"I experimented with Dyson - if it's the model that provides heating or cooling, there is a chemical in the device that can cause reactions."

"The air purifier part lacks though, I’ve had cheaper devices off Amazon filter the air better."

I switched out my conventional fan heater for the Dyson HP10 around 4 months back and it’s already saved me money on my electricity bill. I was dubious at first but it’s working great. Not to mention how quickly it heats the room up and maintains it at the desired temperature. The air purifier part lacks though, I’ve had cheaper devices off Amazon filter the air better.

AM09 will work great. The HP10 will last 1-5 months. The new motor assembly is comically terrible on the new fans. They will develop an unbearable grinding/screeching sound.

I feel for you, OP. I am an allergic-to-everything person to the point that I've needed to move homes to get away from paint, varnished wood, carpet, etc. The biggest trigger for me, though, and maybe for you is any centralized heating and cooling system. The systems' filters don't matter - the room's unfiltered air is also being blown in your face. I haven't found a purifier that can offset this problem. I don't use ACs and all my heat is water-based or electric. I experimented with Dyson - if it's the model that provides heating or cooling, there is a chemical in the device that can cause reactions. You can also be sensitive to the material in any carbon filter, like coal. The imperfect journey continues, but I ended up getting a custom purifer from Aller Air and I use it in the same room as a Coway HEPA. One for gas and chemicals, one for particulates. It still doesn't save me completely from my dusty old building, but I can now be confident that it's the only issue. Good luck!

Dyson customer service is crap. I bought the hot and cold one. From the box, it wouldn't track the pollutants in the air when i paired it to my app. I thought since it was a new pairing, i needed to give it a couple days for a reading. I forgot about it. A couple of weeks go by and my wife reminds me that there's still no reading. So I called customer support. We tried trouble shooting it. No go. Then we had a video call and did more trouble shooting. Nada. Then they said I could pay to send it in and they'd take a look at it. I said "over my dead body, it's 2 weeks old!" Then they said they'd pay for shipping. At this point, I was pissed. I said I wanted them to send me a new one and I would send it back. They said no can do. I ended up contacting Amazon and getting a full refund. Yeah, screw Dyson.

I have a hot/cold Dyson that runs daily. I got it in 2020 and if my house were on fire, I would save my fan!

I’ve got both a breville (for a medium sized room, cost about $100) and a Dyson hot+cool with purification ($545 on sale at JB now) and both are great and non-wifi!

We use the Dyson Hot & cool air purifier, definitely not the cheapest option but it saved us getting a fan heater for the few cold days we have in winter.

Yes I have two and sold a third. I also have a Molekule but prefer the Dyson especially since it’s easy to transport when I travel and the remote comes in handy to not have to use WiFi when traveling. The fact it has heat and cool too just make it a win win!

I have a Dyson, BlueAir, and Levoit in various areas of the house. Levoit is near the litter box and is loud but does a good job - we never smell the litter box. Our favorite is the BlueAir in our bedroom - we keep it on auto mode 24/7. It’s super quiet and seems to work well. The Dyson is our most expensive one and we would probably not buy again. We like that it’s also a fan when it’s warm, but it doesn’t perform any better than the BlueAir which was a fraction of the cost.
