Damn not bad at all!
I'm still using a TP07 I bought from Dyson Refurb a few years ago. Still doing alright, so I guess the brand hasn't let me down yet. I do enjoy using the fan every now and then in the summer.
It is quiet. The sound pitch to me is still annoying but it definetly isn’t as annoying or as loud as the tp07 or hp07/hp2. If it helps, I find the hp07/hp2 quieter in reverse airflow mode. I can sleep with max speed 7. But of course not it heat mode.
It’s also quite efficient compared to the tower models consuming only 18 watts at max speed.
Just look at the bottom of the machine. There is a sticker with model name.
If the unit is all silver it is TP07 with wifi.
After came the same model but without wifi named tp7a. The tp7a is not all silver. The middle is dark silver and the remote is also dark silver.
Its great that Dyson is able to combine all these feature into one product but it doesn’t do the best job with air purification.
Had a tower fan with air purification and the sensor failed in 9 months. Instead of replacing the sensor, the service center determined that it is easier to give us a replacement unit but only honor the original one year warranty.
bought a used dyson tp, before that just a box fan and merv filter. watching the filter media go from bright white to covered in dust and dark gray for a small room clearly showed a need for air filtration. It should be a part of everyones home
You'll want to block places the smoke is entering from if possible (a rolled up towel in front of door, covers on electrical outlets).
Dyson air purifier fans will help. I've smoked inside my place and run the dyson and it got rid of all the smell but it ran full blast and that's a bit loud. You can also try other natural air deodorizers like putting out a bowl of baking soda. Ground coffee, orange peel and apple slices are also supposed to help. I used them when I used to smoke to freshen my place along with vinegar (tho the vinegar has a strong smell) and thought it was helpful.
