I have a Blueair 511i max for my room which is 11ftlong and about 7ft tall and about 7ft wider does a decent job but I still get back I got for my stuffy nose and the dust which is does quite good at reducing the dust but my nose still feels horrible any suggestions I usually run it on 2-3 speed
We have 2 BlueAir 211i Max for our living room and upstairs and a 511i Max and humidifier for our kids room. I'm in Salt Lake City, UT where we get heavy pollution in the winter inversions and occasional forest fire smoke in the summer. These purifies make easy work of keeping the air clean and work perfectly with HA. They also have a nice look to them so they aren't as much of an eye sore.
Seconding this. I have two Blueairs too. I have a 511i Max also for my bedroom and the new Signature for the living room. Works well and good stats in HA, which is all I really wanted.

Love my blueair - i have 3
Blueair works okay. It’s expensive but does work. Coway is definitely more performance for the money though.
I live in Southern California, and the filters are great for fire season to keep the air clean inside. They also help when other things are going on outside like skunks, kicked up dust, the neighbors’ smoky fire pits, or even when it’s a bad pollen day. I’ve tried various brands and I still like the Coway AirMega 200M (same as the AP-1512HH). It’s not the quietest at higher speeds, and it’s not tiny, but it moves the air and filters very well. There’s a reason it’s long been the top pick of Wirecutter. If you want some more style, the various BlueAir models, especially the Pure line are very nice and also work well. They’re a bit expensive though. If money is no object, Austin Air makes some highly regarded machines. In general, UV and ozone are gimmicks. The biggest thing to look at are the CADR ratings. Higher numbers are good, they mean the unit is delivering more filtered air quicker. Always check replacement filter prices, often a good deal on a machine means they make money on selling filters.
I have tried and gotten rid of Bluair and levoit- just inadequate performance and louder than I like. I replaced them with Medify and have been very happy with the switch. If memory serves I have an ma-50 in the living room and ma-40 is each bedroom.
I have BlueAir in all my rooms. Makes a significant difference for me.
It helps a lot. I bought it due to smoke but I’m happy to get rid of cooking and dog smells. I have one from Blueair.
We love our blueair also. Got a dog a month ago and happy to hear from guests our house doesn’t have a dog smell.
