"It's absolutely local, Dyson Air purifiers run an MQTT Broker that the integration connects to natively (you don't need to have MQTT installed at all, the integration does its own thing independently) ... a completely local MQTT based integration"

"the Google Assistant feature that I used so many times a day"

"Temperature, humidity, nitrogen dioxide, PM2. 5, PM10, VOC, Formaldehyde... The carbon Monoxide sensor is a separate sensor I added to the room, not Dyson. Also filter life, night mode, on off, auto, movement."

"Last year there were wildfires nearby and the airmega kicked itself into high gear (I keep it on auto), so I do really trust that it’s actually doing something."

"We’ve also had terrible Smokey days from the Canadian wildfires in my area and when I last replaced my filter, it was almost black so it was working hard!"

"My family has been breathing easier, especially during allergy season"

"reliable ... I’ve been using the same inflatable pad for 6 or 7 years now and I’ve never had an issue with punctures or leaks"

"I’ve had them for 5 years now, use daily, and have had zero issues."

"Then one of them started to produce a high pitched noise every now and then, called them and they sent me, get a load of this, a brand new one, sealed, worth 700 euros. Not a single question asked, just straight RMA"

"Nemo’s warranty is fantastic. ... They repaired a rainfly for free that I’m pretty sure definitely ripped due to me."

"their customer support was better than any company I’ve ever encountered ... When my first tent got some delamination on the waterproofing layer they replaced it for free"

"The cats are finally not terrified of it ... I can set it to quiet mode where it is barely audible ... Even quiet mode picks everything up just fine."

"Noise on the 3i is next to zero."

"another plus for Alen is that they are insanely quiet. I have a 45i and 75i and they are excellent."

"if you also regularly use Bluetooth on the go, then Astro isn for you as the Bluetooth is on the dock and not on the headset ... Astro is definitely not worth the price when the Bluetooth is on the dock. That was a stupid thing to do, because anyone who buys a headset with Bluetooth would want to use the headset away from their set up and Bluetooth on the go"

"The prices for wireless speakers/subwoofer that sync with a soundbar are outragious. ... 2000€ or more for a sonos arc ultra + sub + 2 rear speakers."

"Just purchased a Dyson Air Purifier TP07 it arrived on my door step the next day. I unpack it read the directions then plug it in and turn it on. It starts to boot up for 4 sec and I get the triangle with exclamation point. ... Trouble shoot only to find that I have to contact Dyson. The phone Dyson phone robot tells me I have to package the air purifier up and send it back. They will repair it and send it back to me in about a month. ... I say that I will send it back but I want my money back ( $840.00). Robot replies how about we send you a new one instead ? I say ok . Robot say send back the first one and we will send you a new one. I say how long will this take? Robot about a 1 month. I say give me my money back. ... Long story short. It took Dyson 1 day to deliver the air purifier to me. It takes 1 month approx to repair, replace or refund my money. Why does it take 1 day to deliver and 1 month to repair, replace or refund? You might want to take that into consideration before doing and business with them."

Oh, fuck no. As an owner of four of these things, they’re some of my most regretted purchases. They have a laughably low CFM, are stupid loud on even medium speeds, develop squeaky bearings within months, the filters are expensive as shit, and the software sucks. Seriously, do not buy one of these. Edit: I have two TP07s, an HP04, and an HP09. They all suck equally.

Looks like a TP07 which was being blown out at a lot of stores for $399 since it was replaced by a new model but could also be the Costco version which was without a wifi connection and that one was going for $199 just a month or so ago. Ask them if it’s an app connected version.

I’ve been using Dyson (wifi) with Homebridge and it’s been reliable. Most of the parameters does sync and work with HomeKit automation.

I picked up a Dyson TP07 for my living room and it cleared pet hair and dust in minutes on medium.

I, personally, would not buy a Dyson purifier or anything of the sort from them directly. Please be advised by all of the other commenters warning you of their god-awful customer service. I've switched to only purchasing from Nordstrom/Costco, so in the event of needing to return it or activate a warranty, I can. I have one TP07 and one TP7C that work phenomenally (both ~4 years old), but at least I can rest assured knowing the return process won't be a hassle. I highly recommend if possible!

I adopted a rescue pup and was surprised by how much hair my Dyson TP07 pulls out of the air with its HEPA and carbon layers.

I grabbed a Dyson TP07 last spring and it’s quietly pulled pet hair and dust out of my living room without me even noticing it’s on.

Low quality parts. They market well using fancy CGI but the reality is constant maintenance and very expensive cheap parts that fail even after 1-3months Dyson is the most talked about vacuum when it comes to failure and shoddy workmanship

Just never buy from blue air directly. They won’t help up if a package is lost. I’ve used a few other smart purifiers. The Dyson ones suck at dust and the smart part works with Alexa and google home only and it’s very buggy. It needs to be reconnected often. Just got a lg 360 and it’s good other than the wifi module in the unit. It loses connection frequently and also is limited to their app. It briefly worked in Alexa and google home but often non responsive. It does have built in air quality sensor though. We also had a blue air sense model several years ago. That was one of their first smart models. It had to get WiFi reset about once a year and didn’t support a lot of integrations. Eventually the WiFi module failed on it. We have business grade wifi (Cisco Meraki mr56 x 2 APs). so it’s not like budget consumer WiFi routers.

Yes it has gone down since late last year. I have a notification set up just in case they ever sell them again. I have 3 TP09 and 1 TP07 (the TP09 are the golden ones, that is the one I later got for free new) and the tp07 was the first I bought
