I have one.  The downside is it has one speed, but that speed is quiet.  I haven’t had to turn it off with company.  Only issue is if it’s between me and the TV, I have to turn the tv up a bit. CADR is HIGH.  This thing cooks.  It has basically eliminated my mold allergies indoors. And the energy usage is practically nothing.  Just 10 super efficient pc fans.

Yeah, so the option is probably sickle flow or mobius?  I think sickle flow is quieter, but the mobius moves more air.  But they aren’t that much louder. Honestly, for your purposes I would size your space and buy multiple smaller and quieter units.  That way you’ll have less noise and wind.   Like I do 10 ACH in my living area with the tower of power (overkill, 5 is probably ideal).  But I have to set it up so the fans are directed away from anywhere I would sit. Although in the summer that might be nice. If you get the units that blow up, wind is less of an issue.

I will note that I am relatively sensitive to frequencies as well. I’ve built 3 other purifiers like this myself with different fan configurations and I can’t stand the frequencies or throbbing they have.  The tower of power I’m totally fine with.

Yeah absolutely.  I don’t mind a little noise, but on some of these air purifiers to get the CADR that makes sense, you need to blast them.  I recently bought a PC fan air purifier from clean air kits. They t won’t win any beauty contests but it moves a tremendous amount of air with very little noise.
