"the filter collects a load of dust ... never had any clogs"
"The Dyson formaldehyde air purifier attempts to solve this issue, but directing air at stagnat pockets within a room to encourage dusty air to make it way towards the filter intake. That'll most likely be your best bet against dust if you don't want to manually remove it, ie vacuum, brush, etc etc."

"the software sucks"
I’ve a hot and cold purify formaldehyde. It’s been sold for 4 years. Works amazingly as a heater heating the room evenly, the filter collects a load of dust, never had any clogs and the app is brilliant. They are expensive but worth it.
r/dyson • Are the bladeless fans any good? ->Oh, fuck no. As an owner of four of these things, they’re some of my most regretted purchases. They have a laughably low CFM, are stupid loud on even medium speeds, develop squeaky bearings within months, the filters are expensive as shit, and the software sucks. Seriously, do not buy one of these. Edit: I have two TP07s, an HP04, and an HP09. They all suck equally.
r/AirQuality • What air purifier is the good/best to get for BEDROOM in today's market? ->Look for true HEPA filtration, and formaldehyde filtration. Dyson TP09 or HP09 are amazing, as is their BEAST the new Big+Quiet Formaldehyde purifier. These are very well made and designed purifiers with a true commitment to air quality. Some of these purifiers end up making things worse.
r/BuyItForLife • The REAL best air purifier - I HATE DUST! ->Both, I have the hot and cool link, we like it for monitoring and purifying, plus single room heating. It works great in conjunction with our HVAC system so it’s basically providing a single room filter plus heating capability, and helps push around the well-filtered air from the HVAC. And we can see when the HVAC filters actually need to be changed because you can see the stats no longer sit at 0 the whole time. But let me be clear, it’s absolutely not worth the price
r/BuyItForLife • The REAL best air purifier - I HATE DUST! ->If you looking for filter out dust you need the one has big and powerful fan but if you need one to filter out VOC and a microscopic stuff you better of looking for multi layer filter system with HEPA , I have used Coway for dust and Dyson formaldehyde for microscopic and IQAIR multigas for road traffic pollution next to my apartment!
r/AirQuality • What is the best air purifier out there? ->There is truly no "one and done" air purifier for dust, as dust is too heavy to be pulled by typical air purifiers. The Dyson formaldehyde air purifier attempts to solve this issue, but directing air at stagnat pockets within a room to encourage dusty air to make it way towards the filter intake. That'll most likely be your best bet against dust if you don't want to manually remove it, ie vacuum, brush, etc etc.
r/BuyItForLife • What Air Purifier should i get against dust? ->Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link. I think it’s from 2016? The filters are a continuing cost but overall very happy with it.
r/BuyItForLife • Avoid Dyson fan/air purifiers ->Dyson customer service is crap. I bought the hot and cold one. From the box, it wouldn't track the pollutants in the air when i paired it to my app. I thought since it was a new pairing, i needed to give it a couple days for a reading. I forgot about it. A couple of weeks go by and my wife reminds me that there's still no reading. So I called customer support. We tried trouble shooting it. No go. Then we had a video call and did more trouble shooting. Nada. Then they said I could pay to send it in and they'd take a look at it. I said "over my dead body, it's 2 weeks old!" Then they said they'd pay for shipping. At this point, I was pissed. I said I wanted them to send me a new one and I would send it back. They said no can do. I ended up contacting Amazon and getting a full refund. Yeah, screw Dyson.
r/dyson • Advice - is this worth it? ->I have a hot/cold Dyson that runs daily. I got it in 2020 and if my house were on fire, I would save my fan!
r/Costco • Need Help Choosing an Air Purifier from Costco—Totally Lost Here! ->I’ve got both a breville (for a medium sized room, cost about $100) and a Dyson hot+cool with purification ($545 on sale at JB now) and both are great and non-wifi!
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Best non-wifi air purifier for baby’s room- Australia ->We use the Dyson Hot & cool air purifier, definitely not the cheapest option but it saved us getting a fan heater for the few cold days we have in winter.
r/HongKong • Seeking Air Purifier Recommendations ->I’ve been very happy with our Dyson hot/cold air purifier. It’s so satisfying hearing the dog fart and three seconds later it boosting up to remove the “environmental threat”.
r/BabyBumps • Are there any Good Air Purifiers for Pets on the market today? ->i splurged and got the dyson air purifier that also works as a fan and space heater. personally, it was well worth the investment. i'm able to monitor the air quality, humidify and temperature in my home through an app.
r/TwinCities • Air Purifiers Worth it? ->I second these. We made them for my pottery studio in the basement and for the area with the cat box first. We literally cannot smell the cat box at all now- until it’s time to change the filters! They work really well for their purpose and I’d recommend at least trying it since it’s going to be a lot cheaper. We also have two dysons- they’re heat and cool with an air purifier- and not only do they not seems to do much of anything to the air, they also have expensive filters and get mad when you use an off brand one. (They are absolutely awesome for temperature control in a 100 year old house, though.)
r/BuyItForLife • Mega allergy sufferer, what's the best damn industrial air purifier I can possibly get? I just need it for a small apartment, but I don't care, I suffer so badly that I'll blow $1k if I have to clean every molecule from my sleeping environment. ->Yes I have two and sold a third. I also have a Molekule but prefer the Dyson especially since it’s easy to transport when I travel and the remote comes in handy to not have to use WiFi when traveling. The fact it has heat and cool too just make it a win win!
r/dyson • Advice - is this worth it? ->Same, been brilliant so far.
r/homebridge • Best Homebridge/HomeKit Smart Air Purifiers? ->Just never buy from blue air directly. They won’t help up if a package is lost. I’ve used a few other smart purifiers. The Dyson ones suck at dust and the smart part works with Alexa and google home only and it’s very buggy. It needs to be reconnected often. Just got a lg 360 and it’s good other than the wifi module in the unit. It loses connection frequently and also is limited to their app. It briefly worked in Alexa and google home but often non responsive. It does have built in air quality sensor though. We also had a blue air sense model several years ago. That was one of their first smart models. It had to get WiFi reset about once a year and didn’t support a lot of integrations. Eventually the WiFi module failed on it. We have business grade wifi (Cisco Meraki mr56 x 2 APs). so it’s not like budget consumer WiFi routers.
r/AirPurifiers • In need of smart air purifiers ->I’ve been using Dyson (wifi) with Homebridge and it’s been reliable. Most of the parameters does sync and work with HomeKit automation.
r/homebridge • Best Homebridge/HomeKit Smart Air Purifiers? ->I have a Dyson, BlueAir, and Levoit in various areas of the house. Levoit is near the litter box and is loud but does a good job - we never smell the litter box. Our favorite is the BlueAir in our bedroom - we keep it on auto mode 24/7. It’s super quiet and seems to work well. The Dyson is our most expensive one and we would probably not buy again. We like that it’s also a fan when it’s warm, but it doesn’t perform any better than the BlueAir which was a fraction of the cost.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Are air purifiers worth buying for pets? Which options would be the best you've tried? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
