"We’ve also had terrible Smokey days from the Canadian wildfires in my area and when I last replaced my filter, it was almost black so it was working hard!"
"The sensors are amazing. ... Yes whenever I cook or smoke they instantly kick on and work really well."
"for me Dyson has much better sensors, probably the best in the market. ... I farted and Dyson picked up immediately, while other brands didnt seem to even notice."

"I could clear my living room and hallway faster with the AirFanta alone. ... I've been testing it and it cleans the smell faster than my Winix."
"I had it going 24 hours a day in the living room of my 1 bedroom apartment, around 750 sq ft. I was so comfortable I was baking and cooking while reading posts in my local sub from people who were absolutely miserable and had blocked off all but 1 room in their house and even multiple a/c units couldn’t keep that 1 room cool, or apartments that were in the high 90s inside even with an a/c unit."
"Upstairs one cools two fairly decent sized rooms to a nice chilly temp"

"I use a Dyson with Siri shortcuts and it’s fully automated. ... Auto on/off and different settings depending on my location and time of day."
"I’ve been using Dyson (wifi) with Homebridge and it’s been reliable. Most of the parameters does sync and work with HomeKit automation."
"Same, been brilliant so far."

"I lost 300$ on a50 gen 5,has worked maybe 10 hours totally ... and dock station froze and stayed in xbox mode after a regular software update... ... tried everything i could, believe me..."
"if you also regularly use Bluetooth on the go, then Astro isn for you as the Bluetooth is on the dock and not on the headset ... Astro is definitely not worth the price when the Bluetooth is on the dock. That was a stupid thing to do, because anyone who buys a headset with Bluetooth would want to use the headset away from their set up and Bluetooth on the go"
"The prices for wireless speakers/subwoofer that sync with a soundbar are outragious. ... 2000€ or more for a sonos arc ultra + sub + 2 rear speakers."

"I literally just bought the Airmega 350 on Amazon and immediately regretted since I can't find the replacement filters for sale anywhere. ... Coway finally responded but wasn't helpful. They said they don't know when the filters for the 350 will be released."
"450 is round. New design. Not as good but more trendy. ... Higher claimed CADR. It is round so that number will go down rapidly. ... The VERY SHORT version, although ... there's a sticky ... is that round units are not inferior due to their shape. They're inferior because ALMOST WITHOUT EXCEPTION they have: * No removable pre-filter * Minimal Carbon, placed after the main filter * Deformable main filter * Smaller fans which have to spin faster to move more air therefore have a shorter lifespan * Shorter filter life leading to more costly replacement * Questionable filter efficiency, since it's difficult to manufacture a deformable HEPA filter. Levoit in particular claimed their filters were HEPA but they weren't at the time. They might be now, since they've started shipping them reinforced. * Instructions to VACUUM YOUR FILTERS, which pretty much means they're not HEPA. ... The airmega round units are, unfortunately, no exception."
"filter replacements can get pricey though ... filters are WAY overpriced considering you can get the machine with 2 filters for $120.."

"About to send the PC1 back (it’s my third in 2 weeks) because of whining noise ... Dyson also had peaks of 76db which may be the whining noise!) ... The sound on the Philips is much more what you expect - no whining just the sound of the air which is not annoying like the whine."
"The sound is too loud at Max level. ... Too loud"

"I agree with the “too low”. The output at 10 is horrible for a fan unless you are at least 6 feet or closer to it. ... Since I have it in our living room, it just doesn’t move enough air to be of use on the fan side. ... Unless you sit nonsensically close to it, it’s one of the worst “fans” I’ve ever purchased. The output is a joke."
"This fan is disappointing, the airspeed is too low at max limit. ... Truee, but even at max speed airflow is too low ... Unless you sit nonsensically close to it, it’s one of the worst “fans” I’ve ever purchased. The output is a joke."
"even on night mode the airflow was too much for light sleepers like me"

r/homebridge • Best Homebridge/HomeKit Smart Air Purifiers? ->for me Dyson has much better sensors, probably the best in the market.
r/dyson • Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 vs Philips Air Performer 8000 ->I farted and Dyson picked up immediately, while other brands didnt seem to even notice.
r/dyson • Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 vs Philips Air Performer 8000 ->About to send the PC1 back (it’s my third in 2 weeks) because of whining noise and have got the Philips instead (was going to get the 7000 but Philips have a sale on the 8000 making it cheaper than the 7000!). It’s quieter for sure - I measured 1m away using an app with max fan on both and Philips averaged 64db either Dyson on 68db. Dyson also had peaks of 76db which may be the whining noise!). The sound on the Philips is much more what you expect - no whining just the sound of the air which is not annoying like the whine. Air flow is also way better on the Philips - sitting on the settee 2.5m away we can feel it strongly on max, where as the Dyson was a pleasant breeze. I prefer the Dyson style but the Philips is still attractive and modern and fits well in our lounge. Sizewise they are very close in height but Philips has a bigger base and also noticeably heavier. Apps both good, but more data in the Philips one. Philips has more features, a circulation and heat mode as well as the fan, and a new AI auto mode but I’m not exactly sure what that does yet! Any other questions let my know, or anything you’d like me to test. Dyson is going back tomorrow.
r/dyson • Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 vs Philips Air Performer 8000 ->For Dyson PC1 I get Air Quality, PM2,5 PM10 indoor and Air Quality, PM2.5, PM10, N02, Grass Pollen, Tree Pollen, Temp and humidity outdoors. For Philips 8000 Air Quality, PM2.5, Gas, Allergens, Humidity, Temp Indoor and Wind, Humidity, UV Index, PM10, PM2.5, Grass Pollen, Mugwort Pollen, Alder Pollen, Ragweed Pollen, Birch Pollen, Olive Tree Pollen. Strangely the PC1 wouldn’t take my local town, I had to choose a bigger one nearby for outdoor data, even though my other Dyson machine does. In Dyson you have to search for a town/city. On Philips if you allow location detection it finds it for you and it was my local town. The AI mode which I have now looked at uses some AI model to analyse the data captured including I assume how you use the machine to control Indoor Air quality, learn usage patterns to determine quiet times, energy optimisation, and performance personalisation (by looking at outdoor air quality cleaning performance). Sounds impressive - but time will tell if it is a noticeable improvement (or worse than without it!) Disagree re the look, but that’s highly subjective 😀
r/dyson • Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 vs Philips Air Performer 8000 ->Build quality is solid. The Dyson is much lighter and feels more plasticky (still nice though). So far very impressed with it, with the stand out quality being the power of the fan and the fact it’s relatively quiet with no whine. Edit: also filters appear to work a treat - we have had high grass pollen here last few days but indoors the sensors report nothing even though we have had windows and doors open at times. I’m not sneezing anyhow!
r/dyson • Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 vs Philips Air Performer 8000 ->Why Dyson, they are literally the worst AP on the market
r/dyson • Which Dyson fan/air purifier is this? ->Low quality parts. They market well using fancy CGI but the reality is constant maintenance and very expensive cheap parts that fail even after 1-3months Dyson is the most talked about vacuum when it comes to failure and shoddy workmanship
r/dyson • Which Dyson fan/air purifier is this? ->My dad has one and like many customers he's never changed the filter or cleaned the pre filtration system.......it now blows meat flavoured air hahahaha
r/dyson • Which Dyson fan/air purifier is this? ->Just never buy from blue air directly. They won’t help up if a package is lost. I’ve used a few other smart purifiers. The Dyson ones suck at dust and the smart part works with Alexa and google home only and it’s very buggy. It needs to be reconnected often. Just got a lg 360 and it’s good other than the wifi module in the unit. It loses connection frequently and also is limited to their app. It briefly worked in Alexa and google home but often non responsive. It does have built in air quality sensor though. We also had a blue air sense model several years ago. That was one of their first smart models. It had to get WiFi reset about once a year and didn’t support a lot of integrations. Eventually the WiFi module failed on it. We have business grade wifi (Cisco Meraki mr56 x 2 APs). so it’s not like budget consumer WiFi routers.
r/AirPurifiers • In need of smart air purifiers ->I own a Coway Airmega, BlueAir 311 Auto, and a Dyson PureCool. Coway is for the main living room/kitchen, BlueAir for kids rom, and Dyson for our bedroom. Overall the Coway is my favorite. It’s a beast and has a low cost of annual maintenance. Strongly recommend.
r/AskNYC • Best air purifier for NYC apartment? ->I got one of the Dyson ones that oscillates. It's amazing.
r/dubai • Air purifier recommendations? ->First, any premium item with that big of a discount is usually "worth it". Secondly. The Hot/Cool work great. Bought my first about 6 years ago when it was called the HP02 Link model one of the first to use wifi/app. The HP02 saved us during a freeze with no power for days...hooked it up to the portable generator to keep our room warm. Then we decided to add another Hot/Cool 4 years ago HP04. We also have a Pure Cool. No issues on any, just regular maintenance like changing filters. We are happy with them all and the app to control and review data. I think the AM models don't have wifi/app capability...I was researching them recently to add another hot/cool.
r/dyson • Advice - is this worth it? ->mame doma Dyson Pure Cool a funguje. Pokud koupis cisticku, mela by mit monitor kvality vzduchu vestaveny v pristroji a taky sledovani stavu opotrebeni filtru. V CR bych Dyson kvuli brutalnim cenam nekoupil
