Again, if Dyson wanted to put a 200 watts max input motor in they would. If they wanted to go for cadr they would. That is not their market. Those same tests show they do clean the air. After owning BISSELL products, several MyAir, air320 air400, they simply do not reach across the room to address and create a bubble of clean air. I found if I have to get another fan to aid a unit that is designed to aid a unit to clean the air and then maintain another unit that adds more maintenance and electricity cost atop another purchase, why do more? Edit: atop neither had both pm2.5 and voc sensors. So the air320’s were reacting to voc’s or the air400 was reacting to pm. Plus a solid standalone indoor air quality monitor with questionable accuracy? Dyson sensor suite offers useful live data if you want to be looking at it all day or truly set and forget. I have done rudimentary testing on the units with pm and vocs and aside from Dyson design flaws I’m happy with their performance. But I mostly own (4)big and quiet’s. I also have two tp02s, a tp07 and an hp07.
r/dyson • Thinking about getting a Dyson air purifier? ->First, any premium item with that big of a discount is usually "worth it". Secondly. The Hot/Cool work great. Bought my first about 6 years ago when it was called the HP02 Link model one of the first to use wifi/app. The HP02 saved us during a freeze with no power for days...hooked it up to the portable generator to keep our room warm. Then we decided to add another Hot/Cool 4 years ago HP04. We also have a Pure Cool. No issues on any, just regular maintenance like changing filters. We are happy with them all and the app to control and review data. I think the AM models don't have wifi/app capability...I was researching them recently to add another hot/cool.
r/dyson • Advice - is this worth it? ->Dyson Pure Cool works very well. It’s not cheap though. Highly recommend.
r/Thailand • Chart comparing popular air purifiers that are available in Thailand ->Tried a Dyson Pure Cool in the past. Nice design, but even on night mode the airflow was too much for light sleepers like me
r/AirQuality • Air purifier for dorm room ->Same, been brilliant so far.
r/homebridge • Best Homebridge/HomeKit Smart Air Purifiers? ->I’ve been using Dyson (wifi) with Homebridge and it’s been reliable. Most of the parameters does sync and work with HomeKit automation.
r/homebridge • Best Homebridge/HomeKit Smart Air Purifiers? ->I have a Dyson, BlueAir, and Levoit in various areas of the house. Levoit is near the litter box and is loud but does a good job - we never smell the litter box. Our favorite is the BlueAir in our bedroom - we keep it on auto mode 24/7. It’s super quiet and seems to work well. The Dyson is our most expensive one and we would probably not buy again. We like that it’s also a fan when it’s warm, but it doesn’t perform any better than the BlueAir which was a fraction of the cost.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Are air purifiers worth buying for pets? Which options would be the best you've tried? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
