I’ve been using Dyson (wifi) with Homebridge and it’s been reliable. Most of the parameters does sync and work with HomeKit automation.

I’ve been quite happy with my Dyson air purifier. My sensitiveness to air quality and dust has significantly gotten better. My sneezes gone completely which was quite sensitive before purchasing the purifier. However, not a very long time user, hardly 6 months.

Just bought a Winix Zero S and really working wonders! It stopped most of my dust-related morning allergy. Would 100% recommend for the price. I know I’m gonna get flamed for this but my Dyson TP09 does an okay job too in my office. Just takes longer to clean the room (and it’s more noisy). At least it clears the high levels of formaldehyde that my office seems to have. (With severe allergies stay away from Dyson though)

My Winix Zero S has made wonders for my stuffy nose. I used to wake up and spend the morning blowing my nose. Now I’ll just do it after waking up and be good for the rest of the day (most of the time). The important thing is you have it running at full speed at least 30m before you enter your bedroom, then you can switch it to lower levels for the night. I have a Dyson TP09 running in my office as well, that might be helping too (this one starts running at full speed 2h prior to my arrival to the office, since it’s a big room with high ceilings).

Probably an unpopular opinion (and i dislike the founder too nowadays) but the Dyson Air purifiers are amazing and integrate even better with home assistant Look at all those entities 😍 https://preview.redd.it/e42exv1kjrhe1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=acd1a0bb8556f1c0366ecfb27e185a84735c0448 Temperature, humidity, nitrogen dioxide, PM2. 5, PM10, VOC, Formaldehyde... The carbon Monoxide sensor is a separate sensor I added to the room, not Dyson. Also filter life, night mode, on off, auto, movement.inhave not touched the remotes in ages

Yes. Got them refurbished for 200 a piece on ebay, direct from Dyson Germany, with 1 year warranty and new filters. I bought 4. Then one of them started to produce a high pitched noise every now and then, called them and they sent me, get a load of this, a brand new one, sealed, worth 700 euros. Not a single question asked, just straight RMA I got lucky on that Edit. They also consume very little power https://preview.redd.it/guy7lnp3srhe1.jpeg?width=3088&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6f6b1360c3871e1b8fe869f09f4c205519c9485 Try to see if the official Dyson store has an ebay outlet and sell official refurbished

Yes it has gone down since late last year. I have a notification set up just in case they ever sell them again. I have 3 TP09 and 1 TP07 (the TP09 are the golden ones, that is the one I later got for free new) and the tp07 was the first I bought

I have a few Dyson TP09. They provide a ton of sensors and have their own MQTT Broker, so the integration into HA is trivial. https://preview.redd.it/mdzyccjlu54f1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e0a42aafeeabbb0fa290cb61db2f1532fd8c3a4 These are some of the entities it provides (except the CO sensor)

Thanks for your response, mate. Initially, I just wanted an air purifier for my bedroom, which is 25 m². The Dyson did a decent job, but I noticed Dyson doesn’t have the best reputation on this subreddit. I considered buying the TP09 again, but I’m not fully convinced about its long-term build quality. The one positive is their customer support—it’s easy to reach, and getting a refund was smooth. I used both the TP09 and TP07 for 45 days before returning them without any hassle. While my main focus is still the bedroom, I’ve realized how much an air purifier can improve indoor air quality, so that is why i am looking to cover a larger area. • The Coway 150 covers up to 73 m², with a pre-filter, activated carbon, and green HEPA filter. The CADR is a bit low at 281 ㎥/h, and I’ve read that some people have had issues with a weird plastic smell from the unit. • The Winix zero+ pro covers up to 100 m² and has a pre-filter, activated carbon, and HEPA filter. It has a higher CADR of 470 ㎥/h and is the closest option I’ve considered buying. However, I’m not sure how effective it is for VOCs and odors, and reviews about their customer support are pretty mixed.

I've been using the Dyson TP09 air purifier since 2022 (two years now). You need to replace the filter every year (and its really easy) and it costs 5k. The machine cost me 42k, but they have increased the cost since then to about 46k on discount i think. My overall experience with the machine is really good, you can actually feel the difference. It drops the AQI to about 1-2 sometimes, but in winters it can get it to between 5-10 (PM2.5). I live around Sion-Wadala area btw, so your experience can also differ. I also use it only for my room, which is about 150 sqft.

Look for true HEPA filtration, and formaldehyde filtration. Dyson TP09 or HP09 are amazing, as is their BEAST the new Big+Quiet Formaldehyde purifier. These are very well made and designed purifiers with a true commitment to air quality. Some of these purifiers end up making things worse.

If you looking for filter out dust you need the one has big and powerful fan but if you need one to filter out VOC and a microscopic stuff you better of looking for multi layer filter system with HEPA , I have used Coway for dust and Dyson formaldehyde for microscopic and IQAIR multigas for road traffic pollution next to my apartment!

There is truly no "one and done" air purifier for dust, as dust is too heavy to be pulled by typical air purifiers. The Dyson formaldehyde air purifier attempts to solve this issue, but directing air at stagnat pockets within a room to encourage dusty air to make it way towards the filter intake. That'll most likely be your best bet against dust if you don't want to manually remove it, ie vacuum, brush, etc etc.

How did you manage to research so thoroughly yet still consider including the Dyson? not only that - in an 80-100m² house? Moreover, the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of the Winix Compact 4-stage Air Purifier, Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde TP09, and Dyson Purifier Cool Purifying Fan TP07 is not suitable for larger room sizes. These units are more effective in smaller spaces, and their CADR values do not match the requirements for adequately purifying larger areas. You need at least 5 ACH (on low or medium fan settings for low noise) to make the Air Purifiers actually works. Air purifiers are most effective in small rooms. To ensure optimal air quality throughout an entire house, multiple units are necessary. The higher the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR), the faster it can purify the air in a given space. However, Dyson is the worst of them all. And, none of the machines mentioned are sufficient to clean a medium-sized apartment (80-100m²) on their own; they are best suited for individual rooms. Please using these information below to research again: \- To effectively combat dust, you'll need a HEPA or MERV filter. \- When it comes to VOCs and odors, the more activated carbon present, the better it will be at eliminating them. \- Last but certainly not least, the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) is the most critical factor to consider for overall air purification efficiency. It MUST be at least 5 ACH

Why Dyson, they are literally the worst AP on the market

Low quality parts. They market well using fancy CGI but the reality is constant maintenance and very expensive cheap parts that fail even after 1-3months Dyson is the most talked about vacuum when it comes to failure and shoddy workmanship

Just never buy from blue air directly. They won’t help up if a package is lost. I’ve used a few other smart purifiers. The Dyson ones suck at dust and the smart part works with Alexa and google home only and it’s very buggy. It needs to be reconnected often. Just got a lg 360 and it’s good other than the wifi module in the unit. It loses connection frequently and also is limited to their app. It briefly worked in Alexa and google home but often non responsive. It does have built in air quality sensor though. We also had a blue air sense model several years ago. That was one of their first smart models. It had to get WiFi reset about once a year and didn’t support a lot of integrations. Eventually the WiFi module failed on it. We have business grade wifi (Cisco Meraki mr56 x 2 APs). so it’s not like budget consumer WiFi routers.

I have a Dyson, BlueAir, and Levoit in various areas of the house. Levoit is near the litter box and is loud but does a good job - we never smell the litter box. Our favorite is the BlueAir in our bedroom - we keep it on auto mode 24/7. It’s super quiet and seems to work well. The Dyson is our most expensive one and we would probably not buy again. We like that it’s also a fan when it’s warm, but it doesn’t perform any better than the BlueAir which was a fraction of the cost.
